Costa Coffee in Epsom and Ewell

I went into costa in Ashley Centre at 11.0am wednesday morning 24th Oct. All was good until i saw a female assistant blow her nose on white tissue then proceed to wipe down the coffee making area with the same piece of tissue! Absolutely disgusting. The manager was standing next to her doing paper work. Do they have such things as health training? I can assure you this is true what I saw there was 3 of us having coffee!

This Costa is the worst and worst every time I'm visiting 😔 staff was unfriendly, and the coffee was terrible. The place was dirty, with sticky tables and messy floors. After multiple bad experiences, I’m done with this place. Avoid it if you can. Very disappointed because I love Costa coffee ☕🫤

We wnt in for lunch & it was very low on food even though it was only 11.50 am.

Delivery driver was friendly but the toastie was cold

Served by a very unpleasant large dark girl (chika?) Very ubrupt and didnt wait for me to finish my order and kept interrupting. To busy chatting and having a laugh with her colleagues. Needs a shuffle of staff desperately we pay for customer service and its not here. Will be going elsewhere. Sort out your bad attitude.

Noisy while works are being done and Wi-Fi doesn’t work

Really friendly staff. They work really well as a team. Efficient, good manager,organised and clean. One member exceptional customer service think he was wilco ex employee.

Flat white was very good but no Costa internet only Ashley centre internet if you can get a seat in front

Epsom Ashley centre staff are so rude , and service is rubbish. I had to leave the food i ordered , one of the staff made me so uncomfortable.

Got abused for having allergies. We ordered 2 cheese and tomato toasties and before the woman put them in told her about my allergies. She shouted in my mums face when she told her that and said along the lines of "you should have told me at the start now I have to clean everything!!!" and rolled her eyes at us a cold expression her face. I could not believe it she hadn't even taken both out the packaging so what was the issue. Never been treated so badly in my life for having something I can't help that affects me daily and is a big source of anxiety for me as it is! No one has ever made such a fuss about something as common as allergies before that I've ever seen. I deserve respect as much as anyone else does and so do the people with me. After she told me she couldn't guarantee that it wasn't nut free as they're made in the same factory with the same cold expression repeatedly telling me that it was a risk but if she'd checked the packaging properly there was nothing stating that. Awful terrible and traumatising experience! Complete mind play.

Very rude customer service, I asked for a larger cup for my medium drink, so it doesn't spill in my baby's pram's cup holder. I was told a firm "no, not allowed". Surely you could be a little more flexible? I am a regular customer, but now will be avoiding this store

I wasn’t in when it was delivered considering as I ordered at 8.05 and it was delivered at home 12!!!!!!! This is ridiculous!!

Lovely coffee but the toilet is ALWAYS out of order which you do not know until you need to use it! Then you have to run to the nearest public toilet. Not very good for some people with bladder issues!

A nice Costa - coffee consistently good. Nice place to sit, can get very busy. Shame toilets are closed more often than open. Once I've left to use toilets in the Ashley centre I seldom go back in for my coffee and try somewhere else instead. Please keep that in mind.

Waited hour and a half for delivery. Stone cold. Coffee spilt onto now inedible items. Will not bother again.

I visited with my sister, and had good service. The coffee and food were fine BUT it was SO NOISY! It would benefit from some sound-deadening especially around the area for glassware, even on the ceiling! Obviously that would mean some expense.

Drinks were good but it felt like we were somewhat of an inconvenience by ordering drinks: The two staff members made one of our drinks and then stopped for a chat instead of making our second one, until we reminded them.

Sorry but I'm not overly keen on this Costa coffee dirty cups staff not to friendly a strange atmosphere and a odd tasting coffee think the milk used was slightly off won't be back here

DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR FROM STORE MANAGER FAISAL. I am 37 weeks pregnant and got denied access of the toilet at 17:55 as a paying customer, despite the store not being closed to customers yet. I entered at 17:25 to feed my 2 year old her dinner. I was the only customer in there and the manager was mopping the toilets and general dining area. At 17:55 as I was about to leave, I needed to use the loo and as I walked in that direction, the manager told me the toilets were closed as they have locked up. I pleaded and said I am really desperate and very pregnant and he rudely told me he didn’t want to argue with me and that it’s closed and he can’t let me use it. I was disgusted with his behaviour and very desperate for the toilet. He then made up that they were wet and it was a safety hazard but refused to show me that was the case. I will never be returning and strongly advise anyone who wants good customer service to completely avoid this Costa at all costs!

Reliably good coffee and cakes. Friendly staff. Tables were cleared and cleaned quickly when people left. Well spaced tables allowing wheelchair access everywhere in the store, and to the toilets.

Coffe is life and this one is awesome

Omg I’m absolutely fuming! Usually frequent Ewell village or the train station Costa, where their service and products is impeccable, I made the huge mistake of going into the Ashley centre Costa……..as I was shopping there. I saw the tall male barista take a pot and start it on the frothier but didn’t see him put milk in, I was a bit puzzled thinking, do they refill after the last person to perhaps make it speedier to serve the next? The place was empty and there where no other customers so I panicked a little and thought that it may have been from a previous persons drink but tried to put that thought out of my mind. Got my £4.50 large mocha and went back to the car where I took my first sip and I can’t tell you how absolutely rank it was, the milk was sour and I could taste it was definitely not fresh, if I hadn’t of had my autistic 5 yr old and my 3yr old kicking off for tea time I would have gone back, safe to say I’ll never bother with that Costa again!!!

This is a good Costa to go when in Epsom as it spacious and all the staff are friendly. I recommend this store always

My mum had a terrible experience, being called a racist absolute no reason in front of my young brother who was horrified by the incident. The barista refused to serve her possibly because she wants a cuppa just a bit closer to their closing time. She just wants to ask about opening time and also the menu but the server didn’t seem to want to server her and all that. I possibly wonder whether because she's asian! It seems like similar comments had been made with the same male staff, he should not be serving anywhere AT ALL. Absolutely horrific.

I love coming to Costa Coffee ☕ in Epsom in the Ashley Centre. Because the people are nice & helpful ..& u can just sit down have a cuppa ☕ & chill on your own or with friend's & family . Love it there

Just left Costa in Ashley centre, Epsom. Still shell-shocked by the attitude of the male staff calling himself Kevin. All we tried to do was use a Vodafone voucher which on payment wasn’t working and made out we were wasting his time and addressed the queue behind us saying, ‘sorry, it’s taken 10 minutes to scan a code which isn’t working’ when in fact it was not even one minute!. We felt belittled and embarrassed. And we’ll never step in this Costa again when he is on duty. A female member kindly helped us afterwards knowing that her colleague’s attitude was uncalled for.

On my visit to this Costa my husband and I found the staff to be very rude , the fact they wanted to charge £2.20 for an extra tea bag . I have spoken to customer service about this issue and they have always advised this should be free of change. The manager actually stopped on on the way to the toilet to tell that they were for customer use only, when I told him where I was sitting he just walked away , without apology . He was very , very rude and very abrupt! This is not how you treat customers.

On 13th November 2021 I had a very hard day at work and I decided to get a hot chocolate. Friendly and warm environment! Smiley and friendly guy served me the hot chocolate with mash mellow I ordered straight away. It tasted very nice! mazing customer service. I ll be back again soon !

Very dirty glasses. when I asked for a clean glass, she took out 6 glasses that the same dirty. Not good.

Dreadful service from a male assistant on the morning of Thursday 30th September. Rude, childish and unhygienic. He clearly shouldn’t be serving the general public. The takeaway coffee was luke warm so not good at that either! Won’t be returning if he is there.

It's a coffee shop but don't be fooled by the name. They also sell tea, milkshakes, juices and food items like pastries and sandwiches.

50p iced tea for the day, what's not to love?

I bought a large cafe latte. It was very tasty and I asked for cinnamon to be sprinkled on top. The barristers were smiling and friendly, which is important as you keep returning.......

Recently walked into this place ,I would never expected this great service again.. its my second review for them,I loved my Terry's orange hot chocolate and service was so crazy good,all three people who worked were so good..😘 Well worth the visit and I love their chritsmas cup 🤸‍♀️

Nice Costa, just wish it was better lit. Bit dim for my liking... i know they're probably trying to create a bit of ambiance, but as winter looms it just feels gloomy inside

Awful service paid for a caramel latte but no caramel in it. Not the first time! Avoid. Starbucks and others offer a better service.

It's a good coffee shop and recently refurbished. It always seems that they're one staff member down. The staff are friendly however, as it is in the centre of town its busy and if they had one more member of staff it would be a but quicker to get a coffee.

Food is a bit processed and samey but service is good and can't go wrong with the coffee. I like their newish breakfast wrap. Staff always seem busy but they get the job done quickly so can't complain.

Slow service but friendly and fairly average coffee. I asked for a flat white which came out luke warm so was drunk in about 2 minutes. Don't get me started on the state of their toilets.

This, like all Costa stores I have now woven up visiting, is unfriendly, unwelcoming and poorly run. This store is going down hill with just a very small few staff worth being employed. If it wasn't for them, am quite sure left to the manager if would have been closed down some time ago! How can the 2 Costa coffee houses in Epsom get it so very wrong when Pret and Starbucks provide effortlessly consistent wonderful customer service!

Friendly staff I really like this location

Too slow for a busy centre shop. Bit stingy with napkins. None to be found anywhere. Kids do get messy, so bit annoying to go and ask from the counter for a napkin. Coffee though is good. And the food is ok too.

Americano with a double espresso shot. Strong and long. And very good.
