We came here for a family dinner megan and lily gave us amazing service as well as great food

Could be lovely. However, mediocre food, average service, and the place is so cold. We moved tables, but it was still cold.

Wonderful local pub on Epsom Downs.

Giving one star is too much for our experience!!! Dreadful food, dreadful pub, and dreadful service!!! First time ever I’ve ever had to send all our meals back as they were inedible!!! Vegetarian dish was utterly disgusting, cod and chips - cod was off, given dried peas instead of mushy peas. Lemon sole was very oily and tasted horrid. - potatoes that came with it were inedible. We were offered free dessert and even this was dreadful!! Frozen chocolate bomb with Luke warm reheated sauce! Drinks too ages to come. This was my first and LAST visit to this pub!!! AVOID!!!!

It’s a lovely and clean place with a friendly atmosphere however this is why I give three stars only. 1. We waited 40min for our food and that was before it even got busy. Our meal orders for 3 adults and 1 child got in 5min before the kitchen even opened. 2. The shrinkflation has hit this place, as well. The Aubergine Lasagna special was a tiny portion for the price asked. The sauce was a bit on the ‘too sour’ side and the chicken in the Panzanela salad was grilled to the point of a burn, so it tasted quite bitter. 3. It was extremely cold inside, some people kept their winter coats on! It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful pub with a great location just across the Epsom racecourse.

We three ladies had a late lunch sitting outside. Very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Delicious food, and the best fries and beef dripping sauce. We will be back again in the very near future!

Fantastic pub right opposite the racecourse on Epsom Downs! We had a large group for an early Christmas dinner yesterday and the food and service was excellent! Special thanks to David who worked his socks off looking after 12 of us for 7 hours! Would highly recommend

What a great pub/restaurant!! Honestly one of The best Xmas roasts I have ever had in a pub. Well worth every penny!! Fantastic service, dedicated waiter that introduced himself by name and was always very helpful. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you to all the team!

I booked the private dining room along with 11 friends and we were extremely well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a really wonderful time. I had provided our Xmas menu choices and they arrived, beautifully presented and in good time. The starters were perfect, the mains tasty, my only gripe were the roast potatoes which were small and over cooked. All the varied desserts were delicious. A really lovely time in a newly decorated venue with terrific staff, thank you very much!

Took my aged mum for lunch on a cold miserable Monday and the warm welcome we received by the roaring fire cheered us up no end. The staff were exceptional - especially our lovely waitress Lorraine ( hope I got that right!) made a mundane lunch really special for Mum. Decor is fab - menu delightful Highly recommended

Your restaurant staff did not work together, the young waitress literally dropped the menues on the table without t even talking to us, it took 30 minutes to take order another 35 minutes for food, two of our drinks orders were Coke no ice, when they eventually arrived is was a glass of ice. Your dining area is cold we asked if they could turn the heating up and your waitress said she didn’t think it was working, at this point the e female couple on the table next to us said they were cold also, then a male member of staff came to the open fire place and tried to drag the fire closer to the opening, overall quite poor, food looked ok but was rather tasteless not as good as your social media posts would have to think, as a online creator you need a few tweaks to improve as the local competition is of a more polished standard.

Forgot to put reserved tag on table, when hostess walked to what she had detailed it was already occupied with now reserved. Told us to sit where we wanted. Table we found was unstable, asked bar staff , twice to help out, was given a bunch of napkins to stable it out.

New refurb looks brilliant. Host Megan was great can’t wait to come back.

What a gem, the foods amazing I can highly recommend the Lamb it was cooked to perfection. Staff are lovely and friendly. The only disappointing part was they wouldn’t give me the Gravy recipe 😂 seriously what a gem and atmosphere is cosy and inviting.

Went on Friday 1st November as part of their re-opening week. The food was absolutely top notch, as was the service. The refurbishment has given the place a fresh feel while retaliating its' quirky features and calm atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

went to the derby arms on Thursday, which had been closed and refurbish. on entrering the derby arms it was a real wow as its absolutely stunning when you enter.My family and i were seated on a beautiful table we had a lovely 3 course meal the staff were very attentive. There is lots to choose from on the menu. I would definitely recommend the Derby Arms.

I visited today following a beautiful remodel. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with happy, enthusiastic staff. Fantastic service and the menu has delicious gluten free options. I would definitely recommend a visit!

Absolutely awful food. Ordered a sandwich with Humus & grilled vegetables on focaccia bread. I would have been terribly embarrassed to serve this supposedly food to my customers, The bread was thick & hard, hardly any humus & vegetable at all in it. I am killing myself still today for not complaining on the day. And I paid £12.50 for that. Do not recommend and will never go back. Rating is a big 0.

Visited here after a fantastic day out at the races across the road from Epsom Racecourse - The service was magnificent,really friendly & very helpful - I had the Roast Beef Dinner & it tasted delicious,a coke & glass of wine too - I highly recommend you pay a visit especially when you visit Epsom Racecourse 🥂🥂🥂🥂

Great food and a lovely atmosphere. Nice place to take kids for an early dinner. Slightly hit and miss service. Friendly and helpful but didn't write the order for a table if six down and then had to keep coming back to check the order. Ended up bringing the wrong dessert and took 15 mins to bring a bottle of wine.

Went to the derby arms for lunch today and was so pleased with the meal etc.!I had sea bass it was the best I’ve had in a long time so tasty. My friend had lamb shanks which he enjoyed. Deserts to die for 😋 the service led by Carla was great

Great pub with a very nice atmosphere and a really nice menu. We were a large group, about 30 and the food (had the chilli squid and slow cooked pork belly, did not try the deserts) and drinks were fantastic (I had a couple of Aperol spritzers). Cannot fault it. Our 2nd time there. Apologies to the management, my previous review was for the nearby Epsom Downs Racecourse!

Came through to visit and found this lovely restaurant to done in. Grace was incredibly helpful finding the perfect with and Harry had the best ideas for local outings and food recommendations. Really held to the best standards and more than happy to visit on travels through again!

Enjoyed the food, well cooked and presented. The staff were attentive and friendly. One star short is that the glass could be polished when they came out of the dishwasher as the marks all over the glass, doesn't look clean.

Lovely food, we had a great table set in a windowed recess, excellent waiter who was so friendly. We were a table of 9 and he remembered all our orders perfectly without writing anything down. We come to the Derby Arms for our reunions and everyone enjoys it.

We went in for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The service was poor, one very extremely grumpy young girl. My friend and her daughter had finished there meal before myself and my two children had even received ours. Was ordered at the same time so I don't know why ours was so delayed especially as it wasnt very busy in there. When it did finally arrive my 5 year old daughters pizza was dry and very little topping and my steak sandwich was burnt. Parts of the bread were black and all very hard to chew. Really disappointing!

Amazing welcome on entry. Staff were polite and so friendly and helpful. Great food and atmosphere. Worth every penny. We were served by a lovely lady Carla who was fab. Will certainly be returning!

We always enjoy going for a meal here especially when we get discounts.We have always found the staff and service to be excellent and if There is something you want changed in menu they are happy to oblige and if something is not quite to your taste all you have to do is ask and they will rectify it .

Great location; the food was delicious, and the service was quick. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Convenient on-site parking is available, and the website offers booking functionality and displays the menu instead of a file to download. Overall, highly recommended.

£11 for a pint of beer and a pint of Coke. Won't be going back.

Love this pub, service is fantastic. Ross who was on duty really made me feel welcome. The lunch menu and the main menu has so much choice and the food is top notch. Well deffo come here again I would highly recommend this gastro pub and the atmosphere and friend are the big standout features. Loved the service, food and experience at the Derby Arms. Looking for somewhere to eat dinner and decided to stop at the next place we drove by and glad we did. I ate the pork belly roast and it was delicious. The signature drinks from the bar were also amazing. The staff check on us regularly without overwhelming us.
