£6.30 for two regular black coffees. I asked for one to be replaced as I could see the bottom of the cup through it. It was just coloured water. Sorry guys, not overly impressed.

As a Valentine treat, we stayed in the hotel and booked the restaurant, but the food was very disappointing. (The rib eye wasn't very nice, and blue cheese sauce didn't taste of blue cheese even after sending it back) staff were nice, but when I mentioned it I was expecting at least a apology but none given don't seem to care,
Hi all, I went for a drink in Eastbourne Witherspoons with 6 friends tonight before a curry night we had planed. We had 4 rounds and that was ok but the service was a little slow then. After curry all 6 of us went back to Wetherspoons hoping to have a good few more rounds, but the bar staff by that time was a shambles. We waited 20 min or more and after when the barman just served the pretty girls who just turned up after us, we all left to drink else where. Shame as would of spent quiet a bit of money. I think your head office needs to sort things out they are loosing money and custom.
Well to be fair I don't blame the young barmen serving the pretty girls 1st, but the waiting time does need serious addressing as I will think twice now going back their with my friends. Many thanks for listening. Vince. 👍
Absolutely worst jacket potato I have ever had, dry grey with a sneeze of cheese on it. Got a side salad and a flat diet coke. Revolting save your money!
Food portions were small. About six diddy pieces of chicken and a sprinkling of salad is an apparently a large kebab.
Two average tasting ‘not so large’ shish and chips, £30. Bargain…! 😂
As soon as we walked in the pub was empty and the manager clearly didn’t want us there, it was an issue even to find us a table (4 adults 3 children) we were the only ones in the pub and food was delayed coming out (supposed to be all together but the kids meals came last! Not ideal with hungry children) when it did come the children’s pasta looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamps for half an hour. After noticing once paid they had not given us the ‘kids eat for £1 Mondays’ we queried with staff. Staff member said they would speak to manager and we could see them querying behind the bar, the ‘manager’ didn’t even come over to us just shouted across the bar to us whilst we were sitting there. For one a manager who couldn’t even be bothered to come from behind the bar to have a conversation says a lot! We got up and spoke to the manager at the bar, as he was too lazy to come to us! He stated the menus on the table are ‘generic’ so they are not correct, we advised him that’s false advertising don’t advertise for something if it’s untrue. The ‘manager’ kept arguing with us and saying read the menu online. He was really hard work to even have a conversation with. After back and forth he eventually refunded us the money and his words were ‘go away and don’t come back’ which we ABSOLUTELY would not. You do not speak to customers like that. He was a RUDE man and I’m surprised if the pub will have any customers left. NEVER AGAIN. Avoid like the plague!!!
Came here with family after a few recommendations. It's a nice looking place with a good outdoor space and a little play area for kids. I remember coming here a bit when I lived in the area and it has smartened up a fair bit.
Service was ok if a little bit slow but the main problem was that the food was not very good at all.
Pizza bases are not made fresh, despite their claims (think 4-pack frozen mini pizza bases from the 80s/90s). The macaroni cheese was an unbaked gloopy congealed pasta mess which tasted literally of nothing. The buns for the burgers were the cheapest type of rubbish - that kind of white fluff that you buy in packs, lasts for 4 months but disintegrates when exposed to any type of temperature change. The Sirloin steaks, while cooked quite well, were just a bit unloved, sad and grey.
I have observed the worrying trend of pubs like this pushing the prices of main courses higher and higher towards £20 and beyond while seemingly not paying any attention to the quality of food. I was left thinking of all the really good places we could have spent that kind of money without having to experience this kind of disappointment.
