Pizza Express in Eastbourne

Food was cold and took over an hour to come said it would only take 30 mins

Sadly all the hot food was pretty much stone cold and the pasta was hard. Terrible Birthday meal from a favourite restaurant 🙁

Wish it was cheaper! But oh so good! Can’t Rav about the gluten free enough

pizza was half crispy on one side and soggy on other(undercooked) same with the bbq sauce all over ine side and not the other.. very disappointing as the last few orders have been fine

We frequently visit this Pizza Express - the staff are always friendly and great service. Food is always spot on and it's a nice atmosphere. Fantastic Vegan options as always which is greatly appreciated!!

Perfectly run restaurant! I have dined at this Pizza Express a number of times with my partner and it is always an amazing experience. The food is great and always comes quickly, we usually get the BBQ Chicken pizza & American which are both unreal. Both Dan & Brandon are so welcoming and friendly, as are all the staff.

Fantastic pizza, full of flavour

We visited yesterday as a large party of 13 which included several children. The staff were incredible despite it being a busy Sunday lunch time. The children were kept entertained with the colouring and hats, and my son’s birthday was made extra special when they were able to bring our cake out to us. Thank you for the great service!

Service here is absolutely awful, they brought other peoples food over to a table and I ordered a side waited so long I ate all my food and then cancelled it because they’re was no point waiting any longer. Cleanliness is a bit of a issue aswell, thanks was filthy when we arrived

Had a great new year's eve pizza. Service was spot on. Caring and attentive whilst not intrusive. Pizzas were lovely (we got one each and then shared) very tasty with a nice thin base... Somewhere to visit again.

sadly wrong main item delivered. ordered a lasagne but ended up with some sort of penne pasta and definitely not was ordered. rest of order ok which was a kids piccolo pizza. not normal standard but second time recently pizza express order has been incorrect. attention to detail goes a long way especially when a takeaway is a real treat for some. disappointed.

We had another lovely experience there me and my partner the staff so friendly and helpful. I ordered one pizza for starter which was BBQ chicken and for it i am giving four stars review because hardly any chicken or cheese however on the main course i had Italian meat balls pizza and it was delicious so thank you for a lovely afternoon.

The pizzas were cold and dripping in oil. 2 of them went straight in the bin. I put a note on the order for delivery to the side door. It was completely ignored. Totally terrible.

We've eaten in many Pizza Express before but it was our first time in Eastbourne. Lovely atmosphere & adult pizza's. However, we were let down by the children's pizzas being delivered to the wrong table, to be sat there a while, for then the pizza's to be redelivered to ours..with not a word said. When questioned, it was expressed that "they hadn't been touched & we could have fresh ones if we wanted?" Astonished, we asked for fresh ones. Mistakes happen but please don't try to serve food that has already been set down in front of other costumers. The situation felt awkward enough as it was. We were unsure who the manager was, as we had 4 employees come to our table during our time at Pizza Express. However, we had an apology from one employee & the children's pizzas were replaced, so the issue was resolved. As a side note, lots of food handling was noted e.g. the addition of fresh herbs, touching of food before it's served etc but some employees nail lengths are in need of a review. Understandably, it's a busy time of the year & the mistake was correctly swiftly. Ultimately, it wouldn't put us off visiting PE again, as our children like it but we'll be more vigilant with the service.

Whilst regular visitors to Pizza Express in and around London, this was our first visit to the restaurant in Eastbourne, as we were staying in a local hotel for a few days. The high level of food and service was consistent with other Pizza Express restaurants. The team here were especially nice. Thank you to all concerned.

time kept changing for delivery although it stated driver at location! Food arrived freezing cold so had to order another meal else where to only be refunded not even a third of the cost from just eat!

Always great, one of my favourite restaurant's.

If I could give this 0 stars then I would! We watched the app as our order times kept being pushed back until it was an hour later than originally scheduled to arrive. By the time we received the food it was it only cold, but one item was completely missing and another item was incorrect and not what we had ordered. When we requested a refund for the incorrect item, we only received £1.50 despite sending the receipt, which showed its cost at £5.47. Awful!!!

Pizza Express Eastbourne is really great. We've always had great service from the team no matter the occasion. Brandon the manager always greets us with such a friendly welcome and always goes above and beyond and is a credit to Pizza Express.

This is the second time I order from Pizza express through just eat, and this is even worse than the first time. The delivery came 20 minutes late, even though the system is showing that it came on time, and all the food is very cold

****Second review****, same again, paid for extra mozzarella for £2.5 and there's non on there (see images)! Laughable, get rid of your chef as he's allergic to mozzarella ****ORDER FROM RUSTICO EASTBOURNE, loads of cheese***** No cheese at all, dry as a bone. Avoided

It’s was a great experience, the service was quick even though they were fully booked, the manager Brandon was really friendly and patient too. I would highly recommend.

Lots of staff but no one seemed to be allocated our table. Took over half hour just to get a drink an hour to take the order and then more food was not available than available!! No apology throughout from the waitress and no warning that so many popular food items were missing. Surely you say this as you hand out a menu at the beginning. When stacking glasses and chatting becomes priority over serving a table of 6 people who've come to celebrate two children's birthdays, they can't expect us to return to that branch!

The service on Saturday (26th October) was slow, the pizzas my husband and I had were lovely, however, my children’s pasta dishes were tiny! We go to pizza express quite a bit and have never had such small portions. We asked for an extra portion which arrived without sauce and was over cooked, it was hard and some parts burnt. The staff were ok when we told them about the portion size, such a shame, my kids love it at PE usually

not allowed in on a Monday because we had a large party (6 adults) despite plenty of room being available told too "go to wetherspoons across the road" instead of wait times expected very disappointing considering I have eaten here many time in the past since the refurbishment the newer staff aren't as good it seems

Lovely lunch today. Warmly greeted, and when seated we were served by a lovely lady called Leigh. Pizzas were perfectly cooked and delicious! Other staff were all friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. Would definitely recommend

I have just had the most disgusting take away pizza. If I had been eating in the restaurant I would have thrown it back straight away. It was a basic margarita, it was burnt, very thin & hard, not much topping & tasteless! This is the fifth rubbish pizza I have had since the restaurant was refurbished in July 24. The new chefs don’t know how to cook a decent pizza! Dominoes is much nicer than the current pizza Express offerings. I’m so angry, I have been using this restaurant for over 10 yrs and the pizzas are absolute rubbish now.

Had the most amazing experience for my daughter’s 6th birthday here yesterday evening. I made a slight change to the number of guests attending at very short notice and Dan was very helpful. The food was absolutely amazing and Chloe couldn’t have been more attentive to all of us. She really went above and beyond and even got everyone to sing my daughter happy birthday at the end of our meal. If I could rate this place 10/5 I would without a doubt! The food was incredible and came out so quickly too! Thank you Chloe & Dan for making this one of the smoothest evenings out! (Especially with children!)

Food today cooked by Roberto was fantastic. Our best meal there by far. Staff very friendly & very efficient. A lovely way to spend our Sunday afternoon.

As always pizza was great but Dan the host gave us excellent service, super friendly, really funny and kind - we’ll definitely be coming back, even if it’s just to see Dan!

I am living in hastings and i went to the hastings pizza express around 8:30 pm and the one of staff member told me they don’t have enough staff so they didn’t allow me to seat and after that i went to the Eastbourne pizza express cornfield road and i reached there around 9:30 and they did warm welcome as a customer and gives us very nice service with testy food and good customer service. I appreciate staff in Eastbourne pizza express.

It's always an incredible experience! The management and staff are exceptionally friendly and truly the best which keeps us as a family coming back. We recently reserved the entire upstairs area for about 50 people to celebrate the end of our work season. The service was outstanding, with everyone being served simultaneously, creating unforgettable memories. Without a doubt, this is the best restaurant in East Sussex!

Standard pizza express but no garlic butter with dough balls (despite receipt saying there should’ve been)

Just eat soo doesn’t work - wrong order

Mediocre food served by staff who seemed stressed and unmotivated. A lick of paint hasn't done the job to improve this place I'm afraid to say. I used to be a waitress and so I know it's not always easy, but tonight, it really felt like it was all too much effort for them. No customer focus. Like a food factory. Sorry, but we won't be returning.

The staff were super friendly and were attentive from the onset. We made our choices but when the pizzas arrived, I realised I had not noticed it had meat on it, j was too distracted by the mention of double cheese! I'm pescatarian, so only eat fish. I was terribly embarrassed but they were understanding and replaced it with a vegetarian pizza. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza, the bases are amazing, as is your customer services. Thank you for your kindness today.

Staff welcomed us and we’re happy that my 4 year old had a buggy and baby. They even pretended to interact with the toy baby. I recently took my grandchildren out for a treat, and they all wanted pizza. The staff were friendly and very patient, as the children kept changing their minds about what they wanted! Very clean, very uplifting, with a cheerful atmosphere and decor. It is somewhere to return to with my friends in the future, and I was surprised at the variety of the menu. In response to an earlier review - what an assumption that all or most delivery drivers are persons of colour! Three members of my family deliver food and there is absolutely no lack of diversity that I am aware of.

Amazing food amazing staff. Really great service and quality. Made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. We came during a busy time with some difficult customers trying to take make a fuss for nothing, but staff manged them very well and made sure no-one else was impacted but this rudeness. 10/10 from management and waiting staff will be returning with our son next week.

I ordered pizza for collection and my husband went to collect it. The possible manager in a blue shirt tonight was immediately assuming that my dark skinned husband was a delivery driver that went to pick up the food. After numerous attempts to try to explain to him that he was there to COLLECT HIS FOOD, he still refused to believe it even after confirming the order. Absolutely disgusting and rude behaviour and will never order again. Let alone he started arguing about the chilli oil that we were not allowed to add to our pizza upon collection??! Crazy.

Ordering anything from anywhere through just eat just seems to go wrong. Missing items constantly and Pizza Express is no different.

Great service and food. But Pizza Express has become so expensive now, £50 for a shared starter, two pizzas and two soft drinks. Let's face it, it's only pizza at the end of the day...

Had lunch here with my fiancé. We were welcomed from the minute we came in. Staff were more than helpful with recommendations to meet our preferences. Food came very quickly and was top quality, really delicious. The atmosphere was friendly and classy and all very reasonably priced. The whole team had a great passion for their work and the customer service was top from all. We will definitely return, very clean and great location too.

Just returned from Venice and can honestly say that the pizza i had was better than the pizza i had over there, will definitely be returning!!, the young lady from Sardinia who served us was lovely too!

Food was excellent but member of staff wasn’t attending

Big thank you to the staff at Pizza Express Eastbourne for my daughters 8th birthday party today. She had a great time with her friends and the chef was fantastic with the children. They also kindly catered for two children with very specific dietary requirements which was very much appreciated. They were even able to make a base with everyone else so they didn’t feel left out and then swapped this out for a gluten free base with their own selection of toppings. The pizzas they all made were huge and they had a really generous amount of toppings to use. As well as that they had dough balls whilst waiting, ice cream at the end and they were all given boxes so they could take the rest of their pizza home. Thank you for great service and a great birthday experience.

Most of the time the food takes longer than it should. Pretty over priced for what it is but makes the best vegan pizzas without that sticky vegan cheese. Really nice stuff

I visited Pizza Express with my husband and young son on a Saturday lunch time. The service from our waitress was great and the food was good, we had the dough balls and a couple of pizzas and I can’t fault these. Our visit was tarnished however when I went upstairs to the loos. The upstairs dining area was in a state. They clearly had a large table dine the night before and it was covered in dirty glasses, dessert dishes and cutlery. There was also some parcel packaging left on the table and the floor had food debris. Had I of seen this before our starters had arrived we would have left. This was only around 12:15 so highly unlikely to be from the lunchtime service. The restaurant downstairs was busy although I noticed the manageress didn’t really do anything, just stood in the middle looking around a lot. It wouldn’t have taken her long to clean up the mess. The restaurant itself is also looking long overdue for some decorating. The walls were marked and the floor looked faded and grubby. I was seated by the door and became aware that 2 tables that had booked were asked to wait as their tables hadn’t actually been reserved. I don’t think we would return to the Eastbourne branch of Pizza Express.

Food arrived quickly. My pizza was not very warm and if it had been anything else I would have sent it back. Felt very rushed even though there were quite a few empty tables.

We had our daughter’s 5th birthday party upstairs at pizza express. It was amazing from beginning to the end. The manager and staff were so helpful. They went above and beyond to make it a lovely party. The chef taught the children how to make pizza. She was great with the chilldren . She was funny and got them all into action. It was very sweet! . The servinng staff were so lovely, very attentive and great with the children too. We had the best time. We also ordered pizzas for the parents and it was all so tasty. We were told it’s the best pizza in Eastbourne . Thank you very much for a wonderful experience and making our daughter day so special.

Nice place to eat. Always nice food been cook from a chef called Margherita and been served from the other chef sound from is accent from Italy because waiter was busy. So our pizzas come on the table quick and hot.So our experience on Saturday in pizza express was perfect.

Hello there my name is Morrison and I live in Eastbourne just a few personal experiences and I was delighted by the services within pizza express Eastbourne their delivery service was impressive there was a reliable lady goes by the name of margarita if I am getting the name right she was superb and the all team so fabulous the chef was exceptional super friendly to there who perhaps read my review I encourage you to visit pizza express Eastbourne and I am sure since the service are so that great I wonder what other branches are doing probably the same or even greater please give Eastbourne pizza express a go I am sure you will never disappointed
