Papa Johns in Eastbourne

Ordered collection, £40. The food quality is dreadful. Pizza sauce and cheese is spread so thinly it doesn't even cover the whole base, The dough on the bottom is paper thin. My stuffed crust is folded over so far that 1/3 of my pizza is just the crust. Toppings are sparse. No dips provided (even though we specifically picked the ones we wanted). The "buffalo" wings are just the plain roasted wings with a soggy vinegar watery liquid poured over them (they stink). When we entered the store there was nobody around, after a few moments called hello and then somebody popped up We went here because they had 60% off pizzas and 2 sides for £10. Should have just stuck to Domino's. So disappointed in this store.

Best pizza place in town amazing service, food and delivery either over the phone or in store they accommodate to any needs, wants or requirements and the food is just 10/10 such good value. Even when you’ve just moved into a new place that has no post code or address for any navigation system they will still find you and deliver

Ordered a pizza on their website at 10:15pm. Everything went through my money was taken. Waited until 11:15 tried calling 20 times no answer. Then find out they shut at 11pm so they took my money and then just closed up and went home. Horrendous place. I will never order from Papa Johns again.

They delivered one pizza short, then said they would send another one out that didn't arrive, so I said I would cone get it myself (I'm disabled so that was not fun) then I get a phone call from the driver calling me a liar saving he knock and no one was there. By this point I'm fuming. Not happy

I ordered online effortlessly with Amazon pay and got my pizza amazingly fast. Excellent vegan pizza and tasty sides. Was delivered hot and fast!!! Thank you for your brilliant service! Driver was really nice. Very happy and grateful for the wonderful vegan options and the ease of navigation on the website. Cauliflower wings were delicious and the sauces were great! This Papa John's has seriously upped its game! We've ordered from there twice this week lol we thought the first time might have been fluke but tonight was even better! I would actually say that my pizza probably has to much on it, but I'm definitely not complaining! We're vegan in this house and a decent takeaway is hard to come by, looks like papa's is our new favourite!

order took about an hour and a half and said it had been delivered on the tracking for a good half hour of that. Judging by other reviews its safe to say their tracking is never accurate. Food was below average, both Dominos and Pizza Hut in town are far superior

yes i thought i try again on my way out of eastbounre on sunday went in to order a full works well what greated me was one person only that looked like he has not washed for a few years and very dirty clothing i looked at the kitchen he was the only one there so was he cooking peoples food not mine no chance its such a shame st leonards looks ok this place needs a heath checkup

My first time ordering a Papa Johns, the delivery driver couldn’t find my address. Once it arrived it was luke warm & quite frankly a tasteless and disappointing experience! Poor quality, will not order again! The roundness of the pizza was the perfect shape to lob into the bin - Get in the bin! Do not recommend

went in and ordered the works pizza but got home and yes maybe I should of checked it before I left but hey ho , pizza was next to nothing on it was given to me by a guy eating a chocolate bar in leather bike gear and no he was not a delivery driver not very clean service , best to check your pizza before you leave I will

What can I say? It's Papa John's, among the best pizzas available, always the freshest ingredients and polite staff. This Eastbourne location has been around for years and has a loyal following.

3rd times we have ordered from here and had to chase the order everytime. Food always arrives cold.

I ordered 2 for 1 pizzas tonight (Tuesday offer) and one of the pizzas that arrived wasn’t what we ordered. I called them to report an issue and they were already aware of it. They immediately sent the driver back to re-deliver in no time at all and even let us keep the other pizza. Thank you Papa John’s 😉

It was delivered cold, we had to heat it up. Was disappointed with the quality. We had to heat it up and it was below ordinary, I wish I had ordered from where I usually do Domino’s! What a waste of money, chicken wings smothered with sauce! Tots no comment! Never again! What a waste of money!

Got exactly what we ordered and it was delicious and fresh. So much better than dominoes.

Food was not delivered. I never had any calls from the driver, I eventually called the restaurant and the driver had returned without finding my address. They sent a second driver out who also failed to find an easy address, on a main road. Cancelled my order, Dominoes find my address easily... They were also happy to give me an hour old pizza instead of a fresh one.

We placed an order last night, the food took two hours to get to us and when it arrived it was cold and the order was not complete. To be fair my daughter called in as suggested by the delivery person and they prepared and delivered the missing item some 40 minutes later. By which time the cold pizza already received had been nibbled but not eaten p, ended up throwing most of it away. Won’t be going back for some time, there is obviously a problem with delivery.

I dont normaly leave reviews, but tonight i was was so touched (not Inappropriately) in my heart ! Words cant even describe how considirate and majestic our delivery driver (aaron) was. What a polite younge hero. I cant belive such a man could deliver pizza but boy was i worng. This man deservs a raise and i will be infurated if hes legend is every undermind. Ordered an XXL thin base meat feast it took over an hour to arrive and when it did it was barely luke warm with a black base....very disappointing. Yes it was a half price deal but that shouldn't matter wether on a deal or full price. This is the second time that this has happened so I won't be ordering again and I don't recommend anybody else eating there either.

Ordered at 6.30. Phoned at 8 pm. Apparently just on its way. Phoned at 8.30 to cancel as not delivered. Had same experience earlier in the year. Decided to give them another chance. Won’t give them another.....UPDATE 16th Jan finally got a refund after contacting Head office. Got a great Pizza last night. Went to Sainsbury’s for a thin crust Margarita which was lovely ...much less hassle and a lot cheaper.

Tasty Pizza arrived 35 minutes after ordering, Pepperoni and a hawaian! No issues at all! Slightly odd that there is cheese on top of the pepperoni, almost thought they forgot to put any on! But it works in keeping them on the pizza I guess. Will order again

First and last time of ordering from here food was 32 minutes late after placing an 4 hours in advance Boxes were open inside delivery bag and the driver used his unprotected hand to repackage the food in front of me DURING a pandemic! Just ordered the pizza and I can say honestly it was revolting! The pizza was wrong there was sausage meat on my Greek pizza, it looked like the lid of the oregano fell off as it was covered, the marmite scrolls had no cheese and consisted of just dough. The only thing edible was the was the brownies.... I take that back! Its rock hard! I can’t believe that that was served like this. Ps, I need the dentist

Ordered bacon cheese sticks, doubled it up for part of the deal. I opened the box and there’s less than 5 bacon pieces on it. My marmite bites are just dough, no marmite or cheese on them.

I ordered from them due to the selection of vegan options, I was not disappointed, food was lovely, average wait time and delivery driver was friendly too, will continue to order from them in future.

Very nice pizza, better now its under new management. Very happy will be buying again! And soon!!

Two hours after placing my order and my food has still not arrived, attempted to contact restaurant via phone and the just eat app, to no avail. No contact at all from the store to explain if/why they were late, which I could have understood on a Saturday evening. They even marked my order as delivered an hour ago.

So my order was placed over 2.5hrs ago. Nothing delivered, they refuse to answer the phone and apparently the order is complete! Absolute shambles...being late is one thing, stealing from me is unacceptable. Do yourself a favour and order from anywhere else, shocking way to run a business. Had to give ratings for food quality and how late it was even though it hasn’t arrived to leave this review

The food was a bit late, but it is understandable with everything going on. The only real problem was that the Mexican pizza could have had more mince on it.

We had to wait nearly 2 hours to get our Pizza and when it turned up it was the baldest tasting pizza we have ever had. Biggest waste at money.

After being 40 minutes late I called Papa Johns to ask where my food was, only to be told that they couldn’t find my food, after getting help they found my order and told me the drive was on his way, no apology for how late it was though! The food finally arrived about 10 mins later and was cold, so disappointed in the overall experience of ordering from papa johns and has really put me off doing so again!

Order arrived late, no contact from store & when nearly an hour late & I called for an update no apologies given. Food arrived cold & missing part of the order. Driver apologetic & advised would return with item, again no contact from the store & noone ever came back! Given 2 stars which is generous. Really poor experience

Firstly,the delay guy was very apologetic for the lateness. I couldn't blame him as I don't know 100% why it was late. I had three pizzas,which tasted ok,but wished they were piping hot. The Hawaiian didn't have much taste,and I couldn't taste the bacon on my BBQ Chicken and bacon. All of my pizzas were edible,and let's face it,we'd all eat pizza,stone cold!!. But this wasn't the best I've had from this store. Dominoes did better on my last delivery. Now you don't want me turning to the dark side do you😕

I ordered a pizza plus sides online 24/4/20,confirmed at 19.50.By 22.00 still no delivery,phones constantly engaged,by all accounts web site crashed.Have spoken to the manager twice since who asked if I could ring back later,trouble is nobody picks up the phone,frustrated or what!

Ordered 2 pizzas a week ago. Order went through but after an hour and a half called them but line was busy. Line was busy for the next 2 hours until at 11:30pm got a call from them asking if we still wanted the pizza? Said no as we had work early the next day and couldn't stay up. We got a refund and a free pizza for next time. So we ordered the free pizza tonight and got a warning of a late delivery time because of only having 1 delivery driver. Okay fine, that's understandable but 2.5 hours later still waiting and the line is busy so no way to contact the shop. The pizza isn't worth the wait and its suspicious that the phone line is always busy? Won't be ordering from them again after this!

Truly awful , over half an hour late . Luke warm soggy pizza. Chocolate brownie tasted bland , no chocolate flavour. Years ago this was the best pizza but tbh will never ever order from here again. I had a £10 discount code but even with that it was not worth the money. If you want good pizza try pizza stop or just buy one in Sainsbury’s! Cheaper and tastier.

Ordered 1 bbq pizza and 2 sides. Over an hour wait. Pizza was tomato based or there was so little sauce on there i couldnt tell, 1 side was cold, literally had to heat it in the oven and 1 side didnt turn up. Phoned up to ask for my missing food and he offered that he would put credit onto the next order. I rarely get papa johns. So this wasnt an option. They said they would swing it round if they were near... 3 items and not one of them was right. Sorry mr papa jonny boys but that was a fail.

Ordered at 9pm through Just Eat and was quoted 10:05pm delivery. Waited until 10:45 to call and try find out what was going on. No answer from the restaurant for half an hour, just constant ringing. Asked Just Eat for help and they also tried calling with no answer. By 11pm I was considering cancelling the order and going elsewhere but this wasn't possible if no one was answering the phone! Phone was answered just gone 11:15pm. Very apologetic which we really appreciated however quoted 10-15 minutes (as we live a couple of streets down) and it was another half an hour almost until it turned up. When we asked the staff member on the phone for his name so we could pass on that he was the only positive part of our experience he refused to tell us perhaps thinking we would be negative about him too. Food wasn't great to top it all off. I understand that they probably were very busy but then wait times need to be changed on apps so that they don't have this issue. Regardless, 2hrs 45minutes is FAR too long to wait for a delivery.

Me disculpé mucho, lo que realmente apreciamos, sin embargo, citamos entre 10 y 15 minutos (ya que vivimos un par de calles más abajo) y fue otra media hora casi hasta que apareció. Ordered 2 pizzas expected around 20:30. It is now 22:07 and no pizzas are here - in fact the Just Eat website states its been delivered. Another house is eating the 2 pizzas for free. I have attempted to call the store for the past 2 hours and it is always busy and unable to get through. Terrible service.

Order was wrong - wrong dips and messed up pizza size received an apology from delivery driver which was at least a small recompense and instead of one XXL was given a large and a small. Wouldn't have been bad if there wasnt a black hair found in the pizza after having nearly finished it (second to last slice). Wouldn't recommend at all.

Después de la espantosa experiencia que tuve con Papa Johns Eastbourne esta noche, no me sorprende que llegue a Trustpilot y descubra que ya tienen una calificación tan abismal. La comida llegó más de una hora tarde, cuando llegó aquí estaba prácticamente fría, no pude encontrarme y no llamé para preguntar dónde estaba, cuántos llegaron finalmente, era el tipo de pizza equivocado, y el la cantidad de coberturas era prácticamente inexistente. Apenas se podía saborear la salsa de tomate, y si hubiera más de 5 hojuelas de queso en toda la pizza me sorprendería. La comida estaba fría hasta tarde y no como se describe, pero aún así el gerente, que ni siquiera tuvo la cortesía de hablar conmigo directamente, hizo que su asistente me dijera que no me darían un reembolso. La ley establece que tengo derecho a 1, pero sin embargo se negaron. Podríamos estar en medio de una pandemia de coronavirus, pero esto no les da a los lugares el derecho a servir comida repugnante, que es fría tarde y de mala calidad y se sale con la suya. Mi consejo más sincero para cualquiera que esté pensando en pedir comida de este basurero es evitarlo como una plaga. Si pides pizza aquí, no te sentirás más que decepcionado.

On time/early when delivering, hot fresh delicious food and by far the best pizza in Eastbourne, great deals and desserts I highly recommend. Shocked by the 1 star reviews because they are far from what I receive so try it for yourself. 🍕 🍕 🍕

This place is the most rude and worst papa John's I have ever used. Not only did my delivery take one and a half hours and was cold but when I called them to complain I was told that I was lieing by the ignorant manager. Trust me live this hole well alone

twice i have been here in the past, and twice i ended up with gastroenteritis. it is a shame i cant give it a minus star rating.

Ordered online and after 1.5hrs called for an update. The guy on the phone took a while to find the order but eventually found it and said it was out for delivery - it was over another half hour before it arrived.If the pizza had been nice it wouldn't have been so bad but it was cold & dry. To make things worse the pots of garlic sauce in the boxes had split and gone all over half the pizzas in both of the boxes.I called to complain but after a few minutes of the phone ringing i gave up. Lesson learned. I wont be using them again
