Subway in Eastbourne

I wanted to buy lunch here before hiking to the Seven Sisters Cliff. I read some reviews that some people had a bad experience. Fortunately, this shopping experience was pleasant, and the chicken-flavored submarine was also delicious.

The food was okay, but why have two separate options for toasted and non-toasted sandwiches. Second time I’ve accidentally clicked non-toasted and not realised until the food comes. Just have it as a customisation button instead of listed as a completely separate kind of sandwich

Staff member made all the black people pay before receiving their subs, but when the white lady came in, he waited till after to take payment… absolute outrageous!

ordered for 2 people and you didnt put in 1 of the 2 criss cut fried 1 hash browns 9 and 1 cheese and garlic bread

yuck! cold and missing sauces, jalapeños. awful!

Wrong sub fillings and had a sauce in that I can’t eat due to allergies! Same thing happened to my sister!!

Worst experience , staff is very rude . When we asked for anything they was just making face might be they dont want to serve. Its very very insensitive customer service

I bought a tuna sandwich and a Coke Zero from the tap today at Eastbourne station - the sandwich was delicious and the Coke was cold and fizzy. There was a queue but the staff were very efficient and we were served quickly. Would recommend.

I recently visited the Subway located at Eastbourne Station and I was appalled by the abysmal service and the substandard quality of food I received. From the moment I stepped into the store, I was met with a level of hostility from the staff I think they were Asian staff that was completely unwarranted. Their demeanour was rude, and dismissive, and made the entire experience unpleasant. The audacity to charge a pound for extra cheese is beyond belief. Not only is this price exorbitant, but the amount of cheese provided was so meagre it was almost laughable. It felt like a blatant attempt to overcharge customers for a product that should be standard. To add insult to injury, when we politely requested a bag for our food, the staff’s reaction was nothing short of contemptuous. Their unwillingness to accommodate such a simple request was shocking. The final straw was the outrageous bill of £70. Given the poor quality of service, the meagre portions, and the unpleasant atmosphere, this price is completely unjustified. It is disheartening to see such a decline in service and product quality from a once-popular fast-food chain. I strongly advise anyone considering visiting this Subway to reconsider and choose a different establishment. I urge Subway to address these issues immediately and provide adequate training to their staff on customer service. It is essential to prioritize customer satisfaction and provide value for money.

Didn’t pack the cookie and churro, called the shop to ask for another driver they said no then tried to get another driver to come but didn’t, no eggs in the sandwich

The worst experience I had in a Subway chain!!!! Two of your staff/franchise manager of Indian ethnicity at the Eastbourne railway station were very rude and extremely unpleasant. (Not like the ethnicity makes a difference but this is pointed out for identification )We were being extremely polite and thank them numerous time but they were extremely disinterested and gave us the cold shoulder. The sandwiches were thinly filled and we were limited to the salad options. Subway is know for its generous filling and salad option, this defy the purpose of Subway concept and very disappointing. We were spoken to like nuisance, that’s not how you should treat anyone not mentioning a customer. Moreover at the check out counter we were handed our sandwiches and cookies upon payment. When we were exiting the shop one of the staff came after us and claimed one of the cookies weren’t for us, they were snatched away from us as if we were thieves (whilst we were handed those cookies at the first place). Not one line of apologies for the rudeness and their mistakes. This experience left an extremely bad taste in us and we looked up the google review and many other customers have complained about the rudeness of the manager/staff at this particular subway branch.

This specific subway has gone down hill quite quickly would not recommend anymore

Absolutely shocking service I've just received, rude and impatient staff, food was stone cold! I won't be going back, but rumour has it it's changed owners , and now the same staff run both in town. So I guess, I'll boycott subway from now on.

Absolutely terrible most of the food was missing and the restaurant was completely useless and didn’t really seem to care they had a receipt error and they did nothing to remedy it and basically said it’s my problem

Went today at lunch time to subway near railway station, MR.AAMAN in store staff person was not at all cooperative or having patience while taking an order very disappointing service from him. He behaved so rude with me and my family … which made us feel sad

Asked for not toasted and the sandwich turned up toasted. This made the cucumber inside all warm and soggy. Shame the staff don’t know how to read properly.

order was for standard chicken breast with ham, not tika chicken with ham, so the order was wrong. Was edible, but not what I had requested.

Awful, paid for extra cheese....got less than a normal non paid extra amount to was bread basically. Paid nearly £9 for a foot of flavourless bread. Will never use again.

Average 2 out of 5 rating. Wrong drink for meal deal, Fanta fruit twist and not oasis. No quavers for second meal deal. Ordered pigs in blankets and got a pepperoni slice with cheese instead. I would have rather not had the side and been refunded or advised prior to delivery to not waste food, time or money. Will order again but not for a while as service needs to be addressed.

i was kept up to date about delay in finding a driver. but unfortunately i believe the food was prepared way before driver arrived. the hash browns were stone cold as was the toasted sub. i didnt mind so much with the sub but stone cold hash browns that are going soggy are a big disappointment

first of all the bag was wet when he handed it to me like there was something leaking in his just eat carrier bags so now my subway is wet! and cold and there must have been other orders in there as it was smashed. I'm not happy with this cold wet and soggy smashed sub way. very disappointed as usually subway is quite good.

Drink missing, phoned restaurant to be told that they gave it to the driver and they had no number or way of contacting them so there was nothing they could do. Bad customer service.

They were not toasted like I selected, and was cold, like stone cold. I didn't get sunbites as I ordered, I got sensations instead. Very disappointed with this one. I should of gone to McDonald's.

Driver went all round Eastbourne, on arrival almost an hour after order had been sent from shop, he turned up. No apology just ‘it’s not my fault!’ Commented when asked why it took so long. As a result food was stone cold!

Stale rock hard bread, couldn’t even bite it, missing cheese from my BMT, rock hard old cookies that went in the bin. I don’t know what is going on there but please do what your paid to do. This was appalling.

The bread on the sub fell apart when trying to eat it and wasn’t cooked properly and I paid for double meat and there was hardly any in there really poor quality disappointing delivery was on time tho

Even though my English is not good, their service is very good. They are very enthusiastic. When I see those employees, they will smile for me, which makes me feel that subway is great.

Ordered hot food and a chocolate muffin which they put in the same back so the chocolate had melted and was all over everything else

Absolutely abysmal! Ordered at 12:56, food estimated delivery time kept getting later and later. Phones store who assured me that if and when the driver turned up the food would be ‘re-cooked’ and sent. It wasn’t. It arrived over an hour after ordering and was stone cold! Really really awful service.

My nachos were cold and congealed I preordered . Normally I’m happy with my order but today it was cold. Not happy!

Food thrown outside flat door, wrap looks awful my nachos didn’t come with jalapeños even though they where requested. There is a blob of cheese and salsa thrown on one not even enough to cover the plain Doritos. Subs had barley any sauce in them. Ruined a meal. Took photos of how bad it was.

The food says delivered but nothing has arrived. Can’t ring just eat as no contact number and no number for driver. Absolute disgrace

Food nice but bmt footlong was only 6 inches, on wrong bread and not toasted. Can only get refund but can’t do anything about lack of food.

Rude customer service. I ordered twice the same sub because they got it wrong and upon getting my second wrong sub, after calling the store I was spoken too so rudely. The staff member then acted incredibly immaturely by disconnecting the store phone so I couldn’t get through. Appalling

Driver left order on next door neighbours doorstep. However they were out, if I hadn’t have seen him arrive I would not have got it!

The driver was walking around our area for nearly 10 minutes. Didn’t phone to try and figure out where we were and the food is now cold. We had to walk outside to find him, if we hadn’t I don’t think he would have ever found the house

The sandwich was pretty good, the cookie was nice, the wedges were a bit average, and I got crisps I did not choose. I suppose they had none of the ones I ordered...overall, the food was great, and we had a nice lunch...

Was really good customer service. The staff were friendly and on point with what they are doing. The sandwich was excellent and they put everything to perfection. The store was clean and spotless. They even asked if I wanted to buy anything else which I thought was fantastic service, and welcoming the customer into the store making me attracted to the place. The coffee machine here is very good and much better than most coffee places. Definitely better than the other coffee shops in the railway station. The manager there in the black shirt, knows how to serve has gives me a conservation while waiting for the food to come out the toaster. I believe that this store is the best store in the whole of Sussex. The staff there should keep on doing what they are currently doing at the moment. Excellent people. Highly Recommend.

Got the wrong crisps but everything was spot on

The order confirmation email arrived at 12:45, and the food was delivered at 13:52, some 42 minutes after the estimated delivery time.

Delivery driver was very nice I asked for cheese and toasted but got neither.

Ordered 2 subs both different and both with different sauces and salad, both subs delivered had the same sauces and salad inside.

Absolutely disgusting took over an hour to get to me food was cold and had missing items. The delivery driver even went to get petrol on the way to delivering my order when I spoke to the driver about it he was even apologetic absolutely disgusting

Who thing was a mess from start to finish, food came an hour after I ordered it.. it’s subway.. it takes 20 minutes at most. The driver did at least 2 stops on the way driving in the wrong direction, food came stone cold and the cucumbers were disgusting and gone off.. never ordering from this subway again 🥴 just tasted gone off
