I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews before booking as I don’t think I would have gone…however I would have missed a treat
The family and I had lunch at the 4 Seasons today and was very impressed. Food was excellent, good portion size and such a large varied menu. Prices were very fair and we felt we had good value for money.
My only complain is that we had a 6 year old and the childrens menu was very limited and not the usual choices which children love. I asked about this before booking and was told “ we can supply anything” My grandson wanted a burger so we had to pay full price. There were no children’s portions of deserts, or plain fruit juice…so be aware if you are taking children as their meal will probably cost as much as an adult’s
Apart from that I would highly recommend the restaurant. We didn’t find it dirty or shabby; staff were lovely albeit a little slow probably due to there not being enough of them
Not sure why they don’t open in the evening

Avoid , not good and expensive. 14ÂŁ for one salmon bagel and one brie chilli sandwich takeaway.
The salmon was so thin it tasted only like bread, no cream dry
The Brie sandwich tasted like added sugar and the first time I tried a non soft non tasty brie
Been here lots of times but this time 2x breakfast we had were very disappointing . Toast soggy, bacon undercooked, food Luke warm
. Wasn’t even as busy as it’s been in all previous visits. Not usual standard. Complained but staff bit rude
Chicken n sweetcorn soup inedible..so peppery had to throw away..duck was well overcooked so not much meat on our half size..pancakes were awful..packet wax full of oil n they were so thin they just broke up. The sauce resembled tomato sauce certainly not nice..Cucumber n spring onions were in such a tiny pot n not enough at all. So disappointed about the whole meal...was a Mothers Day dinner. Never again. Shame as we love our Chinese. Surely in Eastbourne there is a proper Chinese!!!
Disappointed is under statement
Very poor in all respects food ,service
Missing items had to keep asking again and again
Still not received
Not good value

I was very disappointed with my experience at this place. Google Maps states that it is open 24 hours, which was the main reason I decided to visit. However, when I arrived at 4:00 AM, I found that it was already closed. I had travelled from another town specifically to come here, so this was extremely frustrating. Please update your opening hours to reflect the actual schedule so that others don’t face the same issue.
We have visited Eastbourne once a year for several years and always visit The Town House, partly because it was nearest our hotel but mainly for the music and vibe. In 2022 we found it quiet, in 2023 it was closed, albeit temporarily. This year, May Bank Holiday, it was open but quiet and no atmosphere. We'll try again next year.
Did not seem to be enough staff, although just opened. Was told coffee would be a while because of a problem with the "machine". Found out that this was not proper Barista made coffee, although the prices did not reflect that. Staff friendly enough, but was not impressed.
