Asda Cafe Eastbourne in Eastbourne

Basic breakfast. Cheap sausages, cheap eggs, and cheap bacon. Not much flavour to the food, thank goodness for packets of HP sauce that turned it tasty. Coffee and hot chocolate were good and a decent size in large.

Staff were friendly but the food was the worst I've ever had anywhere. I ordered stew with dumplings for £6.75, for that I've got beef in some weird gravy and a single piece of small dumpling that was rock solid, served on a flat plate. I'm not sure if I should even give it 3 stars but since the staff were friendly I do.

The food is good I take it out and it don't take that long and then I put it in to a wrap and it is the best

Canteen type place with very basic food and unattractive furniture

Terrible service, staff got easily confused when making an order for 3 breakfast items, did not clarify how many items we could order for the breakfast set and got angry when making changes, also very inflexible when wanted the soup, coffee and bread set for £1 offer but didn't want the soup. Overall would not go again

Fast efficient friendly service. We come in at least twice a week. Lady this morning 14/10/23 8.30am always happy and knows our order off by heart ❤️

Normally just about okay; service often pretty good. Went there on Saturday met with sullen staff. Just told 'there's no hot food, supplier problems. No hint of apology, no sign put up to prepare you for this lack of menu. I had a teacake. Woman behind the counter asked,'Do you want it toasted?' I mean, come on, does anybody not want a teacake toasted? I said yes, please, and she looked at me as if I'd asked her to split the atom. If you don't want to work behind a counter, don't do it; give the job to someone who does give a damn or at least someone that's interested in customers and has some customer and people skills.

Food is mediocre at best, served cold doggy chips, not great

The only reasons it didn't get 5 stars are: it's a bit more expensive than other places and it is very slow to put an order in if there's more than 2 people and you want different things. Other than that, perfect food, very clean and very friendly.

Took a 3 year old, unbelievable price for breakfast, drink and banana £1...

Even thought this is just a little cafe in a large supermarket, it is always welcoming with friendly staff and tasty food sold at very reasonable prices. If you're in Eastbourne's Asda, give the cafe a go, they'll be pleased to see you and their coffee is cheap and flavorful...

Clean and airy choice of deals and drinks.

Occasionally, come here for a breakfast sausage bap and a hot drink. Depending on what time or day you come here, it can be busy with a queue.

Restaurant visit only. Ran out of everything by 1pm.

I came here with friend today. It was very busy but not too long a wait for food. It was extra busy and very noisy, but over all good value for money.

I absolutely love shopping at ASDA and wish it was closer but this poor review is based on the Ladies toilets. The other day I had to walk out the minute I went in there, almost retching. There was human excrement all over one of the toilets and on the cubicle walls! The smell nearly made me retch. I quickly alerted the security man by the entrance as it is a health hazard. From now on I try to use the Baby changing facility toilet or Diablsed toilet.

Asda is a busy store which is obvious, the cafe was also busy and I had a full English breakfast which was very tasty. Busy staff, many customers.

Functional. Too cold as air conditioning on. Person near us distracting as talking rather loudly on mobile on speaker - for around 1 hour!

The special assistance for seniors with delicious soup, roll, butter coffee is very much appreciated at this time of rising prices. Many seniors go without, now help has been offered. One thing worth mentioning.. In this cafe there is a staff member that made a pleasant senior very embarrassed /upset. She informed customer that no refills allowed despite being advertised otherwise. Also informed elderly customer only black coffee is allowed. She was unaware and had poured a latte! The elderly customer voiced to another she was made to feel like a thief. This seems to be very unkind and I was in a mind to report but thought better of it as this could also cause more hurt.and be perceived as interference.

Stopped to have a little light lunch. Little one had a lunchbox meal which she loved because she could pick everything herself and it was 5items! only £1! The toastie meal deal was brilliant for £5 I think which was a toasted panini, chips and a drink! Delicious and great deal for money. Will go back again. Nice a quiet too. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

Can't fault it, it is a shopping centre cafe. Cheap enough not to worry about anything, prompt service and food.

At the end of the day, it's a basic, mid to lower-range, in-store café offering a choice of snacks, meals and hot and cold drinks. OK it's never going to win any awards, but the biggest problem is the painfully slow queues both for your meal and self service drinks... disruptive children are an added bonus...as generally it seems to be a grandparents job to be in charge? Probably not a recommendation for these reasons.

I had a small breakfast, the bacon and egg were swimming grease, the baked beans were obviously Asda smart price. It is no wonder the hot food is kept out of site. If l had seen it, l wouldn’t have bought it. Never again, Asda cafe used to be good, but not any more. More staff would have been helpful. I only saw two. No wonder the cafe was almost empty.

Lovely clean place to eat your breakfast friendly place

The Asda Café is a café located inside ASDA Superstore in Eastbourne (the Sovereign Harbour Retail Park to be exact). There is little to no wait time, and the staff are always very friendly. There is hot and cold food to choose from, as well as a kids food section. Overall, it is a great place to go for a tasty snack in ASDA.

After you have wandered around this store looking for things that are out of stock you might feel like a snack and a coffee. Well if you don't mind very basic then it's fine. Don't go there if you want anything other than milk in your tea or coffee. No plant base milks at all. The staff are friendly but always rushed off their feet. It's cheap and okay food. Asda's don't own it, it's leased to someone. It's inside Asda's store and it is a bad reflection on the there reputation. Only go if you are desperate.

I have not had any problems with my breakfast and if you don't like anything they will happily change with a sub, food is hot and tastes great and staff is friendly thank you.

The staff are friendly and helpful so nothing but praise for them. But the coffee is NASTY! Dispense it yourself out of a coffee machine and it has a horrible 'been left to brew for way to long' kind of taste.

I had a breakfast and it was cold I should have taken it back never again I won’t be eating there again

Visited the cafe today at the crumbles. Husband had fish and chips and I had chicken tikka. Fish and chips was served freshly cooked and great. Chicken tikka had to be returned as meat luke warm and rice cold although the plate was hot. Pleasant staff said they would serve a new tikka. The replacement chicken had been reheated and was crisp on the ends, and the naan bread inedible from reheating. 2 mouth full and I could not, in all honesty, eat the rest of the meal. Certainly will not use the cafe again.

Great cafe with good food and excellent service. This is a very well run cafe but is quite small. The breakfast is the best around. It is very clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I visited the Eastbourne Asda Cafe today with my mother and we found that the women working there were rude and had the personality of wet dishcloths.

I arrived early for an early morning appointment, and nowhere else was open, so it was Asda or nothing. I didn't have high hopes! I asked a member of staff where the cafe was, and he directed me saying, 'they do a good breakfast.' He was right! I opted for the smallest breakfast - fried egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown and beans - £3.50! There was honestly nothing wrong with it, hot, well cooked, not greasy and very tasty. Helpful young man serving who carried it to a table for me. When in the area again it will definitely be breakfast at Asda!

Just to put the record straight there is no such thing as the Crumbles Retail Park ... few years back it was changed to Sovereign Harbour Retail Park as part of Sovereign Harbour Village UK .. nearly two million people visit each year the Harbour for shopping recreation and leisure

My family and I visited the ASDA cafe purely by chance and we weren't disappointed. We opted for the 'Flying Breakfast' @ £3 a head. It was cooked just right hardly any grease & good for what you paid for. Very surprised it was this good so much so we went back again later in the week. Try it yourself & see you won't be disappointed I assure you.

Hardly any menu changes, but food is okay and you do get quite big portions. Can get quite busy and there isn't much seating space.

He oí muchas personas se quejan y s salir. Por favor SOLUCIONE ESTE ASDA! No tengo nada en contra de los niños, pero darle a un niño un tambor y le bang. No es agradable cuando estás tratando de relajarse con un café y una comida. También me gustaría que el aire acondicionado no era muy frío. Aparte de que quejarme, no me puedo quejar, el servicio y la comida!

Fuimos a tomar un capuchino hoy y cuando nos quedará asombrado el azúcar en fue 40% 60% líquido espuma! Ahora perdone para afirmar lo obvio pero sé cómo un capuchino funciona ... Pero esto fue tremendamente y probado peor que el antiguo o heces de un día cafetera! C'mon Asda - sacarlas juntos!

En el gran esquema de las cosas, te dan una buena relación calidad-precio. tiendo a ir por algo fiable como una patata de la chaqueta en un restaurante como este, para salvar una decepción.

Stopped there while shopping in sunny Eastbourne and found it very convenient, very quick service and also cheap; quality wise... no different from a lot of cafes, to be honest.

Friendly staff, food ok, can sometimes be bit dried out later in the day due to sitting in the warmer too long..Nice spot to chill out and people watch after a heavy shopping spree.

You will beat this place for value for money often busy and noisy but what do you expect from a supermarket cafe, the staff are lovely particularly Jo who can't do enough for you!

This is a small hole out of the way Staff do not care and the food is terrible. One visit was one too many When a complaint was made to the Manager he did not care less and no refund or apology was offered.

we visit this cafe often, excellent value for money, staff great but so many times have had to leave early as the noise from children banging their feet on the awful hollow highchairs is too unbearable to sit and enjoy a meal, I have seen a whole group of people leave for the same reason, and often hear people they can't stand it, children don't bother me at all, I have three young grandchildren but if you give them a drum they will bang it !!!

This is a good ASDA Cafe which does the same as most ASDA cafés, although the service is much better than some.The staff when the visit was made (19/07/2014) were very helpful to all the customers, friendly and knowledgable about the prices and the food. Some of the food needed cooking but this was quick and efficient and brought to the table in a timely and courteous manner.Yes this is a Cafe and not a Restuarant but it still does what it needs to do and serve the customers well.The atmosphere and layout could do with improving as quite segregated but overall clean and acceptable.Enjoy - Recommended
