A fantastic little find. Having recently moved to the area we are looking for recommendations for places to try. First choice came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. Extremely hot and tasty food that was very fresh. The lady behind the counter is friendly and chatty and definitely very welcoming. We will 100% be back!

A regular haunt of ours , it being an olde worlde sort of place with pleasant staff where we are always made to feel welcome , and where the food is always good . All at a reasonable price

I left a note saying I would like to swap sweet and sour sauce for curry sauce and they didn't do it. chips were cold when ordering arrived.

The food was great apart from the onion bhajis which were way over cooked for the 2nd time of ordering and the mint sauce was watery and tasteless. I will be ordering again from here but this needs to be looked at.

Attended Greek gastro last night and what an experience The food was amazing true traditional dishes with a modern modern. The atmosphere was perfect and the staff welcoming and attentive Couldn't have asked for more well done Mr Dunkerley and the team

Lovely staff and good haddock and chips

Loved our stay, the room was so nicely decorated, staff were friendly, breakfast was delicious. Loved the extra touches of the tea & cake and brandy night cap station for guests, and the terrace out the back was a real sun trap to relax. Would love to come back and stay again!

Lovely pub in the centre of Goodnestone, we love the Sunday lunch... a different roast every week, excellently done, with superb roasties and lashings of gravy! The pub is lively and popular and has a great atmosphere, friendly and warm, fire is always going (nothing worse than a cold pub!!) We regularly take friends and family here for lunch. Besides the Sunday lunches, the menu is also excellent.

We were sitting for 1.5 hour waiting for our food. Ordered a sirloin steak medium well, got one that was very well done and dry like Sahara. When complaining I could get another steak but after waiting so long for the food, just didn't have the energy for another wait. The food wasn't very good, the service was terrible, as they were understaffed, and when asking for a deduction on the bill, as I didn't receive what I asked for, I got some very nasty answers back. In all very disappointed and wouldn't recommend for anybody to eat there
