Beano Cafe Restaurant in Dover

Ordered a mega breakfast. Nice bacon, chips and beans. Sausages cheap and nasty. Coffee was horrible. Had an aftertaste of TCP. Had one sip and left and got a costa. Eaten at other beanos cafe's and been great. This was quite disappointing

Ricco fresco con carne di manzo stra tenera. Ottimo davvero Provatelo. Ma ci sono comunque tante altre scelte per tutti i gusti e portafogli. Prezzi bassissimi rispetto alla media UK. Personale gentile e veloce. Aggiungo, locale molto pulito

Very disappointed Ordered a breakfast the mushrooms was so old looking they looked like dried mushrooms The sausage was just as bad cheap had a bitter taste To top it of the first 2 sets of cutlery I was given hadn’t been cleaned properly and still had food on Will definitely not be coming back

While on a visit to Dover i needed a hot lunch on a freezing cold day. Looking on Trip advisor found the Beano. A fantastic meal at amazing value. If if Dover look no further.

This is good old fashioned cafe food at good old fashioned prices. Lot of choice, but it's always a fry up for me. Very helpful and friendly staff, food always cooked to our tastes and a proper MUG of tea: happy days

Worth changing your eating plans for, we normally have dinner in the evening but we decided to eat early as this place closes at 16:00. We started by having a hearty breakfast and then returning at 14:00 for dinner wife had a roast and I tried liver and bacon as my wife won't cook liver. Both meals were exceptional and so cheap. If you want a no frills well cooked meal with an extensive menu so kids have a good choice then this is the place for you. Bon appetit!

had a lovely roast dinner, lots of melt in the mouth lamb with a variety of vegetables. good size and very good value for money. didn't have to wait long considering how busy it was

We stopped here for breakfast, friendly little place, good service from the staff, freshly cooked food, good prices. Recommended

Have never been in before but many of the 30 seats were free and I found the tables clean and the menu of breakfast, lunch, pizza and the option to combine ingredients were generous. Some were having omelettes or cheese on toast, but all must order and pay at counter. Tables for two or four people most of whom were probably regulars. Other Beano cafes found in Thanet. Three or four staff friendlier with regulars so some visitors could feel a little invisible. I would go there again, having found the nearby Dovorian too full. Tables cleaned after diners left.

Absolutely amazing! First choice place to go whenever we are out in the town. Food is absolutely incrediblely tasty as well as unbeatable value for money. The service is top notch would 1000% recommend.

We stopped at the laundromat nearby to do some clothes and decided to have lunch at the Beano Cafe, since it was so convenient. It was small, but had an excellent selection of British foods at very low cost. We ordered and paid at the counter, and the food was delivered to our table. My wife had the roast lamb with three veggies, and I had the liver with bacon, onions, potatoes and peas, and they were both really outstanding-- some of the best I've ever had, and such huge servings! I wish we could stay in Dover longer because we'd love to go back to Beano- really a great meal at a great price in a very clean attractive cafe,

A varied menue which is good value, and service with a smile. Happy to change chips for mushrooms on the mega breakfast which was fab, and the liver breakfast was lovely too. Would definitely come back if we are in Dover again so am also happy to recommend this place to others..

Every year we come to Beano's for brunch on Christmas Eve. It used to be breakfast, but these days the kids are never up lol The food is simple but good and great value for money. We come here at other times too, but Christmas Eve is always a set feature for us :)

The food is very good here. The dining area is clean and the staff efficient. I ate there twice, and it was busy, but not packed. It would be nice if they provided Wifi.

Went there yesterday for breakfast with my wife. The place was quite busy either becasue most shops were closed on a Sunday or maybe becausee it indeed is popular. I ordered the liver breakfast while my wife ordered the vegetarian breakfast. The food was rather good and the complimentary coffee was an unusual surprise for us Londoners. The portion size was good and yet we paid under 10 quid. Will go again.

We went into the Beano Cafe and were very pleased. The Beano Cafe was clean and neat. I am disabled but there was no difficulty in getting around although it would have been rather narrow for a wheelchair. The toilet facilities were clean. The tea if a little strong was still very reviving and very welcome.

We stopped in to have a mocha and relax. The mocha was one of the best I've had, and we come from Seattle, WA, USA, where all of the latte and coffee house boom started.

Good breakfast,generous portions and a very good price,food arrived quickly no hanging about.I recommend this cafe.

My wifes vegetarian burger was extremely dry and boring. My burger was just totally plain. Non tasting chips. It was on the other hand quite cheap but still not good enough.

Great all day dinner had many breakfast here also very good at takeaway breakfast sticks good value for money too

Came off of the ferry and dying for a good English breakfast. FANTASTIC! Would certainly come again and is now in my Favourites on my satnav

The sunday roast is great value, but the place does get busy. Can't fault the food or the service though.

The food is always good and hot, the breakfast extras are really good and include Bubble and Liver. Service is fast The best thing about Beano's though are the customers they attract. Great for people watching.

Cada año (si en ningún otro tiempo. . Que sería inusual.) vamos a Beano's para Nochebuena frituras. Es genial para nosotros que nos juntáramos antes de ir a hacer cosas diferentes en este día especial (algunos de cabeza al pub, así que este es un entrante perfecto). Siempre hay mucha comida y el personal es muy eficiente en mantener el tráfico en movimiento.

This local cafe is very popular for it's food & friendly atmosphere,although run by foreigners it serves whole some English food at very reasonable prices, its the cheapest roast dinner in town and always busy on sundays but you can get a roast any day the week, it contains real meat all fresh cooked vegatables and reasable roast potatoes, the one complaint is its a frozen yorkshire pudding but over all its ok 2 roasts 2 cofee's about £13-00 does a varied menu of breakfast, pies, liver & bacon which i've had and is tasty,over all i would recommend it

Pedí un sándwich de tocino en una rebanada de pan, porque he tenido un bypass gástrico y no comer demasiado. Mientras espera para mi sándwich leí el menú en la mesa y pareció que me habían cobrado el mismo precio que un bocadillo normal. Lo reclamé y la respuesta fue más o menos difícil. Nunca lo frecuentan este café por debajo de nuevo y también asegurarse de que mis amigos sepan lo que se desea. Muy decepcionado.

De la calle, y viniendo de Nevada, Estados Unidos, que podría ser relevado por pensar que el café "beano" sería que sirve una versión británica de comida mexicana, pero estábamos equivocados. Beano Cafe sirve cocina británica que a este turista parecía muy buena, especialmente el pescado y las patatas fritas que se hizo de una enorme losa de cod. El café estaba limpia y el servicio era amable, los cocineros eran rápidas, teniendo en cuenta el restaurante estaba lleno, y los precios eran más bajos que la feria. Volvería en cualquier momento.

Hombre qué centro de grimness. Ambiente desagradable si no personal hostil así como clientela dovers. La comida era rápido y muy buena relación calidad-precio fuera de toda duda. Este tipo de lugares no pantano toda la comida con granos y la tibia, salchichas de carne tiende a falta. También sirven como el mismo café blanco que es insípida sólo soo. Pero el aire de desesperación que invade todo significa no volver, aunque la comida es buena y barata.

Desde el exterior, pensamos "¡puaj!" cuando llegué allí me era un poco como "parece un café de la calle de atrás, grasienta no es mi tipo".

Greasy tables, unfriendly service, food unpleasant, why on Earth does anyone eat here. Avoid there are so many better cafe's in Dover

Excellent breakfast , friendly staff, everything freshly cooked. Traditional English breakfast and also more healthy options.

I discovered this place on Trip advisor, once settled I browsed through the menu and discovered the full English breakfast, to my amazement it only cost £3.80 and included a tea or coffee!! I couldn't believe it!! So this is what I had, it was served piping hot and was very enjoyable, not the best quality but acceptable for the price.

If you are looking for a midday value for money lunch then this is your place. A real working class cafe.

Nice place to have some brekkie. Friendly staff reasonable prices. Is always busy here and can understand why. 3 breakfasts with a drink each was under £15

We had a fry up and a drink was very nice and filling. The staff were friendly and happy to meet any catering needs, however I do think needs more tables

We were very late arriving but my cousin knows the staff well and they stayed open late to serve us. I wish our home town had a Beano! A little old fashioned cafe .... very clean .... amazing food choices .... very quick service and so so so friendly! !! So much nicer than the boring sterile Costa type chains and franchises around. I would highly recommend it .... and the chips were SUPERB! !!!

My husband and I came across this place by chance. Dover does not have a lot to offer by way of good 'eateries' but for our breakfast this was a first class choice. The place was almost full which made us think it must be good - a good start. We both had a full English which was cooked to order and served on a hot plate. An excellent choice. We have relatives in the Dover area and would return there again.

Nice place to eat apparently is good for the specials breakfast. Eat where the locals eat! If u think that this is the place. Good value. We had fish and chips it was not amaZing but still we enjoyed. £5,5 for Cod, chips and peas.

We visited on Tuesday morning for a cooked breakfast while in the town. Service was great and there were plenty of options to choose from on the menu all at good value for money. The breakfasts also included a tea or coffee, 2 breakfasts for £10 is great value for the quality of the food especially for an independent café.

Very impressed with this place. Clean, friendly, efficient & one of the best cooked breakfasts I've had. Superb choice of breakfasts at a very reasonable price & all included toast & a hot drink. The lunch menu was impressive with proper British food, roasts, sandwiches & proper hot puddings. Next time I'm in Dover I'll be back!

Perfect late breakfast after the ferry from France - really good value for money- even the mushrooms were fresh. Lots of choice and combinations. A proper mug of tea. Lots of folk having dinners which looked good. All served without fuss on clean tables.

This is the best cafe in Dover. Nice place delicious food and friendly staff. Even with reasonable prices for good and plate full of meals. I recommend this place to everyone who comes around this area. That's what I do ;) enjoy your trip people.

Proper English cafe. Very small, but good breakfast. They don't accept card payments so we had to take cash from the nearest machine.

Mega Breakfast the way to go.Not the ritz by any stretch of the imagination, but really good value for money.£5.10 got me the biggest breakfast I have had in a long time.Bacon, eggs, sausages, chips, beans and hash brown all served hot and inc a cup of tea and toast.I won't need lunch today that's for sure, j6st a long walk to burn it all off.Would I eat there again? DEFINITELY

We called in at this place while on a day trip to Dover and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a cup of tea and a cup of coffee with our sandwiches. The food was made to order, the drinks were hot and freshly made and the cutlery and plates were spotless. This is a busy little place - and turnover must be the reason why they can provide such good standards at such reasonable prices. Well done.
