We ordered the breakfast with freshly poached eggs leek and spinach based on an attractive photograph outside.
What we got looked like a bowl of dishwasher water with leaves floating in it. The freshly poached eggs were like last nights hard boiled eggs and we didn’t find any leeks. It was edible but dreadful and nothing resembling the photograph. The place was empty and I now know why.
I’ve never had a bad pizza from here. The girl always tries to find the best deal for you and the food always arrives like the oven is outside your house. The toppings are always very generous and make dominoes and the hut pizzas look like Tesco value pizzas! I cannot fault the food or the staff in any way whatsoever. 10/10
This place used to be one of the best around but in recent months it has slowly declined. Quality and quantity is reducing gradually while prices are increasing. Chips are hard and dry and portion sizes are inconsistent. Fish much smaller and a large portion now resembles small elsewhere. Such a shame... time to go elsewhere
We ordered online on Saturday night around 7.50pm, including Kung Po Chicken(with Cashew Nuts) and Beef Chop Suey. The food was ready quickly and on time for the collection and was very tasty.
Went for a Sunday roast and for £8.50 I wasn't disappointed.
Roast pork, roast potatoes, two large Yorkshire pudding, leeks, brocolli, red cabbage and gravy.
Couldn't eat any more and Cheryl, Tasha and Erin make you feel more than welcome. Thanks again x
So was told by the staff please wait I'll only be 2 mins. Its - 4c so its freezing, but I wait. 2 builders turn up and ask is anyone serving. Another person turns up. After 10 mins we all go to Burger King. Not very good is it?
It was one of the best pizzas I've ever had! I wanted to try a different pizza place, and now it's my husband's first choice! Food always arrives hot and fresh, looking forward to trying other items on the menu.
I had really high expectations for this pizza place however was left utterly disappointed. I bit into the pizza and the base tasted raw which is a huge disappointing shame. Also ordered a garlic pizza bread which was just slightly thicker than a wrap which was very crispy - not in a good sense. And mozzarella sticks which I probably could’ve cooked better myself. They’re attached to an Indian restaurant which however is incredible so I’m shocked how unsatisfactory the pizza was. I took one bite and had to throw the rest away. It looked fine upon first glance but upon taste it was oily and the dough was not cooked properly.
We were a party of three. Got a friend staying over and we wanted to go somewhere local and walk-able and with a dog also in tow. The one plus point is they are happy with dogs in the establishment. Tried this gaff before and not been impressed, especially with the food side. The beer, best not go there. If you don't drink lager, good luck with the one and only cask ale in sight. A Harvey's Best of questionable condition and quality. Over to the food. Standard pub grub fare you see anywhere. Hence starts the fiasco of ordering the food. Initial order was for 2 chicken pies, and one butter? chicken burger. This order was taken and promptly cancelled as they had "run out of these chicken pies- sorry". Ok, we said, lets go for one portion of fish and chips and 2 potions of chicken burgers. Minutes later an apologetic barmaid comes to the table we are at and says the last fish and chips portion has sold!. This was re-selected as sausage and mash and at last the order was processed! Food, arrived a few minutes later but only 2 potions. The second butter chicken burger meal was mysteriously missing. "with you soon was the stock comment". Twenty minutes later still no third meal. After chasing, it did actually arrive. We all ate it but were not impressed with the quality of the meals. Now we come to the bill. The fish and chips was still on the charge and was more expensive than the bangers and mash replacing it. This was queried but little was altered on the bill itself, but we were given a £1.20 something cash refund. By now, we had lost the will to live and couldn't wait to get out and go home. We are not passing customers, been in that pub since 1986 but on this showing, never again!
A family sunday lunch with teenage kids.
Plenty of parking, friendly welcome and service and good quality food and choice from the carvery.
Would recommend for the great value and we'll be going again!
