Uncle Harry's in Crawley

We mainly use 3 Chinese take outs, China Garden in Northgate, New Rainbow in Ifield and Uncle Harry's. Uncle Harry's is our main goto but it really is hot or miss how good it is going to be. On a Saturday night, very good and really tasty but during the week it is a bit of a lottery. Tonight was our son's 21st so we had a takeaway treat and it was really poor - chicken balls so over cooked, chips over cooked and no S/S sauce with chicken balls. Would have complained but not worth going back out for some sauce.Had a few occasions on having to go back for missing or wrong food but management just argue.

Just had my very first meal from uncle harry's it was delicious, best Chinese for miles. Food was hot and very tasty.

The food is really good. I wish they went back to using aluminium foil containers instead of plastic as it would be much better for the environment.

Dissappointed!!!Because of thr pandemic i know businesses have lost money.Ordered Singapore Rice and Curry sauce It was under their card limitWanted just rice and sauce had to add chicken balls to take it over thr £8 minimum.Should have walked away and let them lose money instead.Brought paracetemol in chemist the other week, they were happy to take card for £1.32!!!DISGRACEFUL

crap customer service wanted the special rice dish because it was under £8 they wanted to charge me for using a debit card tried to explain to manager that it is now illegal to charge for using card there is no charge on debit card might have better response talking to a brick wall

Ordered garlic chicken, lemon chicken and some rice and noodles dishes, the order was repeated back over the phone to me correctly.Once collection staff courteous however when we got home and dished it up for the grandparents and children we were faced with something hideous.The garlic chicken, although it smelt divine, the chicken was so rubbery, tough and quite frankly inedible it was disgusting. It didn’t even resemble chicken if in honest, it looked and smelt more like pork but we couldn’t even cut through it. Very disappointed to sit down to a family meal and discover this

Been using uncle Harry's for a few years and before they moved I used them at broadfield Crawley , always lovely food , sometimes slightly greasy but very few Chinese in Crawley can match the food for taste ,, always use uncle Harry's ,,

Great food and fast service. Only downside is they don't deliver but the food is worth the drive to collect.

Not the same since Harry left! No wonder not busy at weekends and new yummy has taken the popularity! Food gone down hill and not good value with its price of dishes! Will travel from till gate to furnace green in future!

Me dieron la comida para uno, estaba listo en un tiempo récord y no caliente, cuando llegué a casa, así que dudas es fresco.El dulce y amargo no era agradable, era un poco de coherencia (tipo sobras congeladas jellyish) y tenía un sabor de vinagre. abrumadoraPor desgracia, me había derramado este sobre toda la comida.Yo no creo que el arroz frito o la carne chop suey" al platillo o eran geniales, pero como el pollo dulce y amargo que estaban calientes, así que no ayudan.No volvería.

Mi primera visita aquí para una llevar y me quedé bastante decepcionado con la comida.El tamaño de las porciones eran aceptables, pero eso es todo.Estilo cantonés pollo era bastante soso. Las piezas de pollo eran pequeñas y duras. Sólo 2 piezas de piña y un pequeño trozo de pimiento verde.Las costillas en salsa de barbacoa era muy duro.Huevo frito arroz estaba bien.Todo bastante caro en mi opinión.

Uncle Harry's is the best cantonese take away food in crawley. The prices are reasonable and the food is always good quality and fresh.

Always use Uncle Harry's for Chinese take away, I know people who travel from Horley to get their Chinese take away from here

Creo que una gran parte del problema con el tío Harry's es el ambiente en sí.No hay nada malo con la comida y es bastante barato para conseguir su toma de distancia de aquí, es un poco fría y poco atractiva.Estoy seguro de que una redecoración de la fachada de la tienda con una puerta que satisfizo bien aumentaría de negocios de manera significativa.Tengo un preferido para estas solas razones

If they have changed hands since I last ate here, then it doesn't matter, the food is still delicious, service quick and friendly.

Not impressed,very greasy,rather average,pricey for what you get.The food is passabe but if you can cook for these prices you can get just as good in Sainsburys,Tesco,or Asda.In fact more for your money and all you have to do is pop it in the oven

The Restaurant is a nice place with very nice options of chinese food. Prices are very good and people very pleasant!Try the shopsuey or the chops....

Had a few visits to this place and have not had any major disappointments.Had a couple of times when ordered Crispy shredded beef that it wasn't fresh, but still edible.The only negative thing is they don't deliver,which would make this better than the best.

Uncle Harry has been in crawley many years and always offers great food and excellent service. Over the past years I must have tried everything on the menu and never been disappointed

New uncle Harry is a great chinese/cantonese takeaway. The food is always freshly cooked to order, and the menu has a huge selection. The service is always friendly, and very fast

We live nearby this takeaway and we think it's wonderful.Their menu is excellent, if you order chicken, you get actual chicken breast, we have never had a bad meal there,. and have been eating there since 2002. It makes all the other Chinese takeaways look bad, the food is that good.

Reasonable food quickly prepared - but the Council's 1* rating for food hygiene puts me off visiting again!
