Seriously bad food despite what dish to order all tastes the same . Basically your meat in onions and a gravy with a flavour ? God knows what… noodles with basically no contents and basically… it’s basic. Little to no effort on their side to do justice to your hard earned money. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED AND SEEK BETTER !!! Won’t be hard elsewhere…. I BEG U

Ordered through Just Eat with estimated delivery time of 35 mins. It took 1h35 mins and turned up stone cold. Had tried to cancel after an hour but was refused. When I called to complain about the cold food that was an hour late and the fact they would not let me cancel I was met with hostility and a lecture on how it takes 25 minutes to cook a dumpling, and an agressive 'so what do you want me to do about it', I just hung up there as these guys obviously do not give a toss about tgeir customers. AVOID.

Got food for take.away and very good and will go back. Food seemed cooked well but need portions to be slightly bigger. Just better value for money.

we ordered the food at 6:50pm and it said it would arrive at 7:10pm. It’s now 8:40 and we are still waiting. We called multiple times after the first call they said it was on its way then the second call they said they are re printing the order as all of the drivers are back and we do not have our food. God knows if this will ever turn up. Absolute joke.

I would love to know why you have diced to lately flatten your salt and pepper King prawns before you use to cook nice plumped salt and pepper King prawns now they are flat and horribly over cooked hence why I now go to poundhill Chinese food has a certain way of being cooked and this is not at all a Chinese way of cooking over cooked prawns and flattened what has happened

Terrible food, overpriced and completely obnoxious. Without doubt the worst chinese I have ever been to. Avoid at all costs

To be honest food get worse and worse and delivery-have to wait 5 hours. Didn’t pick up the phone at all! If you can’t deliver just update your client. They have no problem taking payment through. Don’t recommend!

Unfortunately, although the customer service over the phone hit 5 stars, the quality of the food fell short compared to other Chinese takeaways in Crawley, some in RH11 area hitting 5star. The egg fried rice was like value brand rice with an egg cracked into it, noodles lacked flavour/colour. The bench mark for pricing was very high compared to others locally within 3 miles, Sorry it’s probably not what you expected why try to be fare.

Very poor service, an hour late for delivery and when called twice to chase this was lied to about it being with us in minutes operator also rude and ended the call whilst I was still talking. Food was extremely expensive this was our first and last use of Chinese Garden. I also sent an email which is what was advised on the confirmation of order and had no reply. Avoid

Food is always delicious and arrives quickly. By far our favourite in the area! Tonight someone else took our food, the restaurant were really good and sent a new one immediately, arrived fast after them saying they'd try again! Hot and tasty.

Never walk past a takeaway whilst you're hungry. Smelt so good I had to buy something to take home. Very nice indeed.

Don't order online. Order accepted and payment taken. Half hour later email saying order denied. Disgusting customer service. They say not enough drivers (acceptable) but then said I could go and collect! I wanted delivery for a reason...no car. Fuming taken money and no sign of refund! They should not take money and accept order! AVOID!

Phoned and they stated not enough drivers, that's fair enough but person on phone extremely rude, only alternative was to go and collect, explained didn't have my car but she just kept repeating herself. Still waiting for refund!

Our food was cold noodles greasy and tasteless chicken balls were soggy won't be going back .Maybe they have changed staff😡

Just collected my order. Far too salty on every dish which is a real shame. Been going there for 20 years and tonight was so disappointing, would I go back again. Not sure

Order at 18:21 receive food at 20:40 after ringing repeatedly to get through. First chase after 90 mins - “driver is out with the food just a few minutes” 2nd chase - left phone on side whilst serving other customers in background and comes back with “driver has dropped the food in car and need to remake he’s on way. Will be 15 mins” which given she didn’t speak to anyone was miraculous she knew this. 3rd chase after another 20 mins - he’s on his way. 4th chase 20 mins later - “just wait he’s coming” No apologies, no offer of any compensation or refund of delivery charge etc.

Very poor service cancelled our order by email half an hour after we placed it. Kept the money still have not recieved a refund! I will not use again.

I have lived local to China Garden in Maidenbower for a few years now and I’ve never had a bad meal until recently. I was just ordering for myself one evening so I ordered Duck & pancakes, king prawn noodles and some muscles. After only a few mouthfuls of the noodles you could tell how greasy they were and left a terrible after taste in your mouth. The prawns were very watery and tasteless and the first two muscles I had were “gritty” so I spat those out too! I decided to just eat the duck as I was obviously still hungry but opening the bag you could see it was burnt to a crisp and was so dry I chucked everything from my plate into the bin! The remaining food I put in a bag. I tried to call the Takeaway but constantly got the engaged signal so I emailed them instead, including photos and explaining that the whole meal could not be eaten. I received no response from them so I emailed them again. I am disabled and use a wheelchair. I very rarely leave my home due to my disabilities and anxiety. Anyway I still didn’t get a response so I rang the takeaway and finally got to speak to the lady there. I told her the problem and asked if I could have that order replaced and we wanted to order more food too. I told her about the emails but she said they are not able to receive them as their system isn’t that good so with the help of my son we went over there. As I cannot always get my wheelchair over their high doorstop I parked as close as I could and used two sticks and my sons help to go inside. By the time it was my turn there were around 5-6 other people in there. I quietly explained that I was the lady who rang her and gave her the bag of food. I found the emails I’d sent and explained that I’d thrown away the rest of the food. All of a sudden the woman starts shouting at me that she’s not going to replace the order because I didn’t bring back the whole meal and I should have taken one bite, spat it back out then take back all the food but because I’d thrown away what was on my plate, a whole plates worth then I’m lying and she will give me 20% off my next order?! I said to her that I have been ordering from there for years and never had an issue and I order from there at least once a month and normally spend from £30-£50 a time and she said all her customers do that, she doesn’t need me! I also tried to explain to her that due to me being disabled I am usually unable to leave home but I felt it was important that I came to speak to her face to face and didn’t expect to be shouted at especially in front of other customers! She was so rude and just wanted to shout and get rid of me. What a shame that one bad meal caused such an issue that she had to speak to me so rudely. Because of her attitude I will never order from them again and as she said she has lots of customers who were loyal like me, let’s just hope they never get a bad meal.

Ordered food at 17:10 and received it at 21:15 on NYE . Couldn’t get an answer from place as phone was constantly engaged so emailed them instead and still no answer. Ruined my evening after a tough few weeks. I want a refund for the inconvenience. Crawley trading standards know about it so if any one else had the same experience on NYE please get in touch with them . This place should be shut down. I will not stop until it is.

Worse night of my life was waiting for 2 and a half hours on New Year’s Eve for some Chinese food. Over 200 orders, 1 person at the front desk and no apology. Everyone was in the same boat and some people were waiting for over 3 hours. What a great way to sum up 2020.

Well thought we would try this takeaway, but to say we were disappointed is an understatement.... Ordered on line but they lost the order so was left waiting for 45 mins in the shop. Get the food home and one item missing another wrong. And the general quality was poor. Would not recommend and definitely will never use again....

Excellent authentic Chinese food with generous portions.

I think the woman who picks up the phone cannot understand what is being said. This is just an observation. I've been a vegetarian for 24 years I ordered vegetable fried rice on the phone - walked in the rain to collect it when I got home and opened it the rice was with meat and prawns. When I called them to let them know about a mistake hoping we could fix it this same woman picked up the phone and started arguing with me saying I ordered meat fried rice... Zero customer service skills. Zero attempt to try and fix the error. No apology of any sort- and I really do understand mistakes happen. Just arguing with me 😂😂 just plainly rude and unpleasant. I just gave up and hanged up the phone. Terrible service and won't be ever ordering again. Food is very average and not great. Would not recommend especially if you're a veggie - avoid.

Ordered on a Saturday night through Just Eat website.... delivery should have been for 19.40....hour after order... called at 19.50 to be told it would be another 40minutes... not good enough... yes it’s Saturday night and you are busy but if you cannot keep up with orders and delivery stop using so many companies and deliver on time....

We’ve been coming here regularly since 2014. The food has always been good. Unfortunately this time I called and asked them to deliver. I was told minimum order £18 so instead went to collect it as my order was £15.60. On arrival into the takeaway I saw a sign stating free local delivery - min order £14. We live in Maidenbower, I challenged her on this and said I was disappointed and that they couldn’t change the goal posts! I then went to pay by AMEX and was told they don’t take AMEX. I told her she was registered with AMEX for their shop small scheme. She told me the fee was too high. The food is good but the sizes are getting smaller such as the chicken balls which are nearly half the size they were previously and also the sauce pots are half the size. Overall - I’m disappointed and after 6 years... I won’t be going back. You can’t treat your regular, local customers like this.

I don’t normally write reviews but felt compelled to do so after my experience at the China Garden Takeaway. We ordered a takeaway from here as we have always had a good experience and nice food. Unfortunately on this occasion we ordered the Lemon chicken which was quite frankly inedible. The chicken tasted old and dry and when I phoned and explained about this the customer service was shocking. I was willing to take the the food back to show them and I explained that the rest of our order was fine, however this dish in particular was terrible. I asked if I could receive a refund and the lady said no and that I wasn’t being fair. What wasn’t fair is that I have had to pay for a meal that was not fit for consumption. I will not be returning to this takeaway in the future and I would warn others to do the same due to the general lack of customer service.

Had to visit Bewbush Weather terrible. Fantastic Chinese still talking about it.Will definitely go there again.Told all my friends to go as well.

They got the order wrong and they were very rude when trying to repeat the order. They claimed we were wrong the first time. After ordering a second time they got it wrong the second time as well. They were rude and didn’t try to solve the problem. Instead they repeatedly stated we were lying to them. At first they told us the price was 26 including delivery and when they arrived they said it was 31 as they had added a few extra drinks.

We ordered a £40 takeaway,delivery £1.50 extra and we live 5 minutes away. After waiting around 40 minutes I called and they said it will be here in 5 minutes which it was. The food tasted okay but the sauces were all very thick and gravy like. I won't be using again.

Friendly staff, friendly service and always prompt delivery. Rice portions are huge, so you might want to ask for half a portion. Food quality is decent, some dishes are better than others and probably the best Chinese in Crawley from my experience.

Some dishes better than others, but I believe that's the same for most places serving food. Large quantities of food (rice is in huge portions), and telephone service and delivery have been efficient and polite. On balance, we're happy with it !

Ordered & paid online on Monday evening. Recieved an online confirmation. Waited and nothing arrived. Called about 20 time. No answer. 2 hours later recieved an email to say the order had been cancelled. Emailed them, still no reply. Will never order from here again.

Friendly, efficient staff make the service look effortless, even when it’s heaving- which is most of the time. Delicious, authentic food, beautifully prepared and presented. Feels more like a treat that a convenience and we have never had a bad meal; quite the opposite. It is constantly brilliant. Recommend it to everyone who likes good Chinese food. The Thai curries are also to die for.

Food is really good here and the price of the food is reasonable too. Order from here maybe once a month as it’s local, the food always arrives warm and they are accommodating for any changes you’d like to make to your choice.

Been using China Garden for years and even more so recently as they started to deliver to Turners Hill through Just Eat app for £1.50. Today placed usual order through Just Eat but was rejected. Phoned and was told they would deliver for £4.50. Found another Chinese takeaway who were further away and same £1.50 delivery charge. Sorry China Garden but you have lost a long standing customer and will no longer recommend you. Poor customer service.

Sweet and sour chicken was pretty good, if a bit oversweet , I had to ask for napkin and fork and spoon with my take away, they should ask up front.

It's ok - not much egg in the egg fried rice

the speed of food was good however the dishes were substandard in every way..... the duck seemed microwaved, the rice was terrible and the additions to it even worse and the lamb was all gristle....... in other words, we won't be ordering from here again! poor effort guys C'mon.....

The food is excellent, but the delivery is terrible. Will only deliver in a 2 mile radius as travelling 4 miles in the cold (12 minutes in the car!) will affect the food quality! I consider 4 mile local but they disagreed. Shame... as I had 6 friends over who wanted to taste the food and we would have put an order in totalling £113.60. Obviously they changed their minds when i told them my older total, but I had already ordered from another Chinese restaurant 12 miles away who were happy to deliver and food quality was excellent. Thank you Canton Chef. I think China Garden needs to stop being fickle and reconsider its local clients in a 5 mile radius as LOCAL. Totally your loss.

Well we order dinner for myself nd hubby nd children and find a massive chicken bone in the noodles that my 4 year little boy goes to eat and all I got back from them was I give u the money bk for just noodles it's naughty he could of chocked
