The Snooty Fox in Crawley

We were served and looked after by Iain: wonderful, professional and ever so polite staff member who constantly made sure that we were fine and had everything we needed. An asset to.the team.

Been a few times now, staff are always engaging, friendly, chatty, attentive, build a rapport and remember you. A reliable venue, for both drinks and food.

This review is for the management staffing levels and not for the pub itself. A group of us visited the pub for drinks. On arrival we found the bar area absolutely heaving and only two members of staff serving. When I asked the question, why are you so understaffed? they told me that was the level the management had set. Being that it was a Friday night leading up to Christmas, I found this to be totally unacceptable and ridiculous. The waiting time for customers was far too long and the unnecessary stress and pressure on the two bartenders was avoidable. A special mention for the young lady behind the bar, who rushed around with minimum fuss and drama and did a sterling job under the circumstances. She was left on her own for large periods of time and I really felt sorry for her. The actual bar is massive and to expect two people to manage it is way out of line. I feel GREENE KING needs to take a long hard look at their staffing policy and particularly the staffing levels. It is totally unacceptable to expect customers to wait for ages to be served and put this unnecessary pressure and stress on their two employees.

Steaks were excellent, and very friendly and efficient bar staff. My son and I had a great fun evening. The guy that served us the meals came back after 5 minutes or so to check if everything was ok, including how the steaks were cooked.

Stopped here on our way home from Gatwick... Very pleasant experience! The whole place is neat and clean, staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful too. It's a normal Greene King 'pub grub' menu, so we were expecting the average pub grub experience..we chose a 'Sharer', a Scampi and. 'Hunter's Chicken'... When food came out, which it did very promptly, we were very pleasantly surprised...it was all very, very well presented, and beautifully cooked, REALLY good! We'll be back when we are around there again that's for sure! Only took one photo, too busy eating

This is an amazing place. Matt looked after us really well all night. Bo was perfect aswell. Also Kirsten was also amazing with us. GIVE THEM A RAISE Will 100% be coming back in the future if we come down to Crawley again.

Iain and Linda were absolutely fantastic, their service was great and they were so friendly! The food was exceptional! We only happened to find this pub as our train at three bridges had to stop and they closed the station, the snooty fox was just across the road and we decided to try one of their lunch time deals of honey halloumi in ciabatta with chips and we did not regret it! I would stop in three bridges again just to visit this pub! Thanks for the great food and friendly service! 😊

Had a bit of an experience , bit of a mix up in the booking. Kirsten & Ian the team on the day handled the situation brilliantly , even arranging the parking !!!! I won’t go into details , but Ian was an absolute gentleman.

Fish and chips for 2 was lovely. Iain was really friendly and attentive and even read my mind and brought an extra pot of tartare sauce! Very attentive. The only criticism is the rear garden could have done with a clean.

Came for England Football Game. Due to it being busy and not being able to order food outside. Ian gave us amazing service. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Thank you Ian!!!

Enjoyed a drink and late lunch at The Snooty Fox with our young dog. The pub is extremely people and doggie friendly. Plenty of space, relaxed atmosphere and great value food. The service from Megan & Charlotte was outstanding, and we were made to feel very welcome. Will certainly pop in again and highly recommend.

Came in as were down for work - asked if we could watch the Scottish football and Megan was more than happy to help! Really enjoyed the mixed grill

Although the bar was busy matt and kirsten were very attentive, iain on the floor was amazing he cleared all tables and was joyfully and happy to talk to people and encouraged table service refils and was constantly checking on people, he is a five star employee in actually fact i thought he was management but he said he is not, the food was amazing too a wonderful roastbeef i will be recommending to all my friends

Brilliant pub with great staff behind the bar and in the kitchen. Neve, Kirsten and Charlotte were behind the bar and I also met the manager- Matt. All were brilliant the whole night. The food was great too.

Met a friend here after work for a few pints, as we do a few times a year. The Snooty is what it is. Great for sports. Decent beer and menu. I just can’t help but think that if they ever employed one or two extra staff for the busiest times it wouldn’t take so long to get a drink. 15mins last night while one poor young lady ran the bar on her own, and empty glasses / dirty plates filled the tables across the whole pub. And the toilets are rank. I’d like to say it was a one off, but it’s every time we visit. Come on, Greene King..! It really wouldn’t take much to make this a great venue!

Good pub for sports, a group of us came in for drinks before going to Brighton and were pleased to see there were 3 members of staff rather than just two people they normally seem to have on a Saturday who get rushed off their feet. The new guy knows what he’s doing, as well as Megan and Linda who are always friendly and take a genuine interest in my day. The pub was nice and tidy and it was good to see all three actively clearing and cleaning tables ready for the next customer. Only downside, the toilets, but this isn’t something they don’t already know about. Hopefully Greene King will do something about it because I feel sorry for the staff who have to put up with it

Went for a drink with the family on a Saturday afternoon wasn’t too busy so decided to order some food.. waited 25 mins to be told there was a delay with the food, so we ordered more drinks and waited.. 30 mins later a bar lady came over and said ‘ they wasn’t serving food any more today and to go over to the till to get our refunds’ Absolute joke! No apologies or explanations just a refund! So an hour wasted! If that wasn’t bad enough the toilets were disgusting and absolutely stank of stale urine! And that was the ladies! Not been to the snooty fox in over a year and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Definitely won’t be wasting time here again and certainly won’t be recommending it either! Come on sort it out!!!!

I met my friend, that I haven’t seen for ages. We used to meet up and play pool on a regular basis. The snooty is perfect for that. The beer is well looked after and the atmosphere is great. Linda and Kelly behind the bar, were both very efficient and professional, great service, thank you ladies

We were dropped off last night after an afternoon out only to be intercepted by the rudest female "security" personnel who immediately made a decision we were not coming in. We were a group of professionals who had NO intention of coming in, yet to be confronted by a rude individual who obviously had no experience in interacting and reading a group of people has left us never wanting to enter your establishment in the future. Your security lady needs to be reminded on respect and treating others how she would expect to be treated. This experience unfortunately tarnishes your pub...

Booked a large group 25+ for food and drinks. We were given a reserved area which was perfect. Great food, well priced. Excellent service from Charlotte and BO.

A lovely modern but traditional pub with a decent range of lagers and beers, a good lunch menu and a number of TVs covering major sporting events Always guaranteed a warm welcome and excellent service from lunchtime staff, Linda and Kelly.

We came for dinner with some friends and Kirsten is a very good assistant manager and very good at her job. She helped us amazingly and couldn't fault her and I wouldn't come here if she wasn't here.

Often come here to watch a game or two, loads of Tv screens dotted about. Toilets need updating and most seats need new upholstery. food was ok.
