Met up with family here today. The four of us had a lovely lunch with pleasant and efficient service. The pub was quiet which meant we had a choice of table. The place had been freshened up and was clean and spacious. We had a table by the window which was private and uncluttered.
The menu was a good one with a range of dishes supplemented with a pie menu and a pizza menu too. My husband had ham, egg and chips which was generous and well cooked. Our companions both had different pies served with mustard mash, cabbage and gravy. I had an Alsace pizza and side sald both of which were delicious.
Having been to The Bull over the last 6 or 7 years we have had varying experiences. This was definitely one of the better ones with good food and service. We wish the new owners well in making this venture a success. They are certainly breathing new life into the place
Unbelievable just how bad this was. One waiter trying very hard to do it all, but it took almost an hour to even get our starters. The starter was the much advertised and praised (oh yeah?) smoked haddock souffle. Which I suspect was a pre cooked topping of whisked egg, plonked on top on some smoked haddock with a spinach base, so not a souffle at all. Surrounded by a far too highly spiced sauce that did not complement the 'souffle'. Awful. Then another long wait for the mains. I had fish and chips my husband the hake. Both mediocre. As these are the new owners after new owners who never lived up to the previous owners, I would hope things will improve. They need to stop trying to produce 'fine-dining' that they cannot achieve and concentrate on well cooked pub food. I'll give it a year before we return and hope for the best. The pub has been fitted out nicely, shame no local photos and pictures have still not been reinstated. The waiter was excellent, but even with the reduced number of diners but him running the bar too, more staff are needed,
We've been talking about trying Beefeater for over a year and as we drove past we decided to try them for a late lunch. The server was friendly and attentive. The good delivery was a little slow and while it wasn't bad it was nothing to write home about. Can't say it was memorable enough to return.
We had a good experience. Food was fresh but could have been hotter. I liked the ordering system and the kids appreciated the bottomless soda. We had a 20 minute wait on a busy Saturday bank holiday weekend which was fine. Friendly staff. Solid 4 star. Could have been 5 if food was hotter and a little more time taken to prepare and present.
This is a lovely all you can eat with reasonable prices. The decor hasn't changed much in the last 30 years but the food will help you see past it. They have a good range of food which is all
freshly prepared.
I attended at lunch time and it wasn't busy in the slightest, I highly recommend a visit if you are starving and fancy some good Chinese food.
A good place when you and your friends/ business partners want to have a quiet conversation, not loud music, staff are very attentive and friendly; drinks brought to the table, highly recommended š
Me and my two sisters had a lovely lunch here. The food was exquisite with generous portion sizes and gorgeous views. The service was attentive and the ambience in the pub quaint and homely with a roaring fire (which was needed that day in chilly early May). Comfortable seating and great music. I would highly recommend this place and we will return some day soon.
If you're craving a kebab in Ashford, Topkapi is a solid choice. They're seriously quick with delivery, and the food always arrives hot. The salad is always fresh and crisp, making the whole thing a real treat. I wouldn't order a kebab from anywhere else!

Eastwell manor and its surroundings are beautiful but some of the service here is jaw droppingly bad. To be fair the breakfast staff were nice, the trainee manager on reception was nice. But in general the reception staff ranged from indifferent to obstructive and rude. We were staying in a large party for my daughterās wedding and when we checked out several of us had been overcharged for use of the spa. We were also ALL locked out of our rooms when we returned around midnight by incorrectly programmed key cards. The reception staff ( one guy in particular) had no client facing skills whatsoever. No apologies. No action to put things right. When we checked out it took hours of wrangling finally culminating in outright rudeness from the receptionist that had to be put right by the duty manager when he eventually deemed to grace us with his presence after about an hour of waiting around. Astoundingly bad service.
