Rubbish. Dhunsak lentils was hard and undercooked but the flavour was so nice! Please cook your lentils properly. Rice was hard, not fresh! Naan was burnt.

The Keema and Garlic & Onion rice was perfectly fluffy and flavourful and the garlic naan was delicious. I honestly couldn’t fault Ashford Indian Diner, we were really impressed and look forward to ordering from here again. The service was also fab, we ordered directly from the website and got a 15% discount. Our delivery driver was also a lovely guy, shout out to him! Honestly, we were slightly sceptical due to some of the other reviews on here, but I’m so glad we gave Ashford Indian Diner a chance. I really recommend it if you’re looking for a decent curry and would also encourage you to try some of the house specials, I’m really glad we did.

We have been to the Indian Diner in Ashford may times and discovered it by accident a couple of years ago! we regularly go with the family (six of us) and sometimes with friends. The food is marvellous and the restaurant has a good selection of wine and beers. Great for vegetarians (we can recommend the Vegetable Dhansak) and meat eaters ( I can also recommend the Tikka Jalfrezi) with a good selection of side dishes. The staff are wonderful and best of all the Indian Diner is great value for money. If you like proper Indian food you must try it.

Visited this restaurant Saturday 24th Aug and we have never felt more unwelcome here. We arrived at 9.15pm to be told we would have to be quick as they were closing at 10pm. Our order was taken quickly by the unfriendly waiter who practically ran with our drinks to our table. The food arrived very quickly and was not the usual flavoursome meals that we have had here in the past. No sooner had we eaten then the unfriendly waiter was back to whip our plates away, he didn't bother to ask if our food was okay. We had the hot flannels and orange segments plonked on our table followed rapidly by the bill. The only time the waiter smiled was when we tapped our card to pay as he knew we would be on our way. Whilst we were eating our meal, a table for 6 wanted to come in and they were told they would have to be quick as the restaurant was closing in 25 minutes, needless to say, these people walked back out after the unfriendly welcome they received. We have eaten here many times in the past and have always been welcomed by the owner and staff, the food has always been lovely. If people are receiving this kind of customer service, I'm surprised this restaurant is still open. Without customers you do not have a business and we will certainly not be returning here again if this is the level of service that our money is paying for.

Very disappointing approach to customer service. When you make mistakes, you correct them. In my opinion there are better more polished eateries in Ashford. Cinnamon Spice, Kennington Tandoori and shame Curry Leaf is no more! They look after their clients and most of all do not argue when they are wrong. Mr Karim Noor, it seems when you go on holiday the mice really do play.... disappointing.

Had a takeaway for 6 people as the restaurant was fully booked, Everyone loved the food, fresh meat and good size portions.

Really disappointed with the mixed starter platter. Portion was very low for a 7.25 pounds starter. 1 small piece of chicken, 1 small piece of lamb, 1 small piece of prawn and 1 oily samosa for that money is outrageous 🤔 And biryani was more like a fried rice very very disappointed !

Ordered a chicken madras .it was not cooked properly..for like a vinderloo. The chicken has not been marinated. As the chicken was still white in colour. Next day everyone in household had bad stomach .lasting mist of the day. I would not use this takeaway at all from thus restaurant .very unhappy .

Booked a table for five for my partners 50th birthday. We had a lovely time. Staff were very polite and so smart. Good choice of wine. Lovely coffee. Lovely white tablecloths, pleasant atmosphere. Food was delicious. My 8 year old loved his punkytoy dessert! Would highly recommend.

Amazing food and the staff were brilliant, can’t recommend enough

AVOID! Their food is grotesque. I ordered a take away from them and half of it was inedible. I wouldn’t even give it to the neighbours dog whom I despise. The chicken bhuna was runny, luke warm and had hardly any chicken in it. The cauliflower cheese dish was burnt worse than Anakin Skywalker and the rice was tasteless. No response to a personal email complaint either. They must have toddlers cooking the food as it was absolutely disgusting. In future I will just eat my money as it will have more taste than the trash I was served

Just ordered a home delivery and was very impressed, the food came in good time, we ordered Chicken Tikka, Lamb Tikka Korma, King prawn biriani and a few other dishes. All were first class. Highly recommended and looking forward to my next order already

Have dined in this restaurant for a number of years. The dishes have always been very satisfactory and the menu provides many choices. The staff provide a good service and are always polite and keen to help when choosing a dish. The restaurant offers a good deal on Tuesday, which is well worth keeping in mind

Went here for a work lunch today, all I can say it is a hidden gem!!! How did I not know about this before!!! Absolutely amazing food, fresh and tasty omg loved it soo much!!!! Food and service was fantastic. Can't fault it, definitely would come back for the evening menu which looks exciting!! I will be a regular! Wow wow and wow !!!

DO NOT EAT HERE: Digging into a Chicken Curry and near the end of my meal I find what looks like a baby cockroach in my food, when we spoke to the cook and owners they justified the reason as that it could have been put in after the cooking (as if that makes it any better) I have photographic proof of this and proceeded to ban us for bringing this up. I beg if you want to eat at an Indian Restaurant. DO NOT EAT HERE!

Went here for my birthday. On a Tuesday you can chose four courses from the normal menu excluding duck and seafood for 14 pounds the food was fantastic every dish different and plenty of it the staff are lovely and helpful will definitely return

We ordered a meal that should have cost just over £20.00 - the driver came and charged £37.25 - my partner paid it not wanting to argue with the delivery driver which I think is fair. Baring in mind this is maybe an hour fifteen to an hour twenty after ordering and a call to see where it was. We called and the manager was agitated and swift and didn’t really listen at all. He was almost angry with me for calling in and having an issue. He spoke very very quickly. Conceded we may have one extra dish after I really had to push back (we had four but he explained away the other three as add on’s to other dishes and such - news to me as 34 years Pakistani but hey ho). I emailed him three days ago after calculating the cost of our meal online and how much it should have been - the food we had ordered even with the extra dish we did not order he conceded had been sent -should have been 29.00 not 37.00. Without the dish we did not order it should have been 20.00 - to not hear back. We are owed nearly 20.00 by this restaurant and Johnny who said he is the owner. It’s baffling to be honest. The phone call was baffling, we made an order. We should have been charged for that order. A receipt should have been sent with the order. When we called to say this is double the food and money, he should have said sorry. Someone will be back to pick it up and give you your money back and we will text you or send you a receipt. I am still waiting for an email response for what is now theft? I’m genuinely baffled by this. I would never recommend getting a delivery from here ever via ordering on the phone. It’s the biggest no from me in regards to places to order from. We were also poorly which was why I decided salan or curry was a good idea to cleanse so that sucks. 0/10 for me Jonny. Sorry. You owe me nearly 20.00. I’d rather donate that elsewhere. I feel like I’ve been robbed. Utterly bizarre. Having said that if I do receive my money back which I am hopeful about because otherwise this is just actual robbery?! I will of course delete this review.

Very Rude Staff. Apparently the waiter didn't like questions being asked about the food. Horrible service. Our cold drinks were served from old bottle. Food was not up to the mark either.

Had the worst food from there last night, took 2 hours to be delivered, even after ringing twice to ask where it is and getting told it was almost there when it wasn't, by the time it had arrived it was stone cold and inedible.

I’ve been using Indian Diner for my takeaways for almost 5 years. I’d say delivery times have always been somewhat ‘generous’ and seem to have become progressively worse. Last weekend was one of the worst yet! When I called to place my order, I initially asked the lady how long delivery would take. “around an hour” I was informed. I then proceeded with my food order. After waiting two hours for my food and 4 phone calls later, our food eventually arrived. No apology, no reason. This will be the last time I ever order from Indian Diner. You desperately need to sort your delivery service out! Absolute shambles.

We were a group of 11 with small children. The team were friendly, patient and great with the children. The food was really tasty and great value. We had such a lovely evening and would recommend this restaurant.

Went to the Indian diner last night with my partner her mum and my mum and her husband. We booked for 6.30pm and although my partner and her mum didn’t arrive until about 7.10 the staff were fine. The Decor is pleaant and the lighting not too over powering, creating a nice atmosphere. The service was first class, and we were not waiting too long for our food or drinks. I had a sheek kebab followed by lamb rogan Josh (made especially without onions) as I am allergic to them, and both garlic and chilli Nan breads. Everyone else had chicken korma pilau rice and onion barges and we all enjoyed the food immensely. The bill came to just over 70 pounds including a bottle of red wine. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good curry.

Had a takeaway delivered today, no chutneys and the poppadoms were in pieces and smaller than walkers crisps. I have phoned them and all he said was oh, will give you extra next time. Not a good attitude, will not be going back so we have lost out there. Not impressed me at all

Service terrible. Took 10mins for them to ask if we wanted poppadoms. Hadn’t even been asked what we wanted to drink. I asked if they had a Pinot blush waiter said he would find out - 10mins later had to ask again and then a waiter turns up with a white wine! 7 people came in after us and their food orders were taken before ours. The hot plate came out by the time the food came out it was cold. My partner asked for a Madras sauce and they came out with a Masala sauce. We asked for onion bhajis for two - they brought three out!! It was as if they weren’t listening. We’ve been there a few times but sadly will never go back.

Ive tried so many Indian takeaways in ashford and absolutely love Indian diner, I regularly order from here and recommend you guys to lots of people. I just want to ask if you've changed the recipe or chef because the tikka/Kormas have been different in the last few orders. Unfortunately, They are slightly too spicy for me.

Have had several takeaways from here and can not fault any of them.

Visited here for the first time on an off-chance meal out. Fancied a curry and stumbled upon this place. Quite a large restaurant- nicely decorated and laid out. Usual Indian menu but limited on wines. Food was okay. My husband really liked his but I found mine quite bland and tasteless. Also found some egg shell in one of my dishes. The waiters were friendly . One waitress was not very attentive and did not really listen to what was being asked- however, she may have been training. It was okay but not sure we would return .

First and last time i will use this restaurant, ordered food early afternoon for a 6pm delivery via just eat app. Order arrived at 6.20 pm, when we put food out on table it was luke warm to cold, not just one item but the whole meal was cold. We attempted the meal and in honesty it was not up to scratch and ended up in the bin very dissapointed and will not use again, better indian take aways in ashford by far

This restaurant always provides a good selection of dishes. The portions are reasonable and well presented. The service provided by the waiter’s is very good they are both polite and very sociable

3rd week in a row the takeaway order was incorrect despite it being read back and corrected. Discount for takeaway not applied. Sauces placed at the bottom of the carrier bag resulting in being squashed by heavier containers on top. Move the phone to a quieter area so you can hear and you may be able to retain business. Ample opportunity given but won’t be returning.

Quite a long wait for the food to be served and they weren’t even that busy. We ordered 2 chicken kormas and the met in both was raw in the middle. They took it away and replaced it, but it wasn’t good. The same evening a family member of mine ordered a take away from here and he said his was so bad he couldn’t eat it. I may as well have thrown £40 down the drain. Avoid!!

I wish I could give zero.. never order from here.. ordered in the afternoon n food was delivered at 6 o clock in the evening.. cold n smelly fish.. the rice was dry n fish was smelly... it was pathetic n awful...

I have to say this was a very disappointing experience on a special day. Went in with my family to celebrate birthday and firstly they had one child chair which wasn't the restaurant types, they had the ones you have at home! one waiter catering for over 6 tables which meant the service was extremely slow! the starters came up really small and most of it was onions (mixed platter). the mains didn't taste fresh, clearly a microwave job and to top it all, they gave us the wrong bill that had a few alcohol drinks that certainly weren't ours. I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend I'm afraid!

I placed an order via Just Eat and waited over 2 hours for delivery. I phoned the restaurant 3 times to chase. Each time, I was told it would be with me in 10-15 minutes. The meal finally arrived by a 7 year old child, whose mother sat in the running car. The meal was cold and there was only half a packet of chips. Obviously the child and their mother must have got hungry on route.

Lovely currieswhich we had as a takeaway. Haven't used Indian Diner for a year. Gorgeous flavours but portions were a lot smaller than they used to be. Prices were good but I would gladly pay a little more for larger portion. Still brilliant though.

I went with my uncle and you could do it by yourself I didn't really like the pudding but my parents really liked it and my brother you can find it at Whitechapel down the street it's really good to eat and there's different of varieties you can choose

Have tried a lot of different Indian takeaways in Ashford. I was pleasantly surprised how nice our meal was. Easy to order online, good price,food arrived hot and tasty. The chicken was so tender not chewy or dry. Waited about an hour but expected that being a Friday night. Would definitely recommend and will be ordering again.
