We received our delivery nice and quickly. The food was delicious and hot. A very enjoyable meal

Wish I could give minus stars because I would…..Absolute disgrace of a company. Placed order 17th April money taken out of my account, then receive txt saying unable to collect because they were closed… still no refund 10 days later called today and told manager was on holiday for another week and can’t help me. You should an ashamed of yourself.

Delicious food and great delivery service ! Polite and on time . Not parsimonious with the meat; plenty of soft and well prepared lamb and chicken with gorgeous sauces . We ordered two house specials . Chicken Khushbu & Sylheti both were a house delicacy . We had mushroom rice and Kashmiri rice . Will definitely order from them again . This will be my “go to “ Indian restaurant for my Indian takeaways . Well done all and thank you .

We have been customers of this takeaway for over 10 years and have always chosen this takeaway over others in the area.. We ordered tonight a delivery for three of us (£55) and half way through the dinners which were good, hot and tasty, two of us found two black hairs in both of our chicken baltis which really put us off eating the rest of the food. We called the takeaway to complain and ask for a refund and the person who answered did not seem interested or believed us, refused to give a refund, blamed it on just eat! We asked what his hygiene protocol was, ie hairnets and he said yes they had ‘health and safety’. We had to end the call because he flatly refused to do anything about it. A real shame but having now read some of the other reviews on here it seems this place has gone down the pan!! Avoid!

Have had a couple of takeaways from here now and both times they have been delicious. The portions are generous and flavoursome making it good value for money.

Utterly disappointing! We have used spice garden for a few years now, they were always the most reasonably priced, and lovely food with easy service. In the last year when ever we order there’s always something, Whether it’s spending 20 minutes giving my post code (it constantly being read back to me incorrect) then them going to the wrong house (this was a few times) and always late. Tonight I called at 5.25pm, not a busy time so I thought, was told my order would take 40-60 minutes… 2 hours and 15 minutes and a call later, our food is here… minus a dish. When called she didn’t have a clue what I meant at first and then just said “yea it’s busy I didn’t write it down”.. she read my order back when ordering and it was correct? EVERYTIME there seems to be something and this time is going to be the last time, there’s plenty of amazing Indian take aways, I’d rather pay the extra and know it’s going to be perfect each time, not the circus we get with spice garden.

Rude staff. Delivery took over an hour. Wrong food turned up and then refused a refund. Attitude is terrible

The food is good, the service is beyond awful! Used them for a long time, always on collection. Moved and used them for delivery - awful and really don’t care, find it funny! Ordered 5.30 told 50 mins, Waited 2/3 hours, told if food turns up cold they’ll refund but not if 2 hours late. Really really awful and wouldn’t use them again. Done this 3 times now. Such a shame.

Dreadful service. Have used for a number of years on collection and very good. Moved house and switched to delivery, beyond awful. Say 50mins delivery, 3 hours still waiting. They are not interested. Said if food cold they’ll refund but not if late. Really shocking and disappointing, won’t be using them again, this is the second time they’ve done this and quite simply they just don’t care.

Very poor indeed, felt diddled by their business practices and their attitude.....first time I ordered they missed off 2 items ...they said they would give me a free item on my next order...they did give me a free item, but then decided / refused NOT to give me the 10% discount for cash that was standard, and marked up in the store, and then charged me for the salad and dips that they give free anyway. The food quality had also deteriorated along with the potion sizes......definitely won’t be using them again.....please be careful in dealing with this establishment........

I have had meals from here for several years now and have been very pleased with the flavours, quality and affordable prices. I like the fact that the curries are traditional to curries I had from Indian restaurants from forty years ago!. Never been disappointed.

Awful had a chicken vindaloo and bombay potatoes was ill for 2 days never again. Try spice of India in the town much better.

Really disappointing. 45 minutes late. They sent it to the wrong house and I was asked to go and get it from the house it was wrongly delivered too. Definitely wasn't going to be doing that especially in the Covid world we live in these days. Eventually when the manager of the shop spoke to me he sent out a new order. They got it to me very quickly but because of their initial error they rushed this second order and the food really wasn't good. The poppadoms were soft, a lot of the food was lukewarm. (Luckily I've got a microwave). When I answered the door to the deliverer they sent their kids to the door, I assume this was just incase I was going to be angry for their error. The lady who delivered my food blamed the kids for her mistake saying she lost concentration. I would not have got angry because I'm not that type of person I just think it is extremely unprofessional sending your children to the door and then blaming them. I know I shouldn't have done but I expected maybe something extra chucked into the order for the inconvenience however that didn't happen. Overall not satisfied one bit. Would not order from here again wish I spent a bit more and went elsewhere.

Hi had a takeaway last night the 30 12 2021 it was tasty and hot but really disappointed with the chicken/sauce ratio about 4 bits of small chicken in my balti and 4 really small pieces in my tandoori starter for the money was very disappointed but it was nice just meagre

Please beware that their prices online are not accurate as when you pick it up you are informed due to unstable times they have put price's up. We use it when we want an Indian but surely that's illegal to show one price online znd then charge you a different price when you go in the restaurant.

Food is good but always add extra minutes on when picking up a takeaway, especially at busy times

We use this takeaway a lot and usually it’s pretty good. Today unfortunately after waiting nearly 2 hours for our food - which I was told was ready but waiting for a delivery driver - it arrived cold. I complained but was told I’d not get a refund and hoped we enjoyed our food. Needless to say won’t be going there again and I suggest others go elsewhere too. Try the Kennington Tondoori (great food) , spice of India or the Indian diner. All are far better and certainly less rude. How they are still in business astounds me

Ordered family meal to be delivered. Phoned my order early evening as expected them to be busy on a Saturday evening. Was told I could be waiting up to an hour which is what I expected for weekends. TWO HOURS later my food arrived and stone cold. I was advised by the delivery man to contact the restaurant about my complaint, which I did. Not at all interested. Just told they didn’t have any delivery drivers. If I were told when ordering it could be a 2 hour wait, then I could have made the decision to wait or order elsewhere. Was told I would get a call from the manager, but this never happened. Out of principle I will NOT be ordering my food from here again.

A real shame as this is the takeaway we always use and never had a problem - until now. Ordered and confirmed via Just Eat at 7.29pm with an estimated delivery time of 8.35 - 8.55. Acceptable as long as the food is good. Delivery eventually arrived (after I’d rung the takeaway to find out where it was) at 9.30pm (2 hours after the order was placed. And the worst part it was cold and had to be heated in the microwave. Appalling service and next time I’ll use Kennington Tandoori. ☹️

Don't even bother ordering from here, took over 2 hours for food to come came cold. When we called to ask the person on the phone she was rude and had no clue what we were even talking about at one point she started talking like our order hadn't even been cooked yet even though it had been 2 hours and they were closing in ten minutes! Don't waste your money!

VERY POOR BAD SERVICE AND VERY AVERAGE FOOD was told food would be 20mins for delivery but took well over 1 Hour (why say 20 mins !). When the food did arrive we had missing and wrong dishes ! I phoned the restaurant to inform them that there was a problem with our food in which they blamed the lady that took our order and the boss would call me the following day to sort out as they was to busy to sort it out at the moment.... (guess what ? no phone call the next day !!! as I suspected...) I wouldn't have a takeaway from this so called restaurant again if you paid me to ! Terrible service !!!

We picked the food up on collection. The food was nice and cooked well. The staff are present, the wait wasn't too long. I will use Spice Garden again, and would recommend this take away.

I ordered a Chicken Korma - The next day I went to reheat my leftover food for lunch and, as I was serving the food I found several straight dark hairs (more than 3) which wasn't my hair texture in the Korma. I was absolutely livid! I drove past Spice Garden, I was able to look inside through the kitchen and lo and behold - THE COOKS ARE NOT WEARING HAIR NETS! If you are local in the area you can see for yourself. PLEASE CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE EATING.

Waited 1hr 45 mins for a 45-55 delivery time. Food lacked the flavour expected, and such a shame from reading the other reviews. Called the restaurant which was received by an uninterested party who stated it was out for delivery but could not confirm delivery time. Would avoid if possible.

Highly recommended. From pleasant gentleman on phone taking order to delivery Food was hot and fresh with plenty of flavour. Was even asked when ordering any special requirements, I asked for spicy and spicy I got. It was lovely to get my order correct as so used to items missing or order wrong from other Indians in Ashford. Thank you.

Just ordered a take away. Via "just eat " ( another waste of time with no responsibility for those they promote). Food late, cold poor quality, if you enjoy quality Indian cuisine this is not the place to go. Delivery quality was appalling. Popadoms reassembled a bag of corn flakes. Think the delivery driver must have been a wanabee Lewis Absolutely awful

Just had the worst takeaway ever..my butter chicken dish was tasteless and had slices of chicken istead of chunks, balti chicken tasted like it was a jar of curry sauce from tesco. And when i added up what we ordered i was over charged.

Ordered 5PM turned up at 6.50pm stone cold with a main dish missing. rang up the missing dish turned up about 8PM again it was cold the meat full of gristle gone down hill wont be ordering again

So sad. We order every week and I waited 2 hours for a luke warm load of rubbish tonight. So disappointed. Will go elsewhere next time

Ordered a chicken tikka masala balti got given a chicken balti, missing a naan bread and a rice which never got redelivered and am still waiting on a refund for, wanted to take it off my next order but why will i order again from a takeaway which cant get an order right in the first place, total joke

Went to pay tried to overcharge me even after I explained still wanted to overcharge me was a regular won't be going back which is a shame as the food is great and so are the chefs

Originally they told me half an hour so I explained I wanted to collect at 7! Arrived just before 7 to chaos - one man manning phones taking orders - badly & putting them in a dish!!! Kitchen in turmoil! 40 minutes later still NO takeaway- people came in orders were wrong etc - gave up asked for my money back & was offered 10% discount!! Held out & got my full refund left & will NEVER go back!!

We’ve been getting our Indian take away from here for years, however this evening was a huge disappointment. Our order was wrong, what was delivered was freezing cold, the poppadoms were stale. In all pretty disgusting and I couldn’t even get through on the phone to speak to anyone. Doubt we’re be going back.

Well don’t know if it’s changed hands or new chef but dire. Chicken tikka starter burnt and really really DRY Both main courses tasteless. The biriyani was dry due to the fact there was no veg curry in the bag ( couldn’t be bothered to go back and collect) all in all will not be going back.... oh even the popadoms were stale

I live very close to this takeaway and eat here regularly. Wed had a couple of indifferent meals here on busy nights over the last couple of months, so decided to try some other restaurants locally to compare. All is forgiven!! Despite the occasional lower than normal standard meal, they are still a million times better than the local competition, so the fact is although we all know in an ideal world your standards are always consistent, I think you have to live with the fact it doesn't always happen and it's still probably one of the best Indian takeaways in Ashford .

Bloody disgusting never again I agree with the last review. This meal was the most disgusting vile muck I've ever had the misfortune to have tasted follower up by even worse service making out they can't understand English. Please be warned extremely bad service.

Lovely Indian takeaway. Very tasty dishes. I think the most amazing Indian food by miles. I would recommend to everyone to try this takeaway. Quick and fast. Also do delivery free of charge. Staff is really friendly. You can also order and collect. Parking right in front of the shop.

After trying to give the chef the opportunity to put it right my borfriend suggested he would put a review about his experience and the chef said ‘do it everyone always says this when they want a free curry’ I might add that was not the point, it was to give him the option to put right a wrong tasteless stodgy curry! So good luck guys if you get bad service here, your meal goes to waste as does your money. This is the best in ashford hands down. Been to most in ashford and they dont even come close. Give it a try you wont regret it!

I've used this Indian for years, the food is brilliant and delivered always hot and fresh. The owner/staff are always polite and friendly... I will only go here now for Indian food 💙💙

Sat 2nd Dec 2017. We telephoned and the gentleman was very polite and agreed to deliver. The meal was delicious and hot and the driver was very friendly too and found us straight away. Thank you for delivering to us. We will ring again.

so we live nearby and do enjoy a good takeaway.Now I'm no Indian food expert but we do enjoy the food coming from here it's consistent and we'll cooked.We phoned in our order and then collected it although we were told 30 mins to collect which seemed awhile.Would order again, especially as u can order online now

I had tried all Indians take aways and restaurants in Ashford, and l can say this is the best l ever ate, have it every weekend and during the week too and never disappointed. They know how exactly l like it and is always so yummy. Thank you guys!!

Que pedimos desde jardín de especias en los pocos años pasados. Han perdido cosas de nuestra orden antes. Así que normalmente también la orden antes de salir (Colección única opción comida). La última orden QUE YO HICE con ellos, Y ME REFIERO A LA ÚLTIMA ORDEN QUE ME HAN puesto con ellos mi hija recogió. Cuando llegaron a casa los PAPADOMS faltante. donde Me gusta un papadom. Siempre pedimos una de sus "Colección única opción comida" así que deberían saber lo que debería ser. Poner la comida en el horno para mantener caliente rang y les pedimos que nos envien el papadoms tan pronto como sea posible. Ofrecen entrega gratuita y 2 minutos a la vuelta de la esquina. NO. le daremos gratis papadoms la próxima vez. ¿Cuál es el punto de eso. Quiero papadoms con esta comida. La próxima vez que pida la "colección única opción comida" viene con papadoms de todos modos. NO hay servicio al cliente cuando se cometió el error.

Así que literalmente nos acabamos de mudar a Kennington y me di cuenta de este lugar a la vuelta de la esquina de nuestra casa, como con todos los movimiento en estábamos demasiado cansados para cocinar así que pedí un indio e incluso perezoso daban a entregar.

Como clientes leales al jardín de especias durante más de 5 años estamos muy decepcionados con el pobre servicio que he recibido en las últimas dos ocasiones dentro de las últimas dos semanas. Nos dijeron que nuestra comida sería una hora de espera, que estaba bien, como es de esperar, pero al doblar a recogerlo, no tenían siquiera comenzado cocinar, y tuvimos que esperar otra hora sin excusa. Para llegar a casa nos dimos cuenta que la comida también estaba equivocado y peldaño hasta decirles y nos dieron una disculpa mansos. Por desgracia ir cuesta abajo.

No vale la pena comprar comida. A la izquierda la semana pasada. Chef Calidad enormemente deteriorado. Me registré con el personal y confirmó chef leaft y abrir uno nuevo en el sur de Ashford.

Eaten Indian food for more years than I can remember and had bad and good but I have to say the quality and flavours here are fantasticThoroughly recommend to everyoneEspecially the chicken dhansak!!

I have spent years now trying to find a curry that "hits the spot" we had a chicken madras & chicken dansak , the meal was absolutely fautless , i would highly recomend the spice garden, fantastic chef well done, we wont be going anywhere else

I have known this takeaway for some time now. My family and I originate from this part of the world and I can assure you the food is top class. I have been suggesting to Razdaq and the chefs Munim and Fahim that they should open a restaurant as I truly believe they will become the most popular Indian restaurant in Ashford. The quality of food is of an extremely high standard and the level of service is second to none. The staff are all kind and helpful and it is a pleasure to order food from them ( which I do once/twice a week. )Do try Spice Garden and you will I believe agree with what I have written. Conclusion : the best Indian food I have eaten in Ashford served by a very friendly group of staff. The chicken biryani - BEST IN THE WORLD !!!!Enjoy...!!!!!!!

Do you know what? I can't fault it. Tried other places and nothing compares. Delivery not the quickest but they do not misguide you, they give you an honest time. Delivered hot. Reasonably priced. Why try anywhere else.

This is my local and I use it almost every week. The food is freshly cooked and we haven't had anything from the menu that we haven't liked. For me the Biriyani dishes are the best !

Razak and his colleagues have got things bang on! Food is simply excellent and cooked to suit your palate.

Great takeaway; food excellent with each dish differently aromatic and flavoursome; not a 'one taste for all' curries. Tonight we had vegetable Biriyani - a delicately flavoured dish with plenty of chopped vegetables and not a trace of frozen horrid vegetables as some restaurants do. Also the Jalfrezi (lamb) - rich in onions something tantalisingly hinting at the sour... real food. Veg rice with the Biriyanis was dotted with smaller vegetables, pleasing to look at; spare Madras curry sauce went down well with the soft, tasty chapattis.Onion Bajees from this chef are particularly lovely, with a slightly nutty crunchy texture and saffron, gentle yet delish. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT ENOUGH... staff are polite and they deliver fast. FIVE STARS ALL ROUND *****. Well done, everyone. Anna.

Always use these as around the corner not to bad always food is edible, been late a couple of times but that's when they are busy

I have always got a takeaway from here in the past and enough is enough. Every time I order food from here I suffer the next day with toilet trips over 5 times in a day. Not sure what the food hygiene is like but I have a tummy ache and constantly wanting the loo. Sorry but won't be ordering here again which is a shame as you could make a real success of this takeaway.

Ordered a take away from here last night. While the chicken dishes we ok, the prawn dishes were inedible. We wasn't actually sure what it was to start with. The prawns seems to have been cooked for weeks, very dry, tough and tasteless. As for the prawn starter, you get less batter from the chip shop. My son's birthday meal looked like something from area 51. Won't be using these again.

Ordered in the shop, questioned how long the food was going to be after 50 minutes then watched them quickly make our order up. Microwaving the chicken for the main dishes and microwaving onion bhaji's. After another 10 minutes the food was ready told me they'd given me something for free for the delay. When arrived home food was cold, Nan breads burnt. Completely disgusting wouldn't recommend to any one. Steer well clear!

Boys, your food is outstanding. Your customer service is worse than useless. Tonight my wife was promised a delivered meal in 50 minutes. We had food from the Spice Garden on New Year's Eve, one of the busiest days of the year. They could deliver but due to high volume of orders it was going to take a while so i went and collected it, in doing so you get 10% off, so will be collecting from now on. The food itself was cooked to perfection and was ready right on the estimated time they gave me on the phone. I would recommend anyone in Ashford looking for a Indian Takeaway to come here.

After a couple of previous shocking experiences of customer service I went back because the food is so good. After 3 take aways I can honestly say the service has been excellent. The food has always been outstanding, no, better than that, and now the service seems to be honest and reliable. Keep this up guys and its 5 stars all the way. If you like fresh, excellent tasting Indianfood then this is the place to go, the food is beyond good, it's outstanding. I have slated the service previously but they seem to have it sorted. The food from here is fantastic. The service from here is diabolical. Previously we ordered food for delivery and were told it would be 45 minutes. After more than 2 hours of waiting I drove up there to collect it. The guy behind the counter thought our outrageous wait and spoiled evening was very funny. Tonight we ordered food for collection. Again we were told 45 minutes. We arrived exactly on time and then spent a further 50 minutes waiting for our food. Again they couldn't see the problem. I don't mind waiting 2 hours if they are busy as long as they are honest. They are perfectly happy to lie to you. Food is excellent, service is the worst I have ever encountered.

I am a bit of a curry bore..One of those people that grind their own spices and look down their noses at every single sauce on the supermarket shelves...I also tend to become very superior when sampling a spicy meal in almost every restaurant, and when it comes to takeaways I laugh at the thought that the food will be anything other than just about edible.It was last December when I bought my first meal from Spice Garden, the prompt service and low price confirmed my view that this was going to be something not to remember. An hour later my wife looked at me quizzically as I had not rubbished the food at all. I realised of course that there had been a mistake and the generous portions and great taste had been a mere aberration ; I was almost disappointed!Ten months on I am still a curry bore, yet this is the only place I get my Indian takeaways, I have tried to find something wrong, but they still have the food ready on time, the order is always complete and I regret to say the food is a rare treat; in fact I now have a few food containers sitting in the freezer..I would love to pass these off as my own, but I would not get away with it, unlike their chef I am not that gifted.To say that this is the stand out takeaway in Ashford undersells this gem. It is actually The best takeaway food I have ever eaten . And the staff are great as well.

1st well done, tasty, hot delicious, we've had 3 takeaways from here now, everyone delicious, collected today's for the 1st time as was in the area, polite and happy staff, so clean, has a 5 rating for hygien, and can see it, watched meals being cooked through the glass partition, brilliant stuff, believe the manager was the lovely man who came and appologised for the wait, but id ordered tandorri chicken and they had just opened and needed make sure it was cooked .. well i loved that, what a great thing to do, explained Very happy to wait, as long as cooked properly, was more important. Wasn't long though really about 20 mins total, the portions are huge and usually a meal for one does my other half 2 days and he is a big eater, but plentiful portions, and everythings cooked to perfection.loved it before but gone up even higher now we'll be regular loyal customers from now on .. no reason to get indian anywhere else xx Well done spice garden

Since last year or so when the best indian chef from kent started working here and the place has new owners, i've been many times. It's my absolute favourite food in the world. I've been here many times and every singles dish is great! Every dish is so tasty! The people that own it are really friendly and there's just no way i'd go to another indian when i'm around. The prices are really low as well, and they have discounts very often.

Cant recommend highly enough! Apparently the old chef from Joshan of Wye, recently moved here and runs it. So I thought I'd give it a go. Used it a few times now, food is lovely. Sunday Collection 20% off. Used it last sunday and collected, but found a mistake when I got home and I was a rice missing. So called them and they were very apologetic, and promised the rice would be delivered to me in 10-15 minutes. 10 minutes later it arrived with a very apologetic man. This is what I call service! The number of occasions that takeaways dont want to rectify their mistakes and make you come back out to them....these guys have got it right, and for that I felt that I just had to commend them for their great service and lovely food! I will definitely be recommending to my friends and family.

Consistently good! Been going here for several years and have something every month... new ownership recently but pleased to see they've been improving dishes such as sag paneer. Chicken tikka main is lovely.

Now under New ownership. Don't bother and save your money its changed ownership on 01.05.13 and the food is dreadful. The old owners were experienced knowledgeable producing excellent quality curry. The new owners are inexperienced using cheap ready made ingredients bought from Cash & Carry wholesale. See the plastic pots at the back of the kitchen if you go in to order. We tried them twice giving them a 2nd chance - but it was not good at all.
