Spice Of India in Ashford

Ordered food for 18.30 and still waiting at 19.30. Nobody answers the phone for an update. Food maybe amazing but the lack of communication is shocking!

We've been ordering food from here for the past 3 years. The food is always incredible, bang on every single time. We've never had an issue with delivery and the owner is fantastic. My personal faves: Lamb biryani Lamb aubergine curry This is our go-to date night Indian curry! 100% worth the money.

We're taking a short holiday to England and staying overnight in Ashford. We arrived late on Sunday evening and came here spontaneously via Google. We enjoyed it very much, the service was super friendly and the price/performance ratio was good. Thank you for the pleasant evening!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Spice of India, and I was not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious! The flavors were bold and complex, and the ingredients were fresh and high-quality. The service was also impeccable. The staff was attentive and friendly, and they made sure that we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it was the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal with friends. I would especially like to commend Manager Sayem and the two owners, Sebul and Sekhrul, for their excellent hospitality. They made sure that we had a wonderful dining experience. I would highly recommend Spice of India to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable meal.

The reason why I ordered a madras vindaloo hot was to have no potato. So lost out on meat in my curry to have potato put in yet again 🙄

The driver was so polite, asking how I was, if I lived 'here', do I have children, do I work, am I living here alone, is there no one to help me... when I mentioned my partner was upstairs he ran off saying thank you, goodnight! make what you will of that guys! be careful!

The restaurant is small (will approx 15 people )The food was nice and the service was excellent. Called and confirmed they was serving Halal meat and poultry. 3 people. We ordered, Poppadom x3 Starter: prawn and puri x3 Main: 1 x chicken,1 x lamb dhansak (come with rice )and 1 xprawn curry. 1 X rice 1 x keema naan Drinks 1 x cola 2 x tango Total bill £55

Hardly any meat in the food. We had to cook ourselves some dinner afterwards. I'm 42, and this was possibly the most disappointing takeaway I've ever had. Chicken was dry and the sauce tasted very bland. bad bad bad.

Only down mark was atmosphere but only because was early evening on a Monday. We had a good range of really hot tasty food. Poppadoms with four traditional dips. A keema naan and peshwari naan. Both were HUGE and really good. 1/2 spiced chicken on sizzling onions. Chicken dhansak with huge soft juicy chunks of chicken. Lamb madras with tender succulent lamb. And a piping hot crunchy vegetarian samosa. Nothing could be faulted including the service and cleanliness. We are on an overnight trip so probably won't be back,but, you all should go. Service with a smile at a good value price for piles of food

I’m not one to leave reviews but this is the worst Indian I have ever had! Its safe to say I do not understand how this restaurant is rated so highly. Me and my partner treated ourselves to quite a large order and we were incredibly disappointed, we couldn’t finish our meal. The Makhani chicken I ordered had such an overpowering taste of coconut which I hate. It is not listened in the ingredients that it contains coconut therefore is why I ordered it. If you are going to add ingredients, list them! I also could not eat more than a few mouthfuls as it was so oily. My partner ordered the Lamb rogan and it had absolutely no flavour and was basically just tomatoes and water. The popadoms we ordered were so stale you could tell they had been out for some time, so were inedible. We also received no dips for them as well! Also the samosas were just like frozen reheated soggy parcels. To top it all off we waited over an hour for this meal.. we had no more than a couple bites of and it was STONE COLD when it arrived. Please don’t waste your money here! Me and my partner have been left feeling quite unwell and unbelievably disappointed.

I live around the corner from this place and this is our go to place for a takeaway on a Friday night. We are always greeted with a smile and the food is amazing! Very quick service. Highly recommend as a place to either eat in for some dinner, or a lovely high-quality Indian as a takeaway.

Food was delivered in reasonable time. Food had nice flavours, but everything was cold. So didn’t make it very enjoyable. First time ordering from here, and will probably be my last, I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but, was it worth the money? Unfortunately not

got my order and wasn't quite happy with it, spoke to the shop and they was verry polite and friendly and sorted out the problem no issues, would defiantly reccomend

Everything we ordered was delicious, big portions and warm on arrival. It took a while to arrive but you can't grumble when the quality is great.

Email to state that the food was going to be delivered (I have two young children in bed and I’m a single mum). They they sent a notification for me to collect, after trying to contact them for half an hour, someone answered and apologised and said they would deliver. 1 hour had passed and I got a call to ask if I was collecting my food. I explained and they said they don’t deliver to my address even though it was accepted.

We've had takeaway many times and is always lovley good choices on the menu food is always excellent price is good and arrives in good time. We have now tried the restaurant and it is the best Indian in town. The seats are really comfortable lots of choice on the menu, there was 7 of us all having something different and we all said it was good so whatever you order you will be happy. I had the veggie bararine which was really nice and came with a side vegetable curry which was a nice touch. Portions are plentiful we were all stuffed afterwards! Staff were really friendly and attentive and made the atmosphere feel homely which was really welcoming We had decided to go to the restaurant for a meal out to celebrate a birthday and already want to go again thankyou very much to all the staff we all had a really nice evening great pace to eat in or takeaway will be doing both again soon if you haven't tried it yet you must go!

The guy was rude, food was microwaved. Waste of money. They were literally chucking the cutlery in the table. Not recommended lol

Easy to order excellent food and service

Keema Naan had little to no filling - disappointing when you're paying extra for something that you don't receive. Tikka Masala had barely any flavor and could've honestly made a better one at home with jarred sauce.

This was the first time of ordering from Spice of India, and we were not disappointed. it arrived hot, tasty, and filling, a very nice meal. The naan bread was delicious, the shop bought variety are no competition to the genuine thing. My husband does not have a big appetite so ordering one of rice and one of mushroom, was the right thing to do, as there was plenty for us both. We will use Spice of India again. Thank you.

I ordered the food through Just Eat on Mother's day at 6pm. The food was supposed to be delievered around 7.30pm but it didn't arrive until 9.10pm. It was cold and the chicken was tough. Chicken madras had only had couple of bits of chicken in it, it was mainly just sauce. I have ordered from Spice of India many times before and the last couple of times the delievery time was ridiculous and the food wasn't up to a standard which is a shame as we used to love this restaurant.

Ordered at half 7 Food was meant to be delivered at 9. After calling the restaurant 10 times I had no answer and no delivery instructions on just eat. When reported my delivery was then changed to half 9. My food arrived at 9.45ish cold curry, cold rice, cold bread, cold pakora, only thing that was warm was the salad!!! That had sweated in the bag. Asked restaurant for a refund and had nothing back. Terrible food. Terrible service.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Ashford, I eat here quite regularly and have never had a bad meal, everyone i have recommended it to have throughly enjoyed it, the owner and staff are always polite and very helpful

Over 1 hour late on delivery. Food stone gold. Naan Bread burnt, just awful. Paid 50 quid for an inedible microwave meal . Shoulda and will stick with Tesco in future

Sadly about 20 minutes late but well worth the wait! Tried a few different things on menu this time and amazing! Looking forward to next order
