The best restaurants in Saxon Shore Ashford South East

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting as part of a walk. A stunning pub, with an amazing garden, big fan of the range of events on offer.

Fantastic dining experience ! Atmosphere is warm and inviting, service is exceptional, food was delicious and but limited menu, I believe they will bring more in the future. And I have had noodle that was absolutely fantastic with the soup combination. Highly recommend for anyone looking for trying new dishes.

The bistro was shut for a while, now they are back and it is worth coming to pay a visit.

Fantastic stop over for us in our motorhome before an early morning tunnel crossing. Great food, service and live music too! Wish we lived closer!

This place is incredible, deserves all 5 stars. The service was so friendly and food was mouth watering. The price for the fresh family made Italian food was amazing, it shocked me the place wasn’t packed! Cannot recommend the venison spaghetti enough 🤤

A really lovely and quirky place. Really admire the decor and the little touches, including a decanter of port in the room. The breakfast was delicious and very good quality. Would highly recommend a stay here and will definitely stay again if down in Kent.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Because that's what you'll get if you eat there. Revolting

Lovely country pub for meeting and eating. Very varied menu and large portions, cooked excellently, with attentive service from friendly staff.

Lovely little local with a good selection of excellent food

What a great shop. We went because the powers that be closed our local Dymchurch butchers shop and we wanted to see what Aldington had to offer. We weren't disappointed. Friendly staff and so well stocked up with meat as well as ready to cook meals, kebabs, cheese, wine, gravies. The pork stakes are really thick and the lamb steaks where a good size and had the bone taken out - bonus. Forgot to ask about the fish, didn't see any though. We'll go back or put an order in by phone as they deliver if it's more than £25. The guy serving us also lives in The Bay and gave us more direct directions back but we must have taken a wrong turn. It was a nice day so it didn't really matter.

Delicious parsnip soup with sourdough for lunch accompanied by the best banana smoothie I have ever had! This is our all time coffee shop / tea room.

After reading such great reviews we decided to try out the Walnut Tree after a change of hands just over a year ago. We had very high hopes and the menu read deliciously! Unfortunately and maybe it was just an off day to give benefit of the doubt but the starters were poor. The brie was like.a hollow husk with no cheese we think it may have all melted away. Roast was OK but beef overcooked and veg had been nuked. Deserts simply mediocre at best. Setting is nice and pleasant and staff friendly. Like I say could have been an off day for the chef but we would hesitate to return with food of this quality.

Great local pub with a charming landlady! Delicious cakes and pastry’s, great choice of local beers and ciders!

Only went in for a couple of pints early doors on a Monday. Was well presented and bar staff friendly.

Always a great place to come, in any season!
