We thoroughly enjoyed visiting as part of a walk. A stunning pub, with an amazing garden, big fan of the range of events on offer.

The bistro was shut for a while, now they are back and it is worth coming to pay a visit.

We had a really wonderful experience here. We turned up with our two young children (aged 1 and 3) for lunch on a quiet Friday, and fell in love with the beautiful interior of the pub and cosy log fire. The menu was full of delicious sounding Italian dishes, but was potentially a bit too sophisticated for the kids! So one of the owners offered to make the kids anything from scratch! We opted for a basic pasta and tomato sauce with grilled chicken and steamed veg, and the kids absolutely LOVED it. We tried a bit too and it was so tasty! The children were so content that we managed to have two courses ourselves- a wonderful turkey and roast chestnut soup followed by a cod and a meat pancake dish- and they were really enjoyable. We felt very welcomed and were really well looked after. We will definitely be returning and can’t wait to sit outside and make use of the playground in warmer weather.

A nice warm welcome from the friendly barman who certainly has a vast knowledge about alcoholic drinks. And a vast amount of tattoos. The food was delicious but expensive to compared to other pubs. I would go back but wouldn’t be able to afford to eat here on a regular basis. I would have given you 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable.

What a great shop. We went because the powers that be closed our local Dymchurch butchers shop and we wanted to see what Aldington had to offer. We weren't disappointed. Friendly staff and so well stocked up with meat as well as ready to cook meals, kebabs, cheese, wine, gravies. The pork stakes are really thick and the lamb steaks where a good size and had the bone taken out - bonus. Forgot to ask about the fish, didn't see any though. We'll go back or put an order in by phone as they deliver if it's more than £25. The guy serving us also lives in The Bay and gave us more direct directions back but we must have taken a wrong turn. It was a nice day so it didn't really matter.

Made to feel warm and welcome from the moment we walked through the door. The building it's self it's beautiful. The food was lovely and I had the best chai latte I have had in a long time. Our waitress Danielle was very helpful and was kind and smiley. I will definitely be going for lunch there more often.

Thankfully, now a 'Freehouse' offering a good range of locally produced beers, lager and ciders from the cask (steels) at very competitive prices. All the aforementioned and with a selection of delicious homemade 'gourmet' sausage rolls, chutneys, quiches and cakes to satisfy any discerning palette. A beautiful interior with plenty of space and comfortable seating to relax and enjoy a peaceful pint or glasses of wine. Recommended.

The quality of the accomodation is second to none. Quirky rooms and very interesting to stay in. Great quality bed and room. Great attention to detail. Even complimentary port and fudge. The room wasn't too noisy as the pub is a high quality mainly food venue downstairs. After arrival we ventured downstairs. Very good quality food and not stupid prices. Breakfast clearly very high quality local fresh ingredients. Generous portions. Couldn't manage the yogurt and granola as well. Coffee very good also. Staff very friendly. Casper who served us breakfast very helpful and friendly.an asset to the pub! Will definitely go back
