Lovely, cosy atmosphere. Food was great and host and staff were friendly and welcoming. Over all fantastic night. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had Sunday lunch here, the food was delicious and the staff were amazing. We have an unusual allergen in our group and they went above and beyond to ensure substitutions could be made and the meal enjoyed.

We visited The White Horse for my mother-in-laws birthday dinner on Sunday. We were a table of 8 (plus a 1 year old) and whilst ordering our food with the owner he made it very clear that he wasn’t impressed that we were all having different items on the menu.. he informed us that for tables of 8 and above they ask for a pre-order and deposit yet nobody had asked us for this at the time of booking. We would have of course been fine with that, had he known beforehand. However the fact he mentioned this (interrupting us whilst we were ordering) in our opinion was not very professional. Maybe a conversation you should have with your staff? Food was average and priced similar to other restaurants in the area that are of a much higher quality. Overall, not a bad pub for a drink but we won’t be returning anytime soon for food.

Had a lovely lunch with our friends great menu with enough food for all tastes. The food was excellent as was the service. We will be going back very soon.

Great pub great pub food great atmosphere great staff. This is a small pub with a great impact lovey friendly staff and great Quality food. Some of the specials are by pricey but the quality is there. Nice selection of beers and ales and just a lovely alround feel of the place.

Took wife and grandchildren for Saturday evening. Proprietor welcome was great. Staff were attentive and helpful. Menu was good as were the goodly portions of all the meals we observed around us, and at our table, which were not overloaded with chips but wholesome food.

Fantastic food and welcome for a large family dinner. Staff were amazing with our three under 5s and a 8month old baby. Couldnt do enough to make our visit top notch. Food was just amazing, and very good value.

This place is Wonderful, have been here twice now and no doubt there will be more visits. The welcome, the ambience, the staff, the landlord and landlady and of course the food are nothing short of marvellous. We stumbled across the pub a few weeks ago and were welcomed as if we were locals. Can't fault the place, it is a real gem and thanks for all of the hard work in making it the place it is. We went on a lovely sunny Sunday and sat outside. Lovely environment, good singer performing. We all had the roast dinner, presented beautifully but unfortunately all our potatoes were so overcooked they were hard to cut into so we had to scrape the soft potato from the middle. All other vegetables very good. Three of us had roast chicken but the portions were tiny, barely one full slice, which was disappointing for £16.95. I imagine our experience was not typical, it was a very busy Sunday at the pub, but a bit embarrassing as we’d invited friends to join us.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch with excellent food and friendly service. In fact it was one of the best roast dinners we have had eating out. Will definitely go back again .

I have been a vegetarian since birth and a vegan for the past 5 years, I went to the the white horse Pub in Bilsington Uk and asked for a vegan lasagna, when it arrived I asked again if it was the vegan lasagna only to have the waitress dump the plate in front of me and walk off. After trying the provided dish it became apparent it was not what I ordered and we later confirmed with the staff that it was in fact a pork lasagne. When one of our group (admittedly angry as this dinner was to celebrate his engagement) confronted the staff member that took our order and made the mistake she was more concerned about her feelings being hurt because he swore at her (and immediately appologised) while this all took place i was left with the pork lasagne in front of me for 15 minutes, rub salt in the wound why don't you. To top this the chef and the manager came over to confront the member of our party that swore and told me "unfortunately we can't turn back time and make it so you never ate it" choosing to brush me off and ignore the incident that led to the anger and focus on the anger itself, the member of staff that made the mistake never apologized and they still tried to charge us for the meal. Deeply unhappy with the service and worried for any other vegan/vegetarian or anyone with a severe allergy. If you do want to risk it, make sure you know where your epipen is.

We brought an elderly friend for lunch today. She is partially sighted and has walking difficulties and can be a bit brusque! The staff were absolutely lovely with her, changing some of the ingredients of the lunchtime breakfast and checking everything was to her liking. This was a rare outing for our friend and the attitude of your staff made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience for her. Many thanks!

Really pleased to say value for money sunday lunch. Portions were great , service great ! Must try the suet steak & ale homemade pudding fantastic. Fabulous Easter Sunday lunch with family. My third visit to this little gem of a pub. The Sunday roasts are absolutely fantastic, decent portion size and of a quality that puts all the other local rivals to shame. What really makes this place though are the owners and their staff. Very attentive service and always a little chat with each of their customers throughout the meal service. A family run pub where you’re made to feel part of their extended family during your visit. Save room for their desert menu too 🤤 Thank you to the team for another exceptional meal and visit.

What a brilliant night! Quite a few of us went to the Drag night, entertainment was amazing, food was tasty, the flow of drinks was good, considering how many people there we never had to wait. This was an amazing night, so might fun, we laughed so much. Its great that a local country pub did this event, cant wait to go next year! The staff was friendly and did a good job. The "chicken Snitzel" is clearly chicken parm. Really think they need a chef that knows their food. Or whoever writes their menu needs to educate themselves

Trying to get home to Hythe via the country lanes as the M20 was shut we were pleased to come accross this pleasant country pub. It was valentines day but early evening so they fitted us in. The welcome and service was friendly. The pub atmosphere was cosy although we were seated alone in a back room. The Valentines Day menu had good options and we enjoyed our meals. We will return soon to try their full menu which has a lot of choice.

For a week day the bar was buzzing with life and chatter . A few dogs one in dog friendly dining area and one in bar . Lovely open fire and won’t lie would have applied my backside there had it not been occupied 😱. Service good and nice music . Thoroughly enjoyed the food . Let’s nice to find nice places around lively areas to walk .

We came here with Jasper, our Dalmatian and were seated in a very pleasant part of the pub. The pub is very dog friendly and they have extended the seating area for dog companions. My Wife had the beef and I had the Pork Sunday roast dinners. Both of which were excellent. Superb vegetables and the pork and beef were very good quality. Yorkshire puddings were fresh and warm. Then we went onto deserts. My Wife had the cheesecake and I hade the berry crumble, both of which were excellent. I was sorely tempted to have the bread and butter pudding as well, but that would have been greedy I suppose. I was drinking Harvey's, which went down well. All in all, a very palatable and relaxing Sunday lunch.

Absolute gem of a find whilst running away from the horrendous rain,we had a lovely welcome and the food was fabulous not your general break brothers food (if you know you know) we were given huge portions of very tasty home cooked food. Definitely can’t wait to get lost in Bilsington again.

Had Christmas get together for 12 people. We were in the room off main bar which was warm, cozy and festive. Food was first class, as always. Staff really attentive, our waitress was so friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend at any time of year.

We know this pub is good, but it was excelled tonight. There is now a back dinning room which provided the best settings for the 17 of us. Food, delicious and I had to ask for a doggy bag. I we ish I could have ate more because it was so delicious but it wasn't overcrowded plates it was just spot on.

We booked our works Christmas meal here for 25 people. We pre ordered all of our 3 courses in advance so they could plan. From the very first moment we arrived we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome. Our table looked really christmassey with crackers & name tags with our food choice on the reverse which was a great idea. Our food was first class, piping hot and delicious. All the staff and waiting staff were amazing & huge compliments to the chef & his team too. We cannot recommend this Pub & Restaurant enough. We will definitely be booking with them again. Great quintessential English pub. We visited the White Horse on 3 evenings whilst staying in the area. This is one of the best pubs we have visited for some time with a nice atmosphere and great staff. The food was excellent with a good varied menu (the meat pie highly recommended) The Christmas decorations were amazing! Well done!!!

Fantastic pub/restaurant, I've never been disappointed. Great selection of ales and lagers coupled with great food from a quite extensive menu so plenty of choice. With a group of friends meeting for an early Christmas lunch, this lovely old pub provided a warm and especially Christmassy atmosphere.
