Great soup (with a kick to it) and well buttered bread. Thanks!

I got the chance to visit this excellent cafe whilst in Ashford. The staff are charming and the food is divine.Freshly made dishes very good value and all done whilst helping young people gain a qualification.

We really like this cafe.the staff are lovely and the coffee and food are good. Plus the proceeds go to charity. It was great to be able to go back after the wretched lock down.

The income from this cafe goes back in to working with the disabled community and needs local support, grabbed a cuppa and cake for £2.50 whilst registering our little one. All the cakes are home made and delicious!

On the top floor of the Gateway library, this has good seating with views over the Memorial Gardens. My wife and I like to have a light lunch here after Adult Education classes.

As a meat eater I very much enjoyed this restaurant with my vegetarian son & girlfriend. Service mostly good although wine ordered with main meal never arrived, I guess as they were busy. I am not a fan of restaurants who put the tip on the bill as this should be optional

Since discovering this cafe a couple of weeks ago I've been a number of times, for different reasons. This cafe is part of the Ashford Gateway Plus building, which is basically a cross between a library and a Job Centre training centre (on the lower floors). I often work from home, so sometimes it's often nice to get out of the house and find a cafe to work from. I've spent a few days working from the cafe and it's a very nice environment to work in, not very crowded, friendly staff and decent coffee. The lunch menu is relatively ordinary but always good quality food and presented nicely. They also have a specials board which often has things to spice up the standard offerings. A baguette or sandwich, with a salad garnish, will set you back about 3 pounds or less, depending on the filling. Most dishes are about the same. Decent cup of latte (not the best I've ever had but very far from the worst!) is less than 2 pounds and with the loyalty card you'll get a free coffee after having 8. On a Saturday they're not open all day but of late they've been open between 10am and 2pm, serving things a little off menu, which is great. Last weekend there was buffet which featured some interesting dishes that I'd associate more with a Tapas style meal. It was brilliant and not only did I like it but so did my 5 year old daughter (who is already turning into a little foody). With reasonable prices for decent food and drink in a nice atmosphere, the cherry on the cake is that this is run by a social enterprise aiming to help those with disabilities gain work experience and life skills. Well worth a visit with your family, with friends or just on your own.

Had one of the most delicious lunches there. Pitta with shallow fried pork and yoghurt! excellent cooking, friendly staff and an incredible opportunity for those with disabilities to gain work experience.

We are three friends having a catch up. they were very accommodating to our dietary needs, Dressing for salad on side and no truffle oil . Good coffee. We weren't hustled to leave promptly after our lunch so could catch up in a convivial atmostphere

Went there expecting to get food and decent beer. NO Food. Looks like pub is up for sale with little interest. Beer was OK, but pub noisy due to football. Definitely one to avoid. Went to Eureka for a nice curry instead,

Food was great and atmosphere was nice. Service was friendly albeit a bit slow although this seemed to be due to understaffing.
