The Pig & Sty in Ashford

We came for my friends birthday meal last night. We all had a lovely time. Food was delicious and the service was amazing. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back. I had the gut loving bowl with halloumi and vegan apple crumble with ice cream.

Visited the pig and sty for birthday celebrations as staying locally. Booking a table is recommended as the place was fully booked. We had 3 courses and each one was amazing...! Plenty of veg and meat with the roasts... highly recommend. Staff were amazing as well and couldn't do enough for us. Don't know the young lads name behind the bar but he made us feel very welcome with our after lunch drinks. My partner said it was the best pornstar martini she's had... so hats off to him. The bar was a lovely quiet place to enjoy a drink and was separated from the dining area. A good selection of drinks and food. Can't find any fault at all. Would highly recommend... just make sure you book if at the weekend!

Excellent menu, friendly staff, lovely location overlooking horses in the field . Cant fault the place.. also a huge wine list too😋 I'm addition, the wine list now shows if its vegan, sustainable, organic or homegrown....THE best wine list I've seen 🙂

Expecting great things from this place, but ignored on arrival by bar staff chatting, and food very average really. Large restaurant, very loud with chatter when we were there and i felt cold even with a jumper on. The 'rest room' sign pointed to the wrong area. Had to get up and ask for my bill as couldn't see any staff. Very expensive for 2 meals and a few drinks so came away feeling overall, dissapointed. On exiting the place turning right, you cant see round the bend, almost taken out by speeding car, i was glad to get home in one piece.

Good service and generally good food slightly offset by being above average pricing (Sunday roast £21 for single course). The Sunday roast was served with generic gourmet gravey, this is an umami style sauce ie it is not actually beef, lamb etc etc. One of the sharing dishes was a flatbread from the pizza oven, this was excellent. With a beautifully leoparded bottom. Yes would go again, advise booking it was very busy

Food was very nice although the portion sizes on the starters was ridiculous, 4 meatballs, 2 beef croquettes and 5 chicken wings for £20 lol. Also felt mugged off when 4 pots of garlic mayo came to £8, esp when the waitress took the first two basically full pots of garlic mayo away then we got two more pots without even knowing its £2 a pop. Won't be returning.

the most beautiful location this pub/restaurant is a rare find. Beautiful interiors, delicious food and wonderful service. Sam our server was polite, happy and efficient. We had Tuesday steak deal. The filet was one of best I’ve had in UK for years, we will return. They have a magnificent pizza oven and serve sourdough pizza. A wide range of no. Alcoholic drinks presented beautifully.

Fabulous menu and great location, with lots of individual eating options. The menu is incredible and after trying the lamb pitta starter on a previous visit I upgraded to my main this visit!! The very patient staff were very helpful and accommodated all our requests. We will be back!!

We celebrated our anniversary here and couldn’t have asked for a better night out. Food was great quality and reasonably priced and our hostess Jade was great. Will be coming again!

Very friendly staff and asked if we had any allergies which my grandson is dairy free so the waitress helped him with what food was suitable for him

Consistently tasty and fresh with attentive and well trained staff. Their Sunday Roasts are by far the tastiest I have had in Kent for a very long time. The meat is flavourful and well cooked with the vegetables being tender and tasty and Yorkshire pudding light and crispy. There is plenty of gravy too!! Highly recommend this place

This was a top notch Sunday lunch, 4 of us had roasts, 1 had a pizza and 1 had the vegan roast, absolutely no complaints at all the quality was excellent and the food was very well cooked. We had a selection of starters too and they were all just as delicious as the mains.

Shared a delicious pizza from their oven. Warm sunny lunchtime. Beautifully decorated and the garden fabulous Pricing - I would say on the high end of the market but ambience worth it Noticed a fine separate function room. Will definitely go again

Been here a few times and it's always good. The service and food are fantastic. The only minor thing is that the food does feel like it takes a while to arrive but that could be because it's busy and it's it's all cooked fresh.

We have been since we had good references to try the beers and the pizza promotion. We have eaten pizza and calzone, which was very delicious. The guys are super nice and attentive, they gave us a chance to try the beers since we didn't know which ones to order.

Went to dinner here and the food and staff were really lovely. I had the pulled lamb for starter and the chicken kebab for main. These two dishes were generous and full of flavour. For dessert, I had banoffee pie - it was the best dessert I have ever eaten out ! My only criticism would be the Prosecco - it had a funny after taste. They need to get a nicer one in 👍 Would I go back - definitely and would I recommend- absolutely 👍

Gemma was an absolute delight! Made sure our party was very well looked after. Food was lovely. I’m afraid my eyes were way too big for my belly and ended up having a doggy bag for later. Big thank you to Gemma❤️

We literally pulled in off the road as we were going past it. Great find, fantastic menu, so much choice we all struggled to decide which of the great singing dishes we would have. The freshly baked sour dough pizzas smelled really good too. Only downside is there is a 12.5% service charge added, which in a £100 bill you feel. It is discretionary, but I paid it.

We allways enjoy this place. It is light and airy and on a hot day (yes we did have one) it is relatively cool and welcoming. The staff are friendly and we give a special mention to Gemma who was friendly, helpful and attentive throughout. Food was excellent freshly cooked and well presented. Will be back.

Delicious Sunday lunch and wonderful staff (Lily) who looked after me, my husband and baby. We both had the roast beef, cooked perfectly and generous vegetables.

We regularly visit being local we enjoy the food staff always friendly great atmosphere our favourite waitress Eloise always greets us with a friendly face she is adorable.

Sam gave us brilliant service, the best I have ever had eating out. Will most definitely be coming back. I came for dinner on a first date and it went brilliantly.

Lovely place with beautiful garden for drinks overlooking fields. Food was OK but my chicken kebab wasn't particularly nice and was cold by time it reached me. Incredibly poor service throughout with first drinks taking almost 30 minutes to arrive. This was poor as we were an early booking due to having children with us & hardly any customers in on arrival. Took nearly 3 hours for a 2 course dinner. Customer service needs to improve. I have also heard this from several others who have visited. They didn't charge for the chicken kebab when I complained & removed service charge but the poor customer experience is not acceptable.

Food was great no complaints about the quality of food. 2.5 hours wait for main course to be brought out. 25 minutes wait for drinks. Told 10 more minutes which turned into 25 minutes, very bad service.

We have been to this restaurant on many occasions, but yesterday we were very disappointed with the meal I ordered a calzone as I love this meal but yesterday it came out warm not hot and had virtually empty just a lot of cheese . Very disappointed

Absolutely lovely gastro dining, the atmosphere, service, and food are excellent, easily the best place to relax and enjoy the lovely surroundings, food and wine.

Great food, well priced, but whatever you do don't sit outside. They have a terrible system where guests that eat outside are less important and don't get any service. Literally order at the bar, get your own cutlery and no table service.... But oh, price of the food is the same lol. Really didn't appreciate that, all guests dining in your establishment should be serviced otherwise I'll just my own roast at home in the garden, same bloody thing! 😂.

We have been coming for a long time to the Pig and Sty but on the last 2 occasions the wait for drinks,food and dessert was awful . They seem to have had enough staff so not sure why we had to wait so long. Shame as we won't be coming back soon.

My wife and I were celebrating a special occasion. The Pig & Sty made a very pleasant change from the usual takeaway menu's. What looks like a quaint little country pub from the outside. Transforms it's self into a well perportioned restaurant with outside sitting area overlooking a field that had horses grazing for the nicer weather. We really appreciated the food and wind were as far as possible locally sourced. The menu took into consideration all choices dietary options. The wine list consisted of a good selection of locally produced vintages. Overall we had a very pleasant evening made all the more pleasurable my our server George who was attentive without hovering over our shoulder trying to rush us. We booked our table for 6 pm by the time we were ready to leave around 7.30 pm. I'm glad to say the restaurant was almost full. I would highly recommend that you give the Pig & Sty a try

We recently dined at The Pig and Sty in Ashford and had a fantastic experience. I ordered the chicken pie, which was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. My wife had the burger, which she described as juicy and delicious. Our waiter, George, provided first-class service, making the meal even more enjoyable. We highly recommend The Pig and Sty for its excellent food and exceptional service.

Sam was absolutely fantastic, he was charming and charismatic and the cherry drop was phenomenal. Amazing experience and will be back again

Great place to eat for a treat but on the more expensive side for us. Especially as 12.5% is added as a service charge even though it says discretionary it should be at the customers discretion to add not take off! Food was excellent and our server George was attentive but not over the top. Atmosphere was good and premises well maintained. Please remove discretionary added service charge it’s intimidating if you feel obliged but can’t really afford it. Staff should be paid accordingly not rely on tips

Waitress taking the order did not write anything down - 3 starters arrived but the 4th arrived after everyone else had finished - there was some sort of cock-up with the order but no-one came to the table to tell us. My Sunday Roast - potatoes over cooked and the whole thing smothered with gravy. My wife's Pizza was undercooked and the pastry was soggy. There were mistakes in the drinks order.

I only popped in for a bit of food on my way through, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the customer service was there. I was served by Sam and he was amazing - great customer service, and nothing was too much, he was attentive and polite. Literally could not fault him. Thank you. Definitely planning to go back - food, environment & staff are worth it!

Visiting the local area and opted to try The Pig & Sty. Received a warm welcome on arrival and was looked after by George. He was professional, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Food great . Apparently this waiter with the tash seems to think he can add service charge on top without asking ? Very rude when I wasn’t going to give extra service charge when it’s already been added once in the bill and wasn’t happy with my sevice by him. So 2 fillet steaks 2 cokes cost £99 no fillet steaks are £35 each =£70 plus pepper corn sauce and 2 drinks comes £85 . Not £99 Don’t appreciate being over charged.

Came for a family visit, six of us in total including a child. It's a lovely space to eat in, great ambience and the service was fast and friendly. Food was top notch, everyone finishing their plates with smiles on their face. My steak was cooked perfectly.

First time at 'The Pig & Sty', hopefully not the last. Met friends for lunch, pub appeared to be popular with other small groups. Main restaurant in an attached high ceiling large room looking out to fields behind. Varied menu, although difficult to read, needed to be printed a bit clearer. Food was fantastic as was the service. Everyone very happy on our table.
