We had a fantastic evening! We were drinking the Matches beer (& espresso martinis) with nachos and burgers - I had the vegan burger, which was amazing! Defo the best place to be! Even more so if you're served by Harrison and get to speak with Jodie, they are fab!! 😀

Really nice sports bar, nice cheap food and good drinks. Staff are really nice and sociable.

Been coming here for a while and it’s always a great environment to watch the footie with friends! Was in watching the arsenal v wolves game on Saturday and was great to have Lloyd looking after us!

I come into matches a lot and I’m always happy with service, Millie in particular is always helpful and very attentive. Makes coming into matches a great experience.

We've been dying for a bar like this in town for many years. Matches is the perfect sports bar! More screens than you can shake a stick at, good seats, n64, playstation, shuffleboard, pool, beer pong, karaoke, the lot. We've booked the VIP room a few times now and you really do get top service. Keep an eye out for Jodie who is always at hand. The food is great too. Love the match burger and loaded fries, plus the different options for snacks and light bites. Really helped when wash down by the large selection of craft beers as well as your usual premiums. Your table gets cleared almost as often as you finish your drink, as the staff are always on it. Great service! Hmmmm what else? The toilets are well maintained, there's an electronic dartboard, children and pets are welcome, and the atmosphere for football games is electric. At night, despite not many sports being on at this time, the place is vibrant and full of people living their best. I believe there is another Match Sportsbar in Canterbury, which I'm yet to attend but will definitely be making my way there soon. Thanks all. i visited matches on a date night. i got served by jack davis, he was so kind and friendly. overall great service.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere, Jack and Mia were absolute gems helped throughout the night! All staff was amazing but shout out to them!

Decent food with good service. A huge number of screens to view. Slightly loud, so it's not really easy to hold conversations. Generally decent, though.

Brilliant bar great atmosphere.

Great sports bar which has good games and variety of drinks. My only disapointment was the chicken atips that I had. Last time i had them they were really decent and suculent chicken but this time they were realy disapointing, dry and not like the ones i had before. I would not recommend the chicken strips.

Amazing service and amazing food. Chicken was cooked to perfection well down Chef (man with glasses and tatts) had to get good food nowadays .will definitely be returning

Don't bother. Only 1 dartboard, 1 shuffleboard, 1 pool table and some outdated TV screens with N64 controllers. First come first serve on the darts/pool etc and people just stay on as long as they want, because you can't book. It's not a "sports bar" it's a bar, and not a very good one.

Decent location, good interior and a nice pint at a fair price.

We didn't have food here but we had drinks and booked a karaoke room. Our server was Heather and she was amazing! She was so lovely. Her and the manager agreed to let us stay in the karaoke room a little longer. I did however slip down the stairs (my own fault) and Heather helped me and patched me up. I will be forever grateful for how welcoming Heather made me feel. And the rest of the team to be fair! Thanks guys! Will definitely come back ... after I've swallowed my pride from making a fool of myself falling down the stairs and blubbering!

Not bad. Decent Guinness. Great for sport, obviously. Pretty lively. Have never eaten there.

Booked the Matchbox room for a 30th birthday - there was 17 of us in total and I paid for karaoke and beer pong. I couldn’t fault it at all! Communication with the team was brilliant, I was even able to drop off a cake and a few balloons beforehand. The room had a really nice, cosy vibe but spacious enough to move about, the beer pong was a fun icebreaker that included a 4 pint jug of beer of our choice and karaoke had a huge choice of songs to get everyone up. I didn’t catch the managers name but she was an excellent host and made sure we had a great time 😊 All of the bar staff were great too, as usual! Despite the sore heads the next day, everyone said they’d had a brilliant time and would do it again. I knew we’d have fun but it exceeded my expectations! Would 100% recommend this to friends

The best place to go for a group booking. The service was outstanding and the buffet of food was delicious. We had a great Christmas night. Thank you especially to Jodie, manager for her help and support during the whole evening.

An hour after ordering and checking with staff twice the food still hadn’t arrived, such a shame as it’s a great environment. Unfortunately 1st impressions count and this was a very bad experience will be thinking twice before visiting again.

Great experience for the Arsenal West ham game (despite the loss..) Food was nice and fresh, reasonably priced drinks and amazing atmosphere on game day. Would recommend.

best karaoke place I have been to

The best gem in Ashford. Great service, friendly and accommodating staff happy to help create a fun atmosphere for any event. We slumped in yesterday feeling let down from an event that did not meet our expectations and the staff, atmosphere and available amenities truly turned our night around. We were able to make a last minute booking of the available match box for kareoke. Amazingly spacious room made to feel cosy that was privately tucked away for our tired voices to sing our hearts out! Staff were amazing and checked in on us to ensure we had drinks and food that we needed. Disco ball added to the atmosphere as well as working air con. I have already booked to return. Great price for what we get. Thank you to all the staff for making our night one to remember!

Staff very friendly, helped me find a gluten free option. The nachos were very good and the prices reasonable.

Best place in town to go out and watch football. To be honest, this place needs to be twice the size and would still get filled for the big games. Food menu really good. Probably come here once a fortnight (whenever Arsenal are on Sky)

Pretty quick service, considering it was a Friday night. Really like the decor and has a very good amount of TV screens showing sports. Yes, I would recommend it

Usually a big fan of Matches but went a couple of weekends back and 2 pints (Heineken and Inch's) cost £16.60! Not sure if that was a Saturday price thing or if all the pints cost over £8 now...annoying as it's probably the best place in Ashford to go out! I'll have to go to bloody Spoons now, cheers lads

Went here to watch the women's world cup game vs Australia. The atmosphere is okay, it's very loud and there's just a bit too much going on for me, so many screens that you end up switching your eyes from one to another. Didn't eat but the food looked decent enough. Almost £6 per pint is a bit steep. I would suggest it's more tailored to a younger audience.

Nice place for a few drinks, good price, friendly bar staff, nice decor has a pool table. Drinks selection is okay. They usually have sports matches on and you can book your own booth. Nice bar

Not bad, looks trendy enough but for a sports bar it's not very practical as there's not many seats and the football plays second fiddle to the 'bar' aspect. Could have been a lot better

A welcome addition to Ashford. A great place for a pint and a spot of lunch and a lively bar in the evening. All sports shown including BT. Great beer selection and the food that arrived to the table next to us made me jealous - we'll be back and I'll be having some loaded fries next time!

Awesome night in the matchbox karaoke room! Staff are lovely and very attentive, had yummy food and drinks served to the room all evening. Karaoke system is great and easy to use. Highly recommend, amazing place!

Best burger I have EVER had 🍔👌🏽10/10. Spot on with everything. Plus we got to play classic Mario Kart and Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64. Could life get any better🙌🔥💯🤘🏽🍻.

Popped in as another cafe nearby was closed and read the breakfast here was good. It did not disappoint. Greeted warmly by Georgia, who was lovely and friendly. Big breakfast is a big breakfast!! Will come again. 5*

The staff and security where amazing lost my dad's wedding ring they search the whole pub found it when I got home was in my jacket hood but they done everything to help me find It so friendly and made me feel like a famous person the way they stepped up one of the best pub in Ashford made me feel is I was family

Probably the best place to go in Ashford if you want a fun evening. Retro games, sports, great food and decent beer choices.

Chicken burger meal was delicious the best I have had and chips and sides were lovely too , nice atmosphere ,not to noisy, very clean,and staff are happy and friendly would defo go back, wished I lived more central to town as would come here more often .

A great bar for a social night out! We’ve never been to actually watch the sports, but typically a good venue with a large group in the outdoor seating area! The cocktails and selections are also pretty good!

First time at Matches Sport Bar to watch football. Plenty and of television and staff polite, friendly and efficient especially a young lady called Georgia who had an injury of some sort and still could not do enough for you she is a credit to the bar.

My second visit now, the food was lovely again, nice menu and very tasty and well priced. The atmosphere is good, a nice place to drink, eat and catch up with a friend.

Very welcoming bar a lot going on.very busy at bar. Don't like head wear very stricked bouncers on door. To many tv's service great.

Great place to watch some sports, be lucky to get a seat in here anytime after 430pm. Great selection of beers and spirits, haven't had food so can't comment.

Love this bar. Ashford has needed a place on trend to drink in and this bar provides that. Plenty of tv's to watch the sports. Lovely, friendly staff. There's a great mix of all ages that drink in there. Would highly recommend 👍

Awesome venue, food isn't bad at all, prices for drinks reasonable too. Well worth a visit to watch a variety of sports. Private booths are great too.

Its a nice bar and the atmosphere was good however when I tried to pay in cash they didn't have any change (only needed£4 change) and I didn't have a card with me.. awkward moment. Thankfully I had friends who had their card but it was 10pm on a Saturday.. that's some bad planning
