Went there expecting to get food and decent beer. NO Food. Looks like pub is up for sale with little interest. Beer was OK, but pub noisy due to football. Definitely one to avoid. Went to Eureka for a nice curry instead,

Pub with no food, very empty lack of any atmosphere. Apparently have music nights but that's an acquired taste!. Who chooses them do they really fulfil customer expectations of the regulars. Tatty beer garden and small kids play area with few battered toys so definitely not for families. No consistency of bar staff hence no commitment to customer service. Landlady seems disinterested and that does not seem to promote staff motivation. Probably a pub on its last legs in an area where others have much more to offer. Could be a nice family pub with the right management but currently I would suggest don't bother when better local alternatives with food good customer service, management and staff who care. There is clearly no leadership, team motivation or desire to improve which is a shame as it seems former landlord made the effort. Give it a miss I won't be going back.

It's local so convenient but in future I'll travel a bit further. The place is just a drinking room, with no atmosphere. No food board any more. Seeing the state of the chef I'd be reluctant to eat there anyway. Where is the new owner ?

My Wife, myself and a good friend paid a visit to this Pub this afternoon a thoroughly enjoyed it.The Real Ale on tap was well kept and went down a treat. I also thought that the food was tasty, of good portion size and served nice a hot, even the landlady was very attentive and friendly - what's not to like.In my opinion great value for money and certainly worth a visit.

Popped in for lunch today and had a lovely meal with a nice pint of real ale. Most of the food is home-cooked and the prices are very reasonable. Good service and definitely somewhere I shall go again.

I have only been to the Windmill inn at the weekends to see the bands on Saturday nights so I am not reviewing the food or anything during the day only my experience Saturday nights, but to be honest l never overly feel welcome there l find the landlord and the bar staff a bit unfriendly and it would be nice if they said thank you sometimes when you order and pay for your drinks , after all l am a customer who is spending money and bringing some profit to this pub .

Dropped by the Windmill again, third time I've been. The owner is a really nice guy and there is always live music on a Friday and Saturday, which is why I went. It's a real live music venue. I travel some distance to support it. Great food till 8 ish... The band I saw this time were Rockstox - a tidy five piece fun band, great song choice and not too loud..

The Windmill Inn has become our local even though it is over twenty miles away. The Family that run it are the best, always a warm welcome. The live music on Friday and Saturdays is always of a very high standard, some of the very best local bands around. We often pop in for lunch when passing, great menu and very good value. Particularly love the homemade burgers. Today we had the Carvery for the first time and really enjoyed it, freshly cooked, lots of it and very good value. Good choice of deserts too.

Both myself & my wife enjoyed the carvery, at "The Windmill Inn", in Ashford. We found it by accident, as we were out on a drive, so we're thought, that we would just pop in, for a drink, but as soon as we saw, the carvery sign outside, we thought, that we would have a carvery, as it is a few minutes drive, from where we live.We are glad, that we did, as the food, was lovely, as you are served with plenty of meat, they have a good choice of vegetables to choose from, to which you help yourself to.Once, we had got our food, and we sat down to enjoy our food, both myself and my wife could not believe, how friendly the staff of the windmill inn, were and that they could not do enough for you.As I am disabled, with being on a crutch, we thought that was really nice.We will definitely be back, for more of their carvery, and there desserts, were excellent, you certainly get a big enough dessert.

Desserts were good but very slow being served. Reasonable prices.Only comment is that only one person serving desserts, there was 40 of us.

A nice town pub, clean and tidy, but I think it's been modernised a bit too much. It's one of those pubs which you can tell used to be two bars, and has been knocked into one. Consequently it is spacious and airy but not all that cosy. The food was very good, not overcooked or greasy, and a nice gesture to our darts team, provided free of charge. The beers provided are well kept, and a good choice is offered but like so many places, re-mortgage the house before buying one, as a Caffrey's bitter will cost you £3.95 and that's probably cheaper than the Stella. The bar staff are very attractive, keep some Brut handy. ;-) The garden is well kept and smart, and it's very clever how the bench under the willow tree is fitted exactly round the trunk. Overall I would definitely recommend this pub but bring a heavy wallet.

The Windmill is a real gem of a pub, with a good selection of beer, and good value home-cooked food (The Sunday carvery is particularly good!).Most importantly, The Windmill plays host to the best live music acts from across the county - and sometimes beyond!Father-Son landlord team Neil and Liam really know their stuff when it comes to booking bands, and have an uncanny knack of knowing what's going to go down well. And they don't stick with the usual middle-of-the-road pub rock - Expect to see anything from 80s pop to post-punk to acoustic blues to retro rock & metal!

We visited the Windmill Inn as a band we wanted to check out were playing there, after looking up the menu on their website we also booked a table, the staff were friendly and helpful especially as we had to alter our time and table size. I can recommend the homemade quiche and for pudding homemade rhubarb and blueberry crumble. The band playing were called Total Mayhem, we enjoyed an evening of classic rock which left my ears ringing lol.

The food is really nice. Service is friendly and quick. However, as this is a pub you need to time your visit accordingly as they only serve food after a certain time (I think it is 6 but may be wrong) and it can be noisy due to the fact that it is a really good pub and full of locals

I live 2 minutes from a renowned pub cum bistro who charge £15 a head for a 2 course Sunday roast. With 2 kids and the fact they don't reduce the price much, we wanted to have a look around. We've done the usual carveries and "fashionable" places to eat but wanted to try something different.I was told that the Windmill served a "decent roast dinner" but without the fuss of typical resto/bistro pubs. I rang the Windmill, made the reservation and turned up slightly early. Not a problem and was sat at a reserved table. With carveries, you normally get a choice of 2 or 3 meats. They had 4 and every one was delicious. The dinner was in my opinion was first class, correctly cooked, tasty and HOT!! The dinner passed the taste test for my 2 children who are at best extremely fussy and that says something. We don't normally eat puddings as the costs are normally very high and with drinks, you can be very easily into £70. The Spotted Dick (homemade) was cracking, the homemade cheesecake is a must ( about 3 inches high and lots of IT!!!) and my daughter really fancied banana custard. When asked, they did it and as my little girl is under 5, she wasn't charged. Total bill for 4 dinners, 4 puddings and 8 drinks??£40!!!! The best value in Ashford. One thing though please guys at the Windmill...... Don't change the winning formula you have. Thank you. We'll definitely book again

Went in with my wife for lunch over Christmas and enjoyed it so much we took our four kids back on Christmas Eve. The Menu is traditional from 'Scampi and Chips' to 'Jam Sponge and Custard'. The family had the kids' meals and my wife had a very tasty prawn sandwich. The beer was great too and a good selection of wine and soft drinks for the kids. If you want a good old fashioned pub experience then The Windmill Inn is worth a visit

Visited the Windmill Inn after being recommended by a family member and we are very pleased we did. We booked a table for 5 adults and 2 children, for the Sunday carvery. On arrival we were welcomed and shown to our table and drink orders were taken. We selected our meals from the chef, good choice of meat i.e. chicken/turkey, beef, lamb and pork, and good choice of vegetables. The food tasted lovely, we were very impressed and all cleared our plates. The desserts did not disappoint either, there are hot and cold options. The service we received from all the staff was excellent, they were very friendly, welcoming and polite. A great pub to have in Ashford, wish there were more like this one.The pub has a lovely garden at the side and rear, which was great for the children and on a nice day would be ideal to sit outside to have a drink and relax. The atmosphere of the pub was warm and welcoming. We will definitely return .

Booked a table for eight people for my birthday family meal. Booked for Sunday as heard they do a good Sunday carvery. Good is an understatement. Fantastic dinner with great service and friendly staff who couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome. Husband went there the day before to drop off some flowers, balloons and cake to surprise me with on the day. Brilliant meal, great portions with the added bonus of being able to go up as often as you like but to be honest once was filling enough! More than enough options on meat and vegetables and everything was hot. Had pudding which again was a generous helping and delicious. Brilliant value for money. Will definitely be going again

We had a very good meal at The George at Molash; we were welcomed on arrival and shown to our table, the service was very efficient and the waitresses were professional but also friendly. They looked after us superbly. We chose our meals and these took a little time to come out but we were not worried about this as we were chatting and food was cooked freshly to order. Other tables were informed about a wait for some foods as they were cooked freshly to order. This didn’t affect us too much as we ate quite early - table was booked for 6.30pm. The pub was very clean and tidy. The portions were good - for both dinner and we had a dessert. We finished the evening with herbal teas and were shown a selection to choose from. Overall we had a very nice evening at The George, and had good food, service and atmosphere.

Previously visited the Tearooms when they were located outside the front of Perry Court. The food was excellent and cheese, chutney sandwiches were huge and fresh. Has to be said for the new cafe the staff are great - however the new sandwiches are appalling. Cheap supermarket, sliced bread and a smattering of grated cheese for ££. Phenomenally expensive. A huge disappointment and wouldn't return.

One of the very best Sunday lunches I have experienced. Served piping hot and with a smile from our server. Beef was generous and left pink in the middle, great Yorkshires crisp on the out side but soft and tasty in the middle. Fantastic choice of vegetables roasted parsnips, red cabbage, cauliflower in white sauce and a side bowl of cabbage, broccoli and green beans. Roast potatoes were perfect for us crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Thick, tasty gravy and lots of it. Just a great and memorable lunch. Good selection of wine by the glass and beers. Staff are all smiles, efficient and charming. Instead of the beef my wife tried the vegetarian option and declared great alternative!
