Sadly this is our local pub. It has recently under new management and advertised a curry night on a Thursday. So we went along . Unfortunately the whole experience from arriving to leaving was poor . We booked a table in case it was busy as it was half term . On arrival we were met by the bar staff who were unprofessional and a bit abrupt . We said we had booked a table and she just said yes . And then waited we then asked which table . She responded with do you want a drink first . She then showed us to a very small table squashed next to a large table . There were other available tables which we asked about but she said no the were for 4 people which laid up . But no tables of 4 came in . The table wasn’t cleared and so she wiped it down . We had to ask for table mats and serviettes . They had run out it serviettes so gave us torn off blue roll . There was no menu just a verbal description of the curries on offer . When I ask about whether there was a choice of heat in the curries she didn’t know and came back to say they were all the same . We asked if there were any pickles like mango chutney and they said they had forgotten to get these . We finished our meal which was ok but not that brilliant . The bar maid was more interested in chatting people who seemed to be her friends and playing on her phone . There was a general lack of professionalism. We were very disappointed at the whole service and meal and won’t be going back even though this is the closet pub to where we live . Dreadful service

Went for a combination of quiz night and something to eat . The food on quiz night is sensibly kept fairly simple but noting wrong in that . We both had scampi and chips ( £12 each ) good value and nicely cooked . Scampi was good an the chips nice and tasty . Service was quick and friendly . Stayed for the quiz which was enjoyable . The friend I went with is in a team and we won , which was good . Found it rather warm in the pub , still all in all an enjoyable evening

The Woolpack in Warehorne is a proper pub that captures the charm of a traditional English countryside spot. The views from the pub are beautiful, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall warm atmosphere. Their Guinness is particularly well-prepared, which is a standout for any pub lover. While I haven’t had the chance to try the food yet, it looked absolutely delicious, and I’m definitely looking forward to returning soon to give it a try. Have eaten here before and the food and service has always been great. Unfortunately this time the service was poor - had to wait for drinks and had to always call out for the waiter to ask for anything. No whitebait to start, had run out of pies (which was ok) - ordered steak that was tough as old boots and on returning it found out that a number of people had complained and that it was due to a change of butcher! Lamb and fish and chips ordered instead so everyone ate at different times - Lamb was poor no taste and tough again.......was told that came from a different butcher? Had to ask for coffee and more drinks (when I say ask actually get up and go and find the waiter) - he then made a comment about it under his breath? Then we were told they had run out of milk and only had oatmilk.........

Food was premium & exquisite - Mushroom soup, warm fresh bread (unsalted butter) followed by shellfish tagliatelle. Tiny critiques 1) Could offer a bowl for prawn heads and clam shells etc 2) and a finger bowl for above 3) Sign definitely needed for toilets as we over heard 11 people ask directions to them in our short 1/2 hour we were there. Apart from that as close to perfect as you can. 5*

Charming pub. There are a number of issues with the (rather pricey) food, though. Orders mixed up, one dish not as ordered, and one hot dish served cold Service rather slow but attentive when it happened. Went for lunch with my husband and dog. Had a lovely glass of wine and had the small beautifully cooked fish on a warm tartare sauce with samphire and chips. The service was friendly but a bit slow in asking for our drinks order. The reason I have given four stars is because the place looked a bit grubby especially the glass in the pictures, (a lot of them had actual drip marks) and the glass on the doors had lots of finger prints and smears. Probably only visible when you are seated. When I was a waitress I would always sit at several tables before opening and have a good look as a customer. Would definitely go again though because food and atmosphere was lovely.

We stayed the night B&B. We had one of the attic rooms which we found to be very much to our taste with its reused floor boards as wall panelling and the bath at the foot of the bed [the loo was separate :-)]. The room had lovely views of the church yard over the road with its resident sheep. The bed was very comfortable and we especially appreciated the complimentary decanter of port, kettle, coffee machine and copious coffee pods, tea bags and milk in the fridge on the landing. For dinner I had pie of the day (chicken & mushroom) and I requested chips instead of mashed potato. The pie and spring greens were excellent and, while not cold, I would have preferred the chips to be a bit hotter. In the morning we both had the English breakfast and that also was excellent. The Woolpack is a free house and at the time that we stayed there they had two Romney Marsh Brewery ales - I tried both and they were both excellent and well kept. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

My wife asked if we could sit by the open fire which they said we could We looked at the menu and my wife commented on the limited choice due to the meals we were informed they were out of. I had a very nice starter , but the rest of the food was very underwhelming. My wife didn't enjoy her food at all but ate it because she was hungry. We didn't find the staff very welcoming and at no point were we asked if we were enjoying our meal. when we finished we paid the bill and went to leave , the server didn't say thank for our service and couldn't have moved away from us any quicker then she did. I have eaten once before at the woolpack on a Sunday and really enjoyed the food with my family so this score would have been higher. We made a booking for an evening meal tonight (the day I am writing this review) I arrived 25 mins earlier than when the kitchen opened with my one year old son in my arm. The guy behind the bar said the kitchen did not open until 5pm, no problem and I asked if we could be seated. We were given a long table that was fit for a larger booking than the 3 of us, the barman weirdly decided to put the high chair opposite where I was sitting and then vanished without even asking if we wanted to order a drink. It was almost as if he did not care where the baby sat and when my wife arrived moments later... still no drinks order. We both felt unwelcome and decided to leave. I may return to the woolpack on a Sunday when families are welcomed but certainly not in midweek!!!

Very pleasant pub definitely go again and and I recommend the pizza very tasty . The burger was apparently ok but at £15 so not worth it although I personally didn't try it .

A beautifully presented Christmas three course lunch was cooked to perfection by our host Dave and delivered to our table promptly along with drinks. If you are looking for a traditional village pub with great food and a festive atmosphere, then head over to the Woolpack.

A pub that’s really changed for the better. Booked for a Christmas meal with a group of friends. This used to be a drinkers pub but not so much now. Really well decorated (not just with Xmas decs). Food was good value for money, well presented and enough for a healthy appetite. Staff were really attentive and there when more drinks were needed. There were a number of large parties on at the same time and there appeared to be no waiting for food to arrive. I would highly recommend this for a lunch or evening meal.

Loved the pub absolutely gorgeous and staff were lovely and welcoming. I’ve marked it down as the beer choices were limited and disappointed . The food was also overpriced and not great Such a shame

We had a very good meal at The George at Molash; we were welcomed on arrival and shown to our table, the service was very efficient and the waitresses were professional but also friendly. They looked after us superbly. We chose our meals and these took a little time to come out but we were not worried about this as we were chatting and food was cooked freshly to order. Other tables were informed about a wait for some foods as they were cooked freshly to order. This didn’t affect us too much as we ate quite early - table was booked for 6.30pm. The pub was very clean and tidy. The portions were good - for both dinner and we had a dessert. We finished the evening with herbal teas and were shown a selection to choose from. Overall we had a very nice evening at The George, and had good food, service and atmosphere.
