Who is the Chef here!!!! #amazing Today we added to the review as the Sunday Lunch was EPIC. Check out the rib eye beef and the pork belly!! Yum yum 😋 The White Horse Pub in Hawkinge is an absolute gem, and my recent experience there was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by Abby, who provided exceptional service throughout my visit. Let's talk about the food - an absolute culinary delight crafted by the talented chef, Keyleigh. The garlic and chili prawn on sourdough starter was a burst of flavors that tantalized my taste buds, setting the perfect tone for the meal ahead. The beef and Guinness suet pie with triple cooked chips, accompanied by gravy and vegetables, was a hearty masterpiece. Each bite was filled with rich, comforting flavors that left me wanting more. And let's not forget the grand finale - the banoffee pie dessert was a divine indulgence that rounded off the meal perfectly. The ambiance of the pub was inviting, with a well-presented interior that exuded charm and character. It provided the ideal backdrop for a memorable dining experience. What's more, the value for money was exceptional, considering the quality and quantity of the food served. Galileo is one of the few restaurants that holds it quality. I'm writing this review because this place is hands down the best.. I can't recommend it enough. At some point you can expect emoji to come check on you (he's the owner/head chef).. the food is by far the highest quality.

Well, where do i start. We arrived at 7:20pm for our 8pm table for our 2 window seat as previously requested, having recieved a confirmation email 24hrs previously inviting us to enjoy a pre dinner cocktail in the bar. Bar was shut. Left to have drink in local pub Dog & Duck (recommended). Returned to our table (away from window) at 7:55pm to find the restaurant about half full. Ordered the £40 Rose and requested 2 x mains almost immediately, waitress returns 5 mins later to say there was a 30m wait for food. This was probably due to the 20 odd people sitting at the bench seating next to us. Needless to say we did not fancy the 1/2hr+ wait for 2 mains & left, cancelling the wine. Suggestions for the management; 1. Tell customers the bar is shut,not open 24hrs before. 2.Tell the customer there is a 1/2 wait for food apon arrival ( they tell you that in pubs). 3. Don’t take massive block bookings at the cost of other customers. 4. If you do, food must be pre ordered from online menu with deposit taken. 5. If you can’t do that,make sure you have enough staff to work the kitchen. Needless to say we shall not be returning as we do not want special treatment. I did not even mention it was my wife’s Birthday apon making the original booking.

Was served a black coffee by a sweet little girl, she said her name was Lottie, she was fantastic, gave me all the information about the town and served me a lovely ramen what was packed full of flavour, She then went in to tell me it was made by a lovely gentleman named Joe. From my understanding they are together and make a fantastic power couple runny the place like king and queen. 5🌟
