We ate here towards the end of April, pre our late night ferry at Portsmouth. Warm welcome (we had booked a table in advance) and we really enjoyed our chosen meals. Parking was a bit difficult, but we managed to find a pay-for carpark, not very far from The Rocka. Really enjoyed our dishes, service was excellent, and staff weren't fazed by a couple of requests not to have chips, bread etc. Sorry, can't remember exactly what we had, but it was all delicious and we'd definitely go back there when we next get a ferry from Portsmouth.

A really nice place with a good selection of food. Different flavors are combined creatively and deliciously. It's not for nothing that the restaurant has received many awards. A reservation seems to be mandatory, otherwise it will be difficult to get a place. The service is very nice and attentive, the atmosphere is very pleasant. There is also a large selection of gluten-free options. We had, among other things, the buttermilk chicken, the steak, and the lamb.
The food may have been 5/5 but the service was 10/10.
As soon as you enter the owner will make you feel warmer than the food they serve. One of the kindest and most charming place to have food. We had some koftas and kibbeh and it was luscious. The sides were the highlight. The hummus will make you feel warm and giddy inside and the taziki is so rich and fresh. My favourite was the spicy sauce, I think it was called zhoug, because your girl can use some spice in life. The whole expirence was amazing untill some drunk guys started fighting in the alleyway. Owner of course checked on us.
I fully recommend going there.
Thank you so much we had my friends baby shower on Sunday and it was absolutely fabulous wonderful service beautifully decorated. Nothing was too much trouble and the afternoon tea was amazing. I would highly recommend. Thank you. Bluebells tea room.
Got a plastic box full of veg, with meat underneath. Both were alright. Finally found my way down to a piece of doner bread - too late!
Nice greasy caf.
The food was amazing and the staff were so attentive. The starter i ordered was too spicy for me (my fault i was advised) Maria offered several solutions to my dilemma so was so helpful. I 100% recommend you visit
I had dinner with my brother and it was a fantastic evening. Excellent food, great cosy atmosphere AUTHENTIC Italians running the restaurant so we had a brilliant experience.
Been here a few times and had a great experience each time. The food is delicious and reasonably-priced. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Went for my partner's birthday and they even put balloons out which was a lovely touch. It's a small family-run restaurant with one person cooking everything so if you're going in a large group be prepared for it to take a little while if you can't book/order ahead, but it's worth it to support our independent businesses in Reading! The staff also spent some time talking to us about Mauritian food culture which was cool to learn about. I ordered the fish curry which was delicious, my friend ordered the rabbit which he said was great too! Lots of veggie options.
Este pub es ideal para una noche tranquila. El personal era encantador, me encantó el ambiente y también en una buena ubicación cerca de la estación de tren para llegar a casa. Lo recomendaría y volvería a visitar de nuevo!

This was a wonderful experience. We came for Mother’s Day, 3 generations of mums and the food and service was second to none. Sashi and all staff went above and beyond to make the afternoon special. Thank you and we are planning to come back very soon
