Great find, on a short visit to Brighton. Didn’t have a reservation, but the staff esp the knowledgeable waiter were super helpful, took my number and called me back when a table was available. Food - in a word - superb. Delicious. Atmosphere was amazing. Wish we had some photos to share.

If you are looking for a casual spot for some yummy Italian food look no further. My partner and I enjoyed a cocktail, glass of wine, pizza, 2 sides and tiramisu for £50! Very reasonably priced especially for such a desirable location. Service was perfect. Our one critique is that the lights could be dimmed a little and a few candles to improve atmosphere! Otherwise couldn’t fault it! Thank you Nanninella team x

I came with a colleague of mine (also Italian) and we had a bufalina and a frankfurter and potatoes: the dough was very good and authentic and the service was also very courteous. Advised!!

I read the reviews about this restaurant and so i tried it out myself. The Pizza is very good and the bread of the Pizza. Chili oil could be more spicy but besides that it was perfect Pizza.

I only give 4 stars. The atmosphere could be warmer (particularly in a cold, wet winter night). The service is exceptional and the food is great. But, the food is not outstanding. I would go back and try different pizzas and starters for sure. Definitely recommend it.

We had takeaway pizza from here whilst staying in Brighton for the weekend and it was so delicious. Great service and the restaurant looked lovely!

We went the first time. We enter and ask for a table for 2 people. The guy there looks at us and in an almost pissed off tone says to us: have you booked? When we answer no. He replies, THEN NO. We'll try again another day. This time we book. We order fried calzone and pizza with fristielli. From the time we sat down, when we ordered, until we finished, 40 minutes had passed. The waiter arrives and asks us if we want anything else. Let's say we're good. And he brings us the bill. Realize we hadn't asked and were still drinking the beer. The pizzas may be good, but if we have to be treated like that like slaves, then I'd rather go to Wetherspoons honestly. What a shame if I think that the English might think that this is a typical Italian service.

Amazing pizza down in Brighton. I popped down with my son during half term for lunch. One of the best pizzas I've had outside of London and well worth a visit. Lovely sourdough base, just how pizza should be 👌will definitely be going back.

I never thought that as a semi pizzaiolo I would eat one of the best pizzas of my life in Brighton of all places. I ordered 3 pizzas to take away. And every pizza was fantastic. The service was very nice and accommodating. When we're back in Brighton, I'll eat the pizza in the local cozy atmosphere.

I used to come in here a lot with my girlfriend, but we haven't been in since it reopened as a restaurant. Pretty disappointed with our last visit. I usually order a pizza with a white base and change it for tomato sauce. Everytime I have been in I have been able to order my pizza this way. This time I was told the chef wouldn't do it because it's not traditional. I'm not sure when this suddenly changed. It's a bit ridiculous considering you will put a pizza with chips on top on your menu. We also got told there wasn't any gluten free pizza dough after everyone had already ordered their pizzas. Probably wouldn't visit again, bit of a shame.

Original review: Best pizza I’ve ever had. Giving four starts because the opening times are too late during the week and they served us pizza in cardboard plates when we had pizza in the restaurant which wasn’t a very pleasant experience.

Best pizza I’ve had since I was in Milan. Proper authentic Italian. Nice drinks and desserts too. Only thing I would nitpick on/change is the menu being all Italian-my dad struggled with this but overall we had a great time.

Underimpressed, considering this place had 4.9☆ reviews. Salad was meager, pizza had burnt edges and there was no spicy oil. The music was on the eclectic side and a tad loud, making it annoying. Next to me was sat a couple on a first or second date (they didn't know each other's jobs); firstly the guy told the woman what to order "because he was Italian" (she disagreed and changed the order), then the lady had to keep the conversation going the whole time I was there while he just sorta stared ahead, putting in the smallest amount of effort and asking zero questions. I realize this is unrelated, it just additionally pissed me off. The waiter was nice. I did not order dessert.

It used to be my favourite pizza here in Brighton, it's a lovely place, lovely atmosphere and great staff. My last visit I was very disappointed to find out they don't do any vegan options anymore, so I ended up ordering a veggie option with no cheese, and was quite disappointed by it, unfortunately won't be returning and don't recommend any vegans to go. Was also a bit confused by the disposable plate, cups and cutlery, I'm sure there is an explanation behind it maybe but was also not too excited about that taking into consideration it is not necessary to use disposable things for each customer, and even trying to cut with a wooden knife was challenging to say the least. Overall, very disappointed by it, feel like they definitely lost a lot of their appeal and I won't be coming back, kudos to the staff for the amount of work they were doing and it definitely gave the feeling that they needed more staff as there was just one guy running around, always friendly and smiling though.

We ordered 2 initially and fell in love so we went for a 3rd one and all we wanted was something with pesto and the chef came up with the most delightful pizza with burrata, and sun-dried tomatoes. I dined here before it turned into takeaway where I experienced the best Italian restaurant ive ever been to so when they changed to takeaway the standards were high. The sandwiches may have just topped the pizzas, absolutely delicious, you can taste the authenticity of the food as there literally nothing else like it!! Such generous portion sizes & fillings too. This is a must try!

Ordered a take-away through UberEats, I got a Tartufata pizza (truffle) and a frittatina, the pizza arrived barely warm, it was still very nice but no trace of truffle (it smells very strong so I should have definitely been able to detect it), the frittatina was really nice. These things don't come cheap, so I wasn't very happy about it being different than what I thought but I still enjoyed it.

Had the pleasure of trying Nanninella for the first time and I couldn't be happier that I did! It's difficult to find quality sandwich place in Brighton and this is a must try. Ingredients are top quality and you get a lot of your buck! Will definitely be coming back for more sandwiches and to try the Pizza as well.

Buonissimo! We tried the new panini (Italian for sandwich) and we absolutely loved them. They are not only generous in size but also superbly delicious, with only premium Italian ingredients (as Italian it would not be easy to find a sandwich as good as this anywhere in Italy). Price wise is also great for the quality you get. We will absolutely come back!

The subs and the pistachio cannoli are incredible.

If you haven’t tried. You NEED to try!!!! I have ordered their food with my partner 4 times this week over Uber eats, last night I decided to collect (and the team are soo friendly! Was worth the drive) we can’t stop ordering because we can’t resist the food!!! Really good Italian pizza. One of the best in Brighton. Lots of different options of pizzas and the arancini is very good ( especially the truffle one!). The tomato sauce on the pizzas is full of flavour but didn't try the white sauce base. Restaurant has upstairs and downstairs but still good to book before as it did get busy. The lemon cocktail was great and I would recommend. As well as the melon shot. The staff are very friendly.

Fabulous Neapolitan style pizza - in my book the best in Brighton, and some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Service always good and the ambiance is decent - outside seating is lovely and the basement is OK if upstairs crowded…

I will forever stand by that Naninella is the best pizza in Brighton, even that I have ever eaten. I have taken countless friends here and will continue to recommend the restaurant as it’s never once let me down! We’ve just had delivery for the first time, not knowing they did it, and it stood that test too. The atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely and relaxed, with a family run feel. We consistently feel welcome here and the staff are so friendly towards us and our 18 month old son that we continue to eat in as much as possible. I can only recommend that anyone eat here as I know it will be your new favourite restaurant.

Very accommodating since our group went from 9-15 and they happily arranged the tables to fit us all. The pizzas were truly amazing, as was the drinks, the desserts(we pretty much tried them all), and the waiters were super friendly and fun. I'll be back.

Welcome to the best pizza place in Brighton. You may realize it quite quickly when you walk in and all you hear is Italians speaking. Sometimes I travel all the way to Brighton just to have a bite of their pizza. Starters and other dishes are also excellent. If you are looking for the authentic Italian experience this is the place, no Dominos or Papa Jones.

Ate upstairs, cute little restaurant, not much of a romantic vibe though. I asked for advice on my order and one of the waitresses said one had more of a 'smokey flavour'. I asked the next waitress about this and she didn't seem to know what I was talking about - more training on the menu might help. Went for a classic margherita and we shared fries. Both were absolutely delicious - the dough was amazing! Service was fast. I'd like to see the restaurant offer some different dips, pesto mayo or aioli or sriracha maybe - we only got sachets of mayo and ketchup.

Service seems 2 wait ages , food pricey staff attractive, dogs allowed??? Pizza bang on, nice tight seating. Mozzarella cheese and cherry vine tomatoes & rocket salad 🥗 😍so much will try at home 1 day & garlic infused Virgin olive oil 🛢️ favourite combination.😎pity menu could be in italiano & English for better understanding....
