Just had the most amazing evening with some friends at this wonderful restaurant. We visited last back in 2019 and had a good experience this time it was even better. Thankyou to all the staff who were so helpful and accommodating to our group with all our needs and dietary requirements. Please do not change anything you do, everything is just perfect.

Food, ambience, staff all excellent. Limited menu and wine choices, however, no compromise needed.

No food in the dog friendly section

It is clear the owners care deeply and passionately about their fine restaurant. A good mix of dishes on the menu to please everyone, the same can be said for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks/cocktails. Definitely a must visit destination for a great experience.

The best vegan brunch I've ever had! The portions were generous, the food innovative and delicious, and the staff were kind and efficient. A great place to go in Folkestone, and I know I'll definitely be back.

The food was so good we forgot to take photos. The belly pork starter was sensational. I recommend booking in advance if you want to go for dinner.

Good local food with great local service

Marley's is amazing. I have been here a couple of times with friends and family and I have never been disappointed. Both times I have been here have been for breakfast. The first time I had their version of a fry up and the second time I had pancakes. The fry up was amazing. Really nice sausages and eggs and it was all locally sourced. The pancakes were peanut butter and strawberry. The peanut butter was made at Marleys and I did ask if I could buy some. The price is fair as well and very good value as they make some of the food and buy locally. If you are coming for the pancakes it's worth knowing that they change the topping week to week so look at their Instagram.

Food has always been good here, a little on the pricey side for what it is but never had a bad meal, highly recommend

Gorgeous vegan seitan chicken with barley grains and fresh asparagus on the side. Sevice was beautiful and the team is very sweet. Restaurant is perfect located between Harbour and Creative Quarter. Really recommend!

Went for lunch. Food was barely warm. Had a pork belly toasty. Filling was tasty but almost cold. Fries were the worst I’ve had to be honest. Limp, cold and presented in a tiny bowl with the sad fries hanging over the edge. Staff were pleasant and efficient but the food was poor overall. Maybe the chef was having a bad day.

Another fantastic meal. I usually ALWAYS have pancakes but decided to try the sharing breakfast with my friend which has a little of everything. We also added sausages to our platter. The whole meal was amazing as always.

Nice restaurant and generally good food. I had the poke bowl, and whilst it was an attarctive dish, it completely lacked any flavor at all. Everyone else however enjoyed their meal. Just bad luck I guess.

Great place to enjoy decent grub, very friendly service, just near the harbour. The sharing brunch / breakfast platter is a winner! Especially the honeycomb butter 🤤! Enjoy!

Marley's is worth any line or wait. In the 9 days we have been here, we have gone twice. Once for dinner and once for breakfast on the weekend. Both times, the staff was attentive, kind, and timely. The food is fresh, cooked amazingly, and has so much flavor. It is clear whoever makes this food takes pride in what they do and you don't need to take it from me-- it shows in each dish and drink they serve. Don't miss out on this place if you are driving through! :)

Wow, I didn’t think anyone could be better than Stubbs in Ashford but Marley’s has ! The food was so tasty and flavoursome. I very rarely have all 3 courses but we did here ;) amazing place we will be back !

Lovely restaurant, top service from the staff, clean everywhere, & very well maintained, not a spot of grubiness anywhere, nicely decorated with some quality touches, tap water offered without asking, served in a bottle with ice, glasses were not budget, staff get all the tips, service charge optional, even the bill came in a miniature terracotta pots, touches like these stand out! Small menu but lots of choice, food was quality, fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. Yum yum yum. Recommend a visit if you are in Hastings!

Delicious food, for once it's not always the same offering, and at reasonable prices. We enjoyed it.

I was really looking foward to my friends birthday meal. I can't fault the food it was lovley and the drinks also were nice, but for the price it is a little lacking some of the finer details, no one offered to pour the wine, no water was offered for the table, there wasn't anything like bread offered to start and the staff didn't once ask if everything was OK with our meal..... my summary is it was a bit pricey for a serious lack of service.

Lovely place. The decor is beautiful and i love the touch with the scrabble named. The staff are friendly and attentive. We ordered the marleys sharing board which was really nice. The mains were also nice, good variety on the menu and I love that most everything is local. The local wine was incredibly.

Had a delicious lunch. Burger from the children's menu was very popular with my daughter. Delicious mocktails!

It's so rare for me and my partner to have an equal dining experience. My partner eats meat and I'm vegan and so one of us will usually have to compromise when we go out for dinner but Marleys has incredible options for both of us without compromising on flavour or portion size. We had the garden of England sharing platter which was so filling. I had the seitan crispy chicken and grains with very generous portions. My partner had the pork belly and hasn't stopped raving about how good it was since we got home. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff made it a lovely experience. Also a very impressive mocktail menu!

What a great place, we arrived in the evening, in a rush and without a booking. The staff were so great and the food was so so good. I had the Marleys signature burger and the pork belly bites for a starter. Lovely lovely place, highly recommended

Very nice food and good service I was brought by a local who wanted to see if this restaurant was as good as it had been in its smaller, prior location. He says yes, easily. As a first timer, I definitely enjoyed it, opting for the Pork Belly. Which was big, rich, full of flavour, juicy with great crackling. The sides were not an afterthought by the chefs, being well done, sizeable, tasty and a good compliment to the mains. The drinks menu was good, with local offerings and some good wine which we had. A very pleasant, modern environment. They've moulded the seating well to the building. With options between intimate or on-show, we were happy to people watch in the window. Overall, a lovely meal, made even more enjoyable by professional-yet-friendly staff.

Incredible well presented flavourful yummy food. 100% reccomend. Always go on dinner dates here and today celebrated a birthday with 10 members of my family. What a wonderful treat for us today! No booking needed for our impromptu lunches of Butcher's Pork Belly and a Tuna Steak lunch - both meals used quality ingredients, were perfectly cooked & beautifully presented. Very favourable pricing with competent & friendly service to round off a perfect little gem in Folkestone that just has to be recommended! We will definitely be visiting again because why wouldn't we want to try all the wonderful dishes on the menu lol Thank you Charly (front of house), Mark (chef extraordinaire) & your lovely team! EDIT Aug. '23. Have been back x 3 for eve meals - all meals / sharing platters and puds thoroughly enjoyed ! Just had theee best experience with my husband at Marleys. Food, atmosphere, service, decor absolutely top drawer. Loving the new space and attention to detail especially the decor from the bathroom hand soap to all the natural wood on the surfaces and walls. The staff were incredibly helpful and engaging as for the dishes well executed, we score it 12 out of 10 from the jump! Love, love love this place definitely worth every penny.

Went out for breakfast with my wife. There is no option to book for breakfast so we got there no long after it had opened. The restaurant was already full so we were seated in the waiting area and offered drinks. We were seated about 30 mins later. We ordered the full English breakfast and the pancakes, both items were fantastic quality and the ingredients fresh and local. The service was overall very attentive, my only niggle was that it took a few mentions to get the bill, I'm guessing due to how busy they were. Would definitely return to try their other offerings.

The food was out of this world. Tasty and incredibly fresh. Staff wonderful, so knowledgeable and helpful. Great venue, beautifully decorated and ultra clean. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommended.

Easier to get a table now they've moved to a bigger place but the quality has dropped significantly. Nice warm soft bread is now charred hard breaking teeth toast. Flat iron overcooked and chewy. Waited so long for main and no service in between. Sad as we have been regular patrons of Marley's since the beginning and never minded having to book far in advance. The staff were very nice when we did see them though but the food needs to get back to to high standards.

Where do I start ? Marleys came highly recommended. Everything about the experience was beautiful. The food was amazing. The vege dishes were everything. Do yourself a favour, pop in for a bite to eat next time you are in Folkestone. You will not regret it. The value was phenomenal too . ❤️

Great service, even thought they were extremely busy. Great food! My little sister Hayway felt comfortable and relaxed too.

Delicious brunch and generous portion sizes, which justified the price. Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Would happily return as there is more on the menu that I would like to try!

Finally, got to eat at Marleys in their new abode. We had booked to visit just after Xmas. But I caught a stomach bug so we had to cancel. Décor was beautiful and all the staff were so warm and welcoming. I had the Marleys burger, but asked if chef would mind putting the dressings on the side which he did. (Thank you) The burger was well done. (Just right) Presentation was amazing. I tried the alcohol free lager. Which wasn’t bad. It’s not a big menu but it’s all good. Family had the Pork dish and the Chicken dish and they were all excellent. Good choice of wines, spirits and beers. Lovely evening.

Called the restaurant this morning to book a table for Brunch at 11am. I was told it was a walk in service only. On arrival we were told that there wasn’t a table, that the coffee machine wasn’t working and that Brunch finishes in 10 minutes! We could ‘pop’ back at 12pm for lunch. I thought Bruch was served after breakfast and at least until 12pm. I could understand if Breakfast finished then but not Brunch, hence the name Brunch. Will not return.

The waiting staff here were so friendly, they're an absolute credit to the business. Great food too!

Lovely place; a friendly welcome, decent food (and plenty of options to choose from), reasonably priced and all in a warm and inviting environment. Agree with a previous reviewer about the Coke price - 200ml is a mixer!

We were in town just for the evening and happened to find Marley's. They were able to fit our group of 3 in immediately which was so appreciated after a day of traveling. First of all the staff are all so incredibly nice and welcoming. The place itself is so cozy and such a nice setting. And the food was delicious. Our group had quite a variety of food and everything was so good! I even got a treacle cupcake to go. There are also some thoughtful touches throughout the restaurant. I highly recommend trying this place out!

Nothing special atmoshere poor

First visit to Marleys and for sure it won’t be the last. We arrived at around 12:40 and had to wait for a table but not for long. Food was really good and well priced. My only criticism is the chips were of poor quality, only little broken pieces of potatoes but fair enough they only charged £3.95 per portion. The Diet Coke is mixer size but they charged £3.80, it could be a pricing strategy as I felt the food was a bit too cheap for what it was. Lovely atmosphere, hope to visit for dinner soon.

Not bad I suppose but food a little disappointing. Had the smoked salmon on toast. Salmon came as a sort of pate which was quite heavy, over-salted and not very salmony. Sweet potato fries were a little on the soggy side for my taste. Friendly service.

What a fantastic menu, very pleasing and appealing to see so much local produce being sourced. 4 of us in for lunch, every dish was absolutely superb, and the Asparagus is out of this world. Service was great too.

I’m so pleased that Marley’s is doing well enough that they needed bigger premises, they absolutely deserve it! I had the crumpets with poached eggs & a pot of tea, very British! The garlic & tahini sauce elevates the dish to something special, I actually decided on that because my mum had said it was possibly the nicest thing she’d ever eaten & I have to agree with her, which I never do! Best lunch ever & all for under £15, amazing!! I’ll be back soon for the pork belly bites. Thanks for having us! Keep up the good work xx

Super nice restaurant / cafe, very lovely friendly professional staff. Delicious sticky toffe pudding. Lovely mocha. Pot of excellent tea. Five stars because they heat the tea cups! This is above and beyond! Plus the loos smell great and are immaculate.

We were passing on Saturday and popped in on the off chance. Although fully booked, staff managed to squeeze us in which was very much appreciated. We had the lovely Tia looking after us, great service, smile and very attentive. Next time we're in Folkestone visiting the family, we'll definitely be back. Thanks, Andy x.

Love the new Marleys as much as I loved the old. My buttermilk chicken was to die for but one star deduction because my partners beef burger didn't look too appealing as the patty was tiny and not flat and he said it mainly tasted like cheese (you can see it a bit in the background of the photo) . Overall I never had a bad meal at Marleys but worth sticking to their creations and if you fancy a burger there are other places in town.

Always the best food in Folkestone and always the best, friendliest staff and service. And importantly in these days very coronovirus safe. Highly recommended ❤️ Update November 2023. We have been several times over the years and each time the food, atmosphere and lovely staff, never disappoint. Yesterday we visited the new larger restaurant for the first time and as promised they have kept to the same Marley's décor and style and most importantly the food is still as amazing. It was so good to be able to relax in a lovely lounge area, whilst waiting for an available table. We did go at their busiest time and didn't have to wait that long, enjoying a drink first. Quite a change from the previous smaller restaurant, a much improved part of our experience, lovely use of space. So Mark and Charly, well done for your courage to make this leap of faith and continuing your dreams and passion for your restaurant and all that it is, we love your food, your ethics, sourcing local produce and employing locally too. Don't ever change what you do, you are both fantastic and all the team. Folkestone has the best restaurant by far with Marley's. Good quality, fresh, seasonal food and we can't wait to come back. We had a great breakfast here, great quality food, big portions and decent prices. It is also dog friendly which is nice, they try to keep it 1-2 dogs max a time so in busy periods you may need to wait, but it'll be worth it.

Been meaning to try them for ages never been able to get in tried today in there new larger venue and was impressed I was surprised just how busy it was for a wet and windy day food and service was very good

Great food and arrived much earlier then the estimated time we were given when we walked in without a booking.

Atmosphere was very relaxed. Staff very friendly. Food was really good and you don't feel rushed while eating.

First visit for us and we weren't disappointed. The new premises has been renovated beautifully and looks fresh and inviting. All of staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed the food, the pork belly was delicious and very filling. I really liked the little personal touch on the tables too. We will be returning for sure as this young couple deserve their success and are doing a great job

Gorgeous space, with even better food + drinks. Had a lovely dinner here with my sister - we shared the veggie platter + seitan skewers, which was all so delicious! The cocktail with the toffee liquor in (a mule of some sort...) was also incredible!

Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Food tends to be seasonal with a change in menu every few months. Their sticky toffee pudding is my partner’s absolute favourite.
