A lovely little independent country pub with a selection of ales and ciders. The atmosphere is really friendly and Kate and Bob are really welcoming. They have a choice of plants to buy out the front if you would like any. I have it on good authority from other satisfied customers that they look beautiful in full bloom. Definitely will be going back again

this is one of the best pub's I've been to for many years, it's like stepping back in time, the pub hasn't changed much since the second world war with original posters warning of possible coming invasion, great beer but NO larger, no music and no slot machine, just the way it was in the 1940s also if you want food, forget it, just chrips, having said that I can highly recommend as staff are extremely welcoming and you can sit there taking in the atmosphere of this 100% authentic pub

Doesn't look much from the outside but stepp inside and WOW ! Like going back in time. 😀😀 Run by Kate the daughter of late WWll land army girl Dorris. The regular local clientele add even more character (if that's even possible). Old style games in the lounge; even show you how to play them, eg. toad-in-the hole. Don't expect any food. Barr snacks only. Keep up the good work Kate.👍👍👍

A cracking little pub where a group I was with while studying the battle of Britain were able to relax and discuss a few of the key themes of this critical time in British history. The pub has its own mini museum fostering discussion about the key protagonists of the conflict. I'm planning to run a similar study in future and I will be adding this place to the itnerary. The staff and locals were all very friendly. Thank you all.

A truly amazing pub. Welcoming staff, lovely beer, wonderful decor, old fashioned lighting and seats, fascinating memorabilia, games and history. No machines or recorded music, just rich conversation. The landlady, Doris, told me she was from London, came down here as a land girl in WW2, married a local and stayed. Surely it's the best pub in England, so therefore the world as no other country has pubs quite like ours.

Take away client. Chicken Shashlick is my go to. Kiln cooked & not in a high calorie sauce. In 20 years Dabbas really is the best I've ever had & its consistent. The chicken is cooked absolutely perfectly, soft & juicy when it can be over cooked so esily. All the sundries, rice, saag pander & salads all equally fresh & tasty. Delivery is also pretty quick. Cannot fault Dabbas food & service.

Best dining out experience we have had in years! At this restaurant we had great service, tasty authentic food and at a good price. The staff helped us order and choose the best dishes for our family. It was exciting to try new dishes and experience authentic Nepalese food and service. Can’t wait to go back!
