The best restaurants in South East

Ordered online late last night for delivery but didn’t realise I tapped collection. Guy rang me asking where I was but then realised I had made a mistake. Not a problem at midnight they delivered my food very swiftly which was excellent and pipping hot and tasty. Excellent communication will use again and recommend to all my friends. Many thanks guys.

Small traditional tea shop with good service and excellent teas and cakes - home made and it shows. Good value. Will certainly come again and try their fuller menu.

Awful fish today, held in the cabinet, totally dry and 80% batter. First ever complaint about quality here, usually exceptionally good but this was really, really poor this time.

We visited this place on the 9th may 2025 have to say the place it's self definitely needs an overhaul very run down toilets needed a good clean but on the plus side the breakfast was really nice if a bit slow

What a find. Beautiful views, great staff, and the best cup of coffee on the island. Came back 2 days running, will definitely return every time I visit the island!

As usual, there was a great range of real ales at the 1050, probably great ciders too (I don't drink cider). There is ALWAYS a great atmosphere at the 1050. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic very prompt service, amazing food. Fabulous cocktails. Great choices of food available (as a Vegetarian I was very happy!) and we were made to feel very welcomed. Will definitely be returning some time soon. Highly recommend.

What a hidden gem in Maidstone! The interior is really warm and sets a nice ambience. Food was absolutely wonderful! I recommend the dumka. Portions sizes are good. The staff are also very attentive, and helpful. Cocktails decent, too. We went for dinner as a group of 4; all had soft drinks and got some main currys, rice, naan and sides to share. Total came to £82 (before service)

Our favourite restaurant without a doubt! We don’t venture out much, but whenever we do this is our first choice. The food is delicious, so fresh & perfectly cooked, it’s the best quality food we’ve had, we’re so lucky that it’s right on our doorstep. The service is always 5* too, always friendly & attentive. We recently also asked them to do the rehearsal dinner for our wedding (32 people) & it was an absolute success. All of our guests left with big smiles & full bellies & all agreed it was the best Italian (& best restaurant) that they’d visited in a long long time. We had a few vegan, GF & guests with allergies, all were catered for & we’re really pleased with their food too. and they also had a part in our wedding - a wedding cheesecake! Would highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

As always, the food was delicious and great value. Highly recommended.
