A truly fantastic find. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and efficient. Two extra canapés were served in addition to the set price menu. Extremely good value. Can't wait to return for our Christmas get together in December

Went on a busy Saturday night for an anniversary dinner. Food was exceptional. Veggie and fish options good. Atmosphere nice and quiet. Timing sensible .Needed one more staff to provide service commensurate with food. Price very sensible for what we got. Little bits between courses a nice touch. Would definitely go back.

A birthday meal with family and friends.

Food was good, however the lunch menu (good choices of dishes)was a fixed price for three courses with no discount if you had less. Two ladies had 2 courses and my wife only had one. Although she only had one course she was still charged for a cup of coffee.

First time visit to this restaurant last night. Came for husband's birthday and had a wonderful time from start to finish. Service was attentive but not pushy, food was exceptional and lots of lovely little extras like delicious bread, canapés etc. Excellent value for money for the high level and quality of food we had. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and setting too. Already booked for our wedding anniversary 😍 ❤️.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Three courses, lots to choose from. Very attentive service, the staff really can't do enough, worth a visit everyone.

British fine dining in the middle of Sussex. The service is impeccable. You have to try the tasting menu if it's your first time.

Been here a couple times now, the food is always amazing. Staff went out their way to accommodate for my dairy intolerance too, even brought out alternative dishes for me. Such a great experience will always recommend to others. Will be back again for sure, great place for special occasions!

I'd say we had a pretty perfect meal today. This was out first visit and wont be the last. We were a table of 4 and all of us were very happy with our visit. The standard of cookery was very high and food full of flavour. Nothing was pretentious including efficient and relaxed service. Coffee was served after and not with deserts, which is always a major plus in my book. Well done to the team at The Wild Mushrom and thanks for a great meal.

Lovely restaurant! Food was delicious, would recommend the beef tartare, the sea bass and the pigeon. Very friendly staff too.

The food was perfection and I can honestly say one of the best meals I've ever eaten. We were a party of 8, the service was excellent and we will certainly be returning. A wonderful second visit. The staff are a credit to the restaurant - professional yet warm and friendly in perfect measure. The meals again were exceptionally fresh, full of flavour and well balanced. It's a small, intimate restaurant which can match a top London restaurant with it's menu. From the various fresh baked breads and delicious canapes to the sumptuous main meal - I honestly can't fault it. Ps: Thank you for the special treat we were given, it meant a lot x

Lovely setting, great service, fantastic bread! However the dish I ordered did not arrive as described. There was not a tuile in sight! We ended up leaving the restaurant before the final course we paid for as I was so disappointed.

Lunch today was absolutely amazing. The staff are wonderful nothing was too much trouble. My partner is unable to eat spicy food and only able to eat certain vegetables. I spoke to a member of staff yesterday explaining what he can and can't eat. The young lady made a note and gave it to the chef. The chef did my partner hus chosen meal.but without spice etc . How fantastic was that. Can't rate them high enough.. Definitely go there again.. Thank you Wild Mushroom so so much

This has to be one of the, if not the, best restaurant in the Hastings/St Leonards area. Everything about it is first class. No hesitation in recommending and suggest you go there asap.

Heard about this restaurant and glad to have visited for the first time recently. Personally found everything to be of high standard, and the food was amazing. We are planning to return for an evening meal with my family.

Lovely evening. Imaginative menus at a reasonable price. Food was excellent. Drinks and wine list are recommended. Service was friendly and efficient - not too formal with lots of smiles. We were staying with a friend but hope to be back soon. Update March 24 - came back with same friend and delighted that it’s just as we remembered! Another delightful evening with fabulous food and excellent wine. Bring an empty tummy!!

A wonderful set menu for our 20th anniversary. Beautiful food. The wild mushroom cappuccino soup was lovely. This is a restaurant that I would highly recommend for a special treat.

Very nice restaurant for a special evening meal.

We had a lovely meal which I think was good value when compared to the cost nowadays of pub thoroughfare, bearing in mind the little extras like canapés and amuses bouches. It was quiet, but understandable maybe for a Wednesday so the atmosphere was a bit flat, but we'll definitely go back

5 stars for food and service. Exceptional quality all round. The only thing and I am being a bit picky is the acoustics. When the restaurant is full it is hard to hear other people sitting on the same table.

This restaurant is a little hidden gem. We live quite close to the restaurant but have never got around to a visit. The restaurant is close to the road in Westfield so easy to find. Car park is a little small so I recommend an early sitting or perhaps a taxi. We had a table in the garden room which was very good and had a cosy feel about it. We had the quail and wood pigeon as the main couses and smoked salmon as starters. Well prepared and not over facing - was really good overall. Nice touch was small appetisers between couses that added to the experience. We cracked and had a pudding which rounded off the evening. For the two of us with tip around £110 - I was the only one drinking so included two large glasses of Pink Grigio. Unfortunately my wife was the designated driver but add about another £15 for a decent bottle. The only recommendation I can put here is I'm looking forward to our next visit - really enjoyed it.

It is quite a while since we visited the restaurant for various reasons. But the new staff are superb and the food was simply great. We shall be returning as regular diners in the future!!

We have been going to the Wild Mushroom for many years because of it's amazing food, friendly staff and the little extra touches that 'were' in place. Unfortunately, whilst the food and service is still excellent, we feel it's missing that little uniqueness it once had. You can no longer sit in the conservatory for a pre drink and complimentary canapés, and the coffee and complimentary sweet selection, which was always our favourite bit at the Wild Mushroom. We felt like it was the complete dining experience, and we always felt truly relaxed and spoilt when it was operated this way. Still amazing, but not quite the same experience as it was, which is a shame.

Really positive dining experience that is great value for money. Had the lamb rump and tarte tatin which were delicious. But was also generously spoiled with tasty bread, and appetisers to start off with. The parmesan shortbread was my absolute favourite. Would definitely recommend. Service and food are top notch!

Amazing meal. Was worried that portions would be small but totally full after the 3 courses. Nice touch having canapés and then apetizer.

Couldn't fault the venue, service or food and reasonably priced for the super quality food. A super discovery and somewhere we will return to.

The staff recognized me as Korean and thanked me. Thanks to the staff, I felt a little better despite the hot weather!! It's delicious, but it's a bit greasy if you eat it during the day, and it's even more embarrassing if you try to eat it with pigeons around.

Superb restaurant. Visited with friends for the second time last night. Attention to detail amazing in restaurant and kitchen. The chef obviously has a great understanding of food and ingredients. I eat out frequently and get fed up with the poor standard on offer. Having lived in East Sussex for nearly 30 years, you’d struggle to find a better restaurant in the area than Wild Mushroom.

Wonderful experience felt like a judge on masterchef. Food was beautifully presented, excellent quality and polite attentive staff. Lunch time set price menu allows you to relax and enjoy the food.

We'd heard good things about this place so had high expectations on finally getting to try it out. In short, our expectations were exceeded. Friendly efficient service, excellent food and decent value for money for food of this quality. Will definitely come again.

I love this restaurant! We used to live in Hastings and have eaten here several times. We have now moved away but visited when back to see parents recently. We've eaten in restaurants all over the place including London and this is still my favourite restaurant. Such great value for money. The food is excellent (including the complimentary canapes and appetiser)...the staff are excellent...the ambience is great. This is an all round quality place. The first time I ate hear was in 2009 and it has maintained a high level of quality. I salute Paul and Rebecca Webbe and their team 👏

Out for a special birthday dinner with friends. We all loved our meals and everyone's plates were clean except mine. I left some of the pigeon I ordered as it was tough in places which I was told by friends is usual in wood pigeon. I never order what I can cook myself so this was all such an adventure and an absolute delight. Service was fantastic too.

We booked lunch to celebrate a birthday. Everything was perfect; device, food and atmosphere!!

Still the best. We’ve been coming here for over a decade. We hadn’t visited for a while but did our usual New Years Day lunchtime meal. It was quite sad to see that Joel wasn’t here any more. He is a great chap and always made us feel welcome. We miss him. However, Olivia is absolutely bang on and you’d be hard pressed to find anyone as perfect a host as her. If we had a restaurant, we’d steal her! The menu is, as always, unsurpassed. I beg anyone to not find something on it that they would not want to eat. I would happily wolf down the lot. The food was the mutts nuts as always. This is a small cottage/house in the country, with a small kitchen (I’ve seen it) with a team of amazing chefs, and they produce the most incredible plates of food that are impossible to fault. It feels like a real treat when you eat here. I hope that feeling will never change. You WON’T regret it.

Had the set menu that is offered during the Christmas period. And well, it was absolutely delicious! £40 for a 3 course meal with nibbles with a extensive wine menu that is well priced. It started with a delightful "mushroom and chestnut cappuccino" (a soup) to start. The staff are attentive but not pushy or overbearing and were very lovely. We will be back next time we're in the UK!
