Thorpe's Wine Bar in Rother

Had a lovely meal here on the 1st December with some of my friends who I used to work with & the food was superb. The staff was excellent, very friendly & extremely helpful. Highly recommended for a night out at any time of the year Superb All Round

Lovely Tapas bar. We hadn't booked for a Saturday night but was lucky enough to get a table. It's a small atmospheric restaurant opened only in early evenings. A good selection of tapas and mains which we were told you could mix and match if you wanted. Excellent selection of wines and spirits. Staff very polite and helpful. Had a lovely evening sampling various tapas dished cooked fresh to order. A lovely restaurant with excellent food. Highly recommended but would definitely advise booking your table in advance to avoid disappointment.

Came here for a family private event. Lovely little place and well decorated. Staff were very friendly and outgoing and there is a huge variety of spirits. Food was excellent and well delivered for a large number of people. Highly recommend

Had a lovely meal last night with friends. A great atmosphere and the place was fully booked. Staff so friendly and the service was really efficient considering every table was booked . The pork belly was perfectly cooked and the trio lamb just pink so cooked to perfection. Our friends had duck and enjoyed their meals too. Great wine & gin choice too. We did the cheese and wine evening the other week and can say we was all equally impressed . Tess the manager makes the place a warm and welcoming environment. Thank you. I have to say I feel it’s the best place in Battle for pricing, quality and food with you feeling that you’re wanted . Keep it going Tess you’re doing an amazing job !!! From 4 very happy customers

Have been twice and going again in few days. Classy menu and nice venue. Very friendly staff. Adds a bit of sparkle to Battle High St. Would recommend.

Had dinner last night with the new chef’s menu. Absolutely delicious and fine dining at its best. Wonderful choice of wines with suggested pairings too. Highly recommended

Nice to see another restaurant having a go in Battle - refurbished to a high standard, very pleasant staff, good food & wines. Thorpe’s was the name of the shoe shop located here, back in the day - nice touch 🙌🏻

A really great place... great wine list...great tapas style food ..very friendly service

Visited Friday evening. Lovely place but the lighting is very bright and we had to sit at tables when "comfy chairs" would have been better. Good music was playing when we went in but this was turned off. Would visit again but would like it to be a little more relaxed

A very sophisticated wine bar with apparently 92 gins available as well! Enjoyed a selection of lite bites to go with our wine. The pâté was delicious. Will definitely come back next time I visit Battle.
