Went for late breakfast. Rather expensive, in view of the less than salubrious surroundings but cheery staff and excellent food. Tea served in china cups.

A jewel of a cafe and shop. Fresh, tasty produce, full range of hot refreshments. Excellent home cooked food. Reasonably priced, ample parking and well worth a visit. Your quintessential English farm shop and cafe. Lovely tea service, fresh flowers on tables - great atmosphere and an ideal place for a cream tea or cake and coffee. Highly recommended.

The Sunday roast , as always, was delicious but it seemed even more tasty than usual ( if that is possible!!) Roast turkey was scrummy and as a coeliac having gluten free Yorkshire pudding , gravy and cauliflower cheese is just wonderful. Roast beef was also excellent. Friendly staff , free parking and a lovely place with homemade cooking. Couldn’t manage a dessert but there were some good choices available including lemon cheesecake, treacle sponge, chocolate fudge cake and more! Another time !!! Will be back. Would recommend booking !

Really friendly and helpful staff. With one of our party Vegan and another vegetarian, the staff were very helpful and informative on the phone when booking and while eating. The food was also really tasty and lots of it. The breakfast were large as was the Mac and cheese. Cosy atmosphere too. Thank you

Excellent. We went for a brunch on a very miserable day and were greeted by a very friendly team. The brunch was excellent. Best sausages I've had in a long time.

You really don't know what the menu is going to be like till you get there. Then you're shown a blackboard - and there are also some everyday favourites on a bigger board. The food was delicious. The venison was very tender. Basically everyone cleared their plates. Highly recommended.

Had lunch here today. We were warmly greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. We soon had our food and drinks. The sandwiches were delicious and so was the coffee-made just how we like it! This is a very nice place to eat which seemed very popular we will definitely be back again!

I visited today with my daughter, who is a newly diagnosed Coeliac and chooses to be vegetarian which makes it a little easier for her to manage her condition. I must say that it was such a positive experience, nothing was too much trouble for the girls and we had a lovely lunch and a chat after. We felt so welcome and will look forward to coming again soon ❤️

This is unique and quaint. Service excellent and warm welcome given. It’s dog friendly for well behaved dogs too! Vegetarian food available. Baked Goats cheese delicious. You can buy excellent home made sausage rolls to take away or eat there.

Just a wonderful delicious Sunday roast - with 3 choices of meat ( we had turkey and beef) and vegetarian option. Served with stuffing, parsnips, roast potatoes , Yorkshire pudding, vegetables including cauliflower cheese and gravy and condiments!!! Just amazing and if you let them know they do gluten free gravy, stuffing, Yorkshire and cauliflower cheese too which was so tasty! Also other dishes on their menu. Sunday special Desserts change each week but there is always meringues, sundaes, I’ve cream , cake and much more. You really do need to book for a table on a Sunday. Family run by lovely people who work very hard. How they manage it from a quite small kitchen amazes us. Open every day. Recommend wholeheartedly.

Fairly unassuming from the car park, which is large. Indoor and outdoor seating in a marquee. Good choice of food items, suitable for a coffee and cake or a full-blown lunch. Good honest home cooking with friendly and attentive service. Sunday roasts throughout the winter months.

My brothers and I used the Hope Cottage Farm Shop for the catering of our late father's funeral. I can safely say the quality of food, presentation, selection was extremely high and value for money was also very good. Katie and her team provided an amazing service and would highly recommend.

Delicious Sunday roast - choice of 3 meats ( we had turkey). Gluten free option available- very tasty. Comes with all the trimmings - Yorkshire pud, stuffing, gravy and 4 different vegetables. Roast lunches finish soon for the summer BUT there are lots more tasty...

It’s rustic, it’s quirky, that’s what we like about it! The atmosphere is it’s relaxing and country. The staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them. And of course the food never disappoints! Did you know they cater for weddings and barbecues....

The family arranged a surprise birthday party for my mum in law on her 80th. So it was a private party and we had the whole place to ourselves. The staff was fantastic, food was out of this world. And mums cake was a work of art. Mum was so shocked, her face was a picture she thought she was going to the garden centre to look at plants. And instead she walked into a room filled with family, friends even her neighbours, totally recommend we had a brilliant time.

Visited for lunch yesterday with my mum, who uses a wheelchair. It's not entirely easy to access with wheelchairs, but quite doable and the staff were so kind and incredibly helpful.A lovely menu and the food was delicious. Great coffee too. So friendly. Nicely quirky...

A friend had recommended Hope Cottage to me so we thought we'd give it a go! I phoned and spoke to Katie who couldn't have been nicer. She even emailed me the menu options. I booked a table as there were 9 of us for a belated birthday lunch. She made the table look lovely with party sprinkles and lovely glasses and napkins. There was plenty to choose from on the menu, we were in fact spoilt for choice. A great venue and one we'll be returning to! Happy customers from age 1 to 77 😋

WOW.... Stumbled across this sweet little farm restaurant/cafe and just couldn't stop returning while on our Airbnb... We were a party of eight to celebrate a 70th birthday. The sandwiches were lovely with a great choice. One guest had the vegetarian selection. The scones were delicious. A great time was had by all. Thank you to the staff for being so helpful.

What a delightful hidden gem! A rustic cafe full of charm, provided Mum and I with coffee and scones.. the added bonus being that the lovely staff (who were a credit to the business) were also able to accommodate us with our vegan and gluten free requirements.. as well as welcoming my dog.
