I have used this pub occasionally for years. Had some very good times there and always enjoyed the real pub feel. Unfortunately this time, wow, what a difference. I had my go to meal of gammon, it was OK and that's not what I normally say after I've eaten there. Don't know what happening but would not recommend this place based on that. My friend had prawn tagliatelle main served very poorly in a pudding bowl.
Sorry that's not acceptable. Half a dozen prawns and some pasta at ÂŁ18 was very poor.
Great looking venue. Pool tables, bar food & premiership football on the TV are the attraction for us.
HOWEVERâŚThe food is ridiculously over priced but massively under delivered!!
ÂŁ17 for a Club SandwichâŚWithout fries!
Add on another ÂŁ5.50 for Chips..
ÂŁ17 for a Beef SandwichâŚAgain, without fries!âŚ..
So thatâs ÂŁ22,50 for a Sandwich & chips!!
ÂŁ18 for a bowl of Caesar Salad!!!!!!
ÂŁ18 for a Classic (meaning basic with a slice of Tomato & a lettuce leaf!) Burger with a scattering of chips thrown on the plate with an eggcup sized portion of coleslaw!
ÂŁ7.50 for dessert!
The Pool tables & cues are shabby nowadays & only one table is in working orderâŚCosting ÂŁ2 per game.
Add on large soft drinks for the kids & a couple of Pints & G&Tâs for the grown ups & it becomes a VERY VERY expensive trip to a local bar for a bite fo eat & watch the football while the kids shoot some Pool on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon!!!
Very disappointed with the menu & especially the quality of the food!âŚ
Shocked & bankrupt by the Prices!!!!

Do not order poached eggs. Firstly they forgot to serve me my eggs on my smashed avocado but they arrived in a bowl. They were most definitely not poached eggs but hard boiled eggs. When I went to ask for some fresh poached eggs they said that is how they have to cook them!! Awful. My poor daughter was so apologetic as she was treating me for Mothers Day!!
Never go there, zero customer service had to ask for menu after 15 minutes chose then told that wasn't on meal offer and gave us another menu another long wait had to wave at them to take order went out of their way to avoid eye contact
No garden peas. When fish chips came got piece of flat bread! Asked for bread and butter brought plates with two slices thin sliced white bread still half frozen not even cut in half and rock hard. butter
There was 3 staff but most of time they were hiding away to stop having to serve.
They were in polite heard them bring food
to one table and say" there you are"
We await what happens at breakfast tomorrow
Premier Inn need to be reading these reviews and do some customer training
In the past, the food has always been great, but over the past year or so,the food is becoming tasteless.I've tried a few options on the menu, but each one has been disappointing.I doubt I will be ordering from there again. The place seems to change ownership every now and then, guess that means different cooks.this is the worst it's been for years. It's a shame because it's very close to me and used to be so good
The person who takes orders on the phone, is so bloody rude and too impatient.
I just tried to order using my card and because it was declined, he hung up on me because he wouldn't wait 15s for me to get another card.
He even tried calling me back on a mobile number multiple times, texting me also.
I was regularly ordering from here but not no more, I would never hang up on a customer like that at my job.
Disgusting.
