The best restaurants in South East

Whilst up from Devon, visiting my sons, helping with one, moving property. They, along with their girlfriends took me here last night. Fantastic boozer, full of people, many liked like they were locals. Very friendly bar staff, great array of drinks, opting for one of my favourite ales, Ringwood Fortyniner. Bar this pub being very local to one of my son's, main reason they took me here was for the Kebabs. They were awesome, as were the couple running the facility. This boozer had a great atmosphere and I'll most definitely be visiting again, next time I'm up.

Fish and chips was cooked fresh each time we went. Large portion of fish and chips was absolutely huge, when ordered a medium the fish was fairly small in comparison but again was fresh and well cooked. Good service. The best curry home-made sauce we have had in years! Scampi was good.

The flavours were nice but the meat was bizarre. Alleged chicken in the curry were thin uniform squares that did not look like chicken nor taste like chicken. It had no flavour and was a strange squishy texture. Same for the meat in the chow mein. Shame and wouldn't recommend.

Pizza was cold ,no test at all ,not recommend.

The opening hours is terrible. The store should open all day and 7 days should be same opening hours. 12:00 to 23:00

Used to frequent often under the previous owners. Sadly will not be in future, quite possibly the smallest "large kebab" a third of the usual size, lettuce going brown and the price has increased. Very disappointed.

Ordered a home delivery while on holiday. Firstly surprised it was cash on delivery - had to scrape around between us for enough. Delivery then took forever - despite 2 phone calls to chase it up it took 90 minutes from ordering online. We nearly cancelled (I suppose the one advantage of cash), but glad we didn't as the food was actually excellent. Large portions, lots of chunky vegetables in the rice dishes, rich and tasty curries. All correct and piping hot.

Great old style cafe/bakery foods good and at a decent price also got some tasty treats to bring home with us very yummy .Definitely recommend we always come here when in Hastings.

Lovely pub, great atmosphere. Really welcoming and friendly. Nice to be able to take the dogs in, the food was Devine and thoroughly enjoyed it. We went on Saturday and went back for Sunday lunch because we loved the food so much. Highly recommend

Always go there for coffee and snack on a Sunday after walking. Always excellent service and good food and drink. Lovely seating on the veranda too!
