It used to be a good joint but now has been closed

Used to be great, now it's not. Foods gone downhill bigtime, they seem to be messing around with the menu, changing it for the worse. My last meal was just odd-tasting mush.

Bit pricey for noodles however they do taste great and you get a large portion - I can never finish mine. Staff are nice too. Update: haven't been for a long while as the food kept not being fully cooked but we decided to give them another try; new staff, very friendly and the food was great. Even have bowls now if you eat in. Will return and hope the good service and food continues.

The food is good don’t get me wrong, but the customer service is terrible, I came around 6:30pm wanting to eat in, no rice left, we couldn’t even eat in a bowl we had to eat in a take away container, and the excuse they gave us is that the dishwasher is broken and they will need to wash the bowls by hand. They close at 10 and ran out of rice when we got there around 6:30. What a joke.

Worst place to eat in Reading by far! Cold, flavourless mush.

The food is good, though more mix and match options could be provided. The service was quick and excellent, simply loved it. However the environment could be made a little more vibrant.

Just wolfed down a delicious stir fry with veggie base, chicken and szechuan sauce. This seems like a healthier option than many quick lunch places in town, the staff were friendly and the portion was great for the price. I'll definitely be coming back

Disappointing, the lady serving didn’t explain the menu and didn’t help at all. Bland, boring, waste of money! will not be returning.

The food is nice but it’s really unorganised. My order was messed up twice. We decided not to complain as we were in a bit of a rush and didn’t want to waist any more time. Staff are nice but it just seems like they really don’t know what they’re doing.

1st lunch here …. Everything was fab , great staff service , quick and really tasty food and great value for money , will be back

Oct 2022 - By far the BEST food in Reading, HIGHLY recommend. Staff are always friendly, food is amazing and tastes incredible! Love that it's all fresh and cooked in front of you. Introduced my whole office to it and they've all loved it and are true converts (we've tried a lot of restaurants in Reading!). Lunchtime meal deal is awesome value for money. I tend to get the veggies with chicken and either teriyaki or Thai yellow curry sauce.

Never rated an Asian style food place badly before but this had to be done. The food served was barely warm, I ordered mix meat, all of the meat was beyond rare and cold. My colleague ordered a duck dish and that arrived cold too. Seems like the dish was put in the wok until the noodles went soft because that was about it. We took the dishes back, chef apologised and said it shouldn't have been served like that, but it weren't much better when it returned. Hot and steaming but still uncooked. Hours later, bad taste in our mouths and poorly stomachs. Very unfortunate as the place looks appealing to the eye.

Food are Lovely and cheap , lunch for £7 with drink But the shop looks not really clean 😑

I visited a few other Wok to Walk places in London and was always impressed by the food quality and the way it was prepared. This place instead, gave off a really powerful fast-food vibe (i know that's kinda what it is but the other shops did a better job at masking it - if that makes sense). Not impressed really with this place in Reading

Staff was friendly, but the food was poor quality

The vegan wok was really disgusting the noodles and the vegetables were not cooked properly. We had the wok earlier from reading itself it was good and liked the service as well but this time it was really disappointing Had a very bad experience Will never visit again.

We waited around 45 mins to be delivered and they called us to say that some ingredients were not available and had to cancel the order, furthermore they offered our meal for free the next day. Surprisingly the next day they charged us £35 for the same order and said that they didn't mean exactly that? The food was a waste of money (and time).

Ive been there twice lately and I was very satisfied. Wasn't sure after reading the latest reviews but I love my wok and decided to give it a go! The staff were very polite and they asked me if a wanted an extra bowl for my little daughter. As for the quality of the food, a bit sweet at the end but that's the deal. They cannot please everyone. I will definetely go again! Thank you and keep up the good wok!

I have ate in many wok to walk. But this one was worst. I ordered jasmine rice with chicken. I saw a small girl working as employee who was getting the rice from some cling film which was stored before. Food was not good quality and was salty. Don’t waste your money.

We had a really horrible experience here this evening. They must consider re-looking at their staff here, who are ill behaved and aren’t apologetic to their mistakes. We ordered two portions of Wok, vegetarian and with out egg, as wife allergic to egg. Eating egg might land her in hospital.. first they served us wrong order on the first wok!! grain instead or noodles! on pointing this out they did accept the fault accepted to change it, no problem it happens... in the meantime second portion of Wok got served.. Wife started eating it and she isn’t familiar with taste of egg. I saw it had egg in it, stopped her. Otherwise she may have eaten it all without realising and landed in hospital.. not good guys!! Whilst all this was happening, corrected portion of first portion wok got served.. again it wasn’t edible!! It had insane amount of chillies, almost triple than the normal.. not sure if this was on purpose or a mistake!! Pic attached here!! Please be careful!! You could have landed us in hospital this evening, not once but twice!!

I used to eat there before and it was good, but after this meal I’ll think twice to go for it again. Too much seasoning and sauce, more then noodles, veggies was like just fresh chopped and not cooked at all. No thanks.

Awful food and awful service, Food was cold and asked for refund but not given, Offered to reheat the meal????????????? Couldn’t cook it right first time so didn’t want it a second time, lady next me complained her food was cold and accepted the reheat ?????????? Very bad attitude from the long haired Asian guy, had he of been out and about on a Saturday night I probably would of decked him his attitude was that bad, Not the way to treat paying customers or anybody, Would suggest: Staff training in cooking and attitude towards the customers

Always had wok to walk in london and loved it so i thought this one would be the same. Highly highly disappointed. My food was burnt and because it was burnt it tasted bitter. When ordering i saw that the other order was burning too because the girl was looking for a box to put the food in. When she found it. The food at the bottom was burnt and instead of not putting the burnt bits in the box, she scraped the pan and put all of it in the box and gave it to the customer. Thought it was a one off but i guess not as my food was like that too. Never again.

First time eating here. Thought it would be a nice treat for me and my lady after a busy day at work. Absolutely appalled at how my partners food was given to the wrong table then mine arrived cold took it back and was just tossed up in the wok again. Finally got mine then waiting a long time for my partners food hers finally arrived as I nearly finished mine and hers was also cold. A table opposite received there food piping hot. When I told them my partners was cold the staff starting muttering under there breath. Made me feel like I was being a nuisance. If the 3 members of staff actually worked together and not just leave one to cook and prepare whilst other two chatted and on there phones, it may have been a more enjoyable afternoon.

Not the friendliest staff that's for sure. But the food is really good and reasonably priced.

The most disgusting food I have ever had. Ordered 3 dishes, paid £25 and left them all untouched. No wonder why they didn’t have any customers Saturday evening while all other restaurants were fully packed. Disappointed!

Very watery and bland. Wasn't cooked enough too expensive for what it was. The girls behind the counter were very welcoming and friendly though. Although the owner was miserable and the reason we did not sit in, he started moaning about me paying with a £50 note and started shouting over all the customers. Very unprofessional.

Visited here for the first time yesterday, didn't have a clue what to order, luckily I was greeted by staff members who had great customer service skills, Steve and Katrina kept answering all the questions I had and took time to make sure I made the right decision on what to buy. Thanks to their help, the food I had was great and was good value for money. I'll definitely return to try different combinations!

Delicious food, generous portions and quick service. Eat in or take out (eat in, the portions ate larger ;). Cheapest is around 8.75, including a drink. A few deals too

Been to many wok to walks. This one is actually amazing. The chef/counter guy Stephan is an amazing bloke. Always makes nice conversation, makes top notch food and is very polite. Love this place. 10/10 would recommend.

Food was great and proportion was huge, service was good and food was prepared quickly .

Although the veg and chicken were cooked well, the sauce was gaggingly salty and the dish was swimming in it. Seriously, the pot was 1/3 full of sauce when I had eaten the meal! Won’t go there again

The food was so good here. Prepared quickly enough and served in a nice hearty proportion. Not bad for £7 (April 2021) which included a drink.

I used to order food delivery from this place quite often. Tasty noodles though a bit pricey. Today I was at the mall and decided to check out the place and get a take away. It turned out to be a bad idea, the experience ruined my favourite deliveroo choice 😞 The staff was so rude that I had to leave empty handed and absolutely mortified.

I asked for vegitarian noodles and she served me noodles with fried egg. I only realised when opened box to eat on riverside stairs. When I realised that noodles are not vegitarian and has something like meat.i went to the shop and guy on till tried to explain me that egg and fish are vegitarian. Refused to help. Very rude behaviour!! He thinks vegan is vegitarian!! How a person in food store don't know the difference in veg and non veg food, so ignorant.

Good selection of items to mix and match. Freshly cooked to order. However the servings are not very large and may leave those feeling especially hungry wanting more.

Pleasant mishmash of noodles and flavor. Basic seating not enhanced by social distancing. I had to move my chair everytime someone wanted to dispose of their trash. Quite expensive if you need to add combos to a basic noodle dish. EACH add on is £2.50. Could definitely be cheaper!

Egg noodles, chicken, cashews and hot Asia sauce with a sachet of hot sauce is the worthy selection.

The staff was a little bit rude and no smiles. However the great thing about it is I can pick how I want my meal so I can personalise it. It tasted delicious and they had boxes so you can take some home

A cool new outlet in Reading Oracle to taste fast Asian Food. The service is fast and the staff efficient. The prices are reasonable. Must try.

Absolutely best place to eat. Everything is nice and fresh,prepared on the go, noodles are fantastic and choices are plenty;veggies,meat. From mild to spicy. I strongly recommend udon noodles with katsu chicken and some veggies. Fantastic kind and smiling staff. I'm coming all over from Maidenhead just to have my noodles from time to time. You doing great job guys.

Good noodle shop, can be seen as a bit pricey but they got to pay their rent i suppose. You can mix and match any ingredients as you like. The food is cooked right in front of you ! if they could use different pans for cooking vegetarian stuff I would love to visit more often !

Good food, quick and polite service. Wireless charging for phones is amazing.

I will definately be going back! I was served by a very friendly and helpful staff member who gave me knowledgeable advice, on which sauce would compliment the base and topping I'd chosen. Without mentioning names, it was a by far a better service than other noodle shops on the high street.

Nice and easy lunch, friendly staffs, but lit bit pricy, small portion.

Flavours very nice, had beef which was good however the prawns were tiny, no flavour and had 2 in my dish. I paid £8.70 for Beef, Prawns, Nuts and Veg. It was a very small portion for such a lot of money. Nice taste but I shall not be going again based on the portion size especially the lake of prawns.

Very nice noodles with great vegetarian and vegan options. The noodles are reasonably priced, and taste great! Staff are friendly and food arrives quickly.

I went today the Staff were friendly and helpful the food came fast and was good the property was well menatan and clean and well worth the price. Overall I enjoyed my experience and will be back soon I have recommended this to all my friends.
