Got the order wrong, meat wasn’t tender and the dish was dry. No sauce in the curry goat. Not worth the price. Overall not a great experience

There was no gravy with my curry goat and rice and peas 2nd visit now, wont be going back, very disappointing as i always like to support black business.

Ordered a whole Jerk chicken, expecting a whole chicken. Not too much to ask right? Wrong! Got 4 pieces of bony chicken back, diced up, no drums and a little bit of breast - basically very little meat for £25. Also the jerk chicken was not authentic, there was some horrible fake jerk sauce squeezed on top. Flavour was ok otherwise but ruined by the sauce Large mutton curry was a very ungenerous portion. Maybe one scoop of rice, one scoop of mutton, was only a few chunks. Overall really disappointed. Very much wanted to support this business as they are serving food from my culture, but I won't be going back, certainly not for a long time

Why do you dowse every meal in sweet and sour sauce?

OMG! The appearance of the food was ridiculous!! The meat size is horrible. I’ve mix to meat, rice and peas, salad and coleslaw. For £15!! Enough rice to feed the five thousand…. Enough meat to feed a toddler.! The taste of the food is horrible. The rice was not even cooked!! After all the hype…. The food was dead first, and last time go in there.!!

First time visiting - A few things not available on the menu, Got both orders wrong and we only realised when sat in the carpark. The food wasn’t nice at all. Fried chicken coated in awful tasting sticky sauce that not only made it soggy but also cold. The food has barely any flavour and the quantity is not worth the high price. The presentation of the food also needs improving. I totally understand mistakes happen and these issues are easy to rectify so I’ve given 3 stars to be fair. Please improve as I’m sure once these are sorted , it will be a delight to try JamRock again! 🙂

I ordered on Deliveroo, the restaurant sent the wrong food. I then had to go and collect my food in person and when I collected it, items were missing and they said they didn't have it in stock. But yet they still had advertised it on Deliverio and taken payment. The person/teenager on front of house had no customer service skills and whoever was out back in the kitchen did nothing to help rectify the situation. Poor customer service!

Was served by the 2 lovely young ladies here last night. Kids meal very good value and pleased to say they do REAL jerk chicken - on charcoal drum with sauce afterwards. Best jerk chicken outside Brixton.

He’s a crook They charge you full price for a large meal and when you open your bags at home you found totally different order having more than one time not just a mistake

Meat was tender and nice as was rice however no flavour. A tad disappointed as I expecting that Caribbean kick and didn't get it..... More seasoning please... Good customer service

The woman behind the counter is just beautiful. My goodness have mercy parn me. The food was great but because she served me the food taste even better. Anytime I’m in Reading. A deso me a guh!

First it's a very well presented place I had to wait a little for someone to come to take my order when I got home the food looked and smelt delicious and tasted delicious, my only complaint is the same as all Carribbean takeaway's in Reading a large meal for £10 fine by me but should be call a large rice and bones coz surely the price is based on the meat portion but the quantity doesn't reflect that and what's with choping the oxtail into bite size pieces where the sharp bones cut and bruise your gums come on guy balance the scales equal meat equal rice that's only fair people will buy your food coz it is really delicious no matter the price but my gums are sore right now. I love to support new businesses always have always will but quality will always be remembered. When my gums get better I will place my next order it's the best tasting Carribbean takeaway in thi town blessings.

Horrible experience. I ordered a jerk wrap, asked for no tomatoes as I’m allergic and asked for it to be really hot. As you can see from the (unwanted and unmelted) cheese, it was very cold. If I hadn’t checked the wrap beforehand, I could’ve reacted badly. Too much salad cream, not enough chicken?!what a pitiful excuse of a wrap. Hardly any chicken. Took 20 minutes to get my order, props to the man serving as he noticed his colleagues doing nothing. The service has dipped lately and the quality gone down

Picked up goat curry and jerk chicken from here, delicious. Good portions for a regular, included rice salad and coleslaw £8. Happy days.

Went there for the first time and ordered curry goat. It was nice but could’ve done with being spicier and a touch more salt. The meal came with rice n coleslaw. I ordered a large portion - felt they could’ve served more meat in the meal. Everything was nice but could’ve been better. Also they didn’t wrap the box in cling film when I ordered it as a takeaway which they should’ve done to keep from spilling and keep the heat in.

Best jerk I have ever had. First time today. Customer service is fantastic, very friendly and welcoming. The environment is CLEAN. Even if you take a peak at their kitchen from behind the counter, you can see that your food is being prepared well. The food is 10/10. If you needed a green light on whether to buy from here, this is it! I hope to see more openings from Jamrock. You’ve made an impression!
