I don't understand why there's a queue for tables for chicken and chips. They go on like it's a 7 star restaurant. So after the wait to get into this prestigious restaurant they had completely ran out chicken. I had to improvise and order wings which were tiny which I could have got for a quarter of the price from Peri Peri on Whitley street. It wasn't my idea to come here, it was one of my boys. I'm not that stupid to be bowling into places like this. It gets 2 stars. One for being open and one for being halal. The racist guy that doesn't like the fact it's halal should come see me when he's got a minute. I'll show him what halal is.

Always great service by the whole team! Polite, warm, and welcoming. Walked in and got a seat in under five minutes and ordered via the app, and we were eating in Super Quick time. The food was served hot with the great Nandos taste you love. I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience in any Nandos..

As we can't book in advance, we were asked to walk-in. There was a big queue but we could sit which made it easier with kids. The staff/Manager were very nice and managed to accommodate us. They even gone over and beyond by placing 2 tables together so we can all be together.

Not a big fan of Nandos but the food has always been decent. Service is Meh and the atmosphere is often bland. But I like chicken and I like Nandos chicken

The manager Ramzi is amazing, he is all over the place makes sure everyone is served, he made our experience superb. I highly recommend the place. Ask for Ramzi and he will make it happen.

Terrible Food was left sat on pass for a considerable time to point fries were cold Staff ignored the food on the pass serving other orders Asked for refund staff member had no idea how to do it and his service was awful Duty manager (Marta) stated refund to card would be following day and would confirm with an email I’m still waiting for it and will be looking at legal action to get the refund 7/8/24 Another day passes still waiting for my refund or an email to confirm it with a formal apology 12/08/24 Still no refund or contact This is a joke No apology is good enough now a WEEK later Pull your finger out Nando’s and sort this complaint

Very nice and up to the standard food. Pittas are amazing and the chicken is fresh and flavorful. Must try and have even if you have tried Nando's anywhere else.

Had a meal here on 28/07/24 and as usual the food was fantastic. It was heaving and the staff were still absolutely spot on! Great team work and had everything running like a well oiled machine! Kudos.

Stopped for lunch with my daughter ordered half chicken with 2 sides and the chicken came out half cooked, pink skin told Manager and got fobbed of that it was supposed to look like that, totally patronising saying it was supposed to look like that, disgraceful!! One cooks with chicken all the time, you eat at other establishments and you know when a meat is not cooked!! Definately would NOT recommend this branch unless u want food poisoning.

It’s Nando’s so you get what you expect but last 3 times it’s been good but 3 times before that it was terrible so you just have to get lucky. The drinks may as well say the regular coke has no sugar because fairly sure the machine has been messed up for a year because the coke is always terrible. Overpriced as well no way 4 thighs 2 sides and a drink should be over £20 when the atmosphere is mid.

This was the size of 4 chicken thighs. The price has gone up but the thighs looked like they had been cut into half or thirds. Spoke to staff who said that's how they received it from head office so that's what you got. Been here numerous times and was really taken back by whole experience. Talk about maximising profits at detriment of customer. If you are selling 4 thighs, you should be giving 4 thighs not 4 halves/thirds of a thigh

All good, the glasses aren't that clean but I was told they are, it's where they stack them on top of each other. Other than that, can't complain really. It was busy but didn't wait long at all for our food 👍🏻

Best Nandos in the area, friendly service

I went for dinner at short notice and although it was busy I got a table quickly. I ordered using the QR code which meant I didn’t need it leave my bag. The Caesar salad was very tasty. I had the chicken and rice which was delicious and hot.

Food was very good except chicken was slightly dry, still very open and nice atmosphere 😁

Great place to be with family and also with friends. Place is quite big, it got two floors personally I like upper floor which gives you a better view. Ambulance is very good.

Service was very fast considering we left work for a quick cheeky nandos lunch. Staff were attentative and helpful. Ordering the food was easy and arrived very quickly. Food came in hot. It Is a popular nandos considering rush hour is full with corporates. I will say it does get full quickly so best to arrive as early as possible.

A good chain restaurant that originates from South Africa. I like the chicken wings most. They provide you with different levels of spicy sauce. Interesting.

Unfortunately this is the worst experience with Nado's I've ever endured. My glass had some sort of cream on the inside from where it hadn't been washed, there were ants all over the table and to top it off the food was below average. Sorry to say but it's a BIG thumbs down from me, if I had the option to score zero I would have.

My family visited Reading Nando's - Gateway. It only took 20 minutes to get the food out, which was very impressive as the order was worth £70. Food portion was good, and the food quality was great. Our first host, Helal (order 25 at 1:39pm) was fantastic, he was accommodating and very friendly. However, we have given a relatively low service score because when we ordered an extra £73 for take-away, our second host who shall remain nameless (order T2-326 at 2:23pm), was quite rude and inconsiderate. The £73 order was carelessly stuffed inside a singular bag that was clearly leaking and was nearly going to collapse at the bottom. Not only was he careless and inconsiderate, but he was unapologetic and indifferent to almost causing all of that food to go to waste had my mother not caught the faulty attempt at packing the food. It is a real shame because if not for this encounter with the rude and lazy second host, our experience would have been perfect all around.

The staff members are consistently friendly and welcoming. A special shout out to Hamdi who served us graciously and to Khamis who attended to our every need making for an impeccable dining experience.

Nandos bruv innit, chicken was burnt in places hidden with a big dollop of sauce, but supposed to be char grilled I guess cuz, welcome was typically brief....how many... food arrived quick though.... guy who cleared the table was a bit of a roadman...... a thoroughly typical Nandos experience....... born of the streets.... would go back though for the authentic experience

Excellent nandos! Popped in for a quick work lunch. Food nice and fast, fresh and really tasty! Busy but that just added to the atmospheric, service wasn't affected. All in all, can't fault it!

Called in advance to make a booking but restaurant refused bookings. Walked in on the off chance but place was packed and there was over a 60 minute wait for a table. Surely allowing table booking would make wait times more manageable for the restaurant?

Very busy popular with younger people, I prefer traditional restaurants with service, but Nandos very pleasant staff, and an acquired taste.

Went for a family meal today and wasn’t happy with the cleanliness overall. Untidy chairs and tables, very dirty toilets, water dripping on soft drink machine, oily sofas. Not really a good place for a family meal.

Our family had a takeaway from Nando’s today and it was absolutely amazing. There were eight of us; ordered online and picked up the food from the restaurant. All items were present; staff was lovely and offered us extra sauce. We ordered a variety of different food and it was all delicious. Cooked perfectly 🥰 definitely recommend 👍

Went on a Sunday lunch time & it wasn’t busy at all. Lots of seating and parking. A young lad seated and served us & he was really nice. He was personable & attentive. Great service & I would go back.

Awful system, too busy and forgetting drinks. The person who took the order from my son gave a funny look when he only asked for ONE glass to go with a bottle of wine which was rude! Had to remind them about the wine and it got slammed on our table. The food wasn't hot in temperature. I can't believe orders and takeaway orders all being done in the same area. Awful experience - won't go there ever again!

Ambience is good, plenty of seating but still quite busy so have to wait in a queue to be seated, could have delays up to 30 minutes is what I've heard from friends who regularly visit this place. Plenty of parking as it is located within a retail park just off the junction 11 of M4 motorway. This is one of the few halal Nandos in the UK. Food is fairly standard grilled chicken as you would get at any nandos which is alright but too bland for my pakistani taste buds. I am more used to of chicken roasted with masala immersed deep within the meat and not just as a layer of topping on skin, but that's just a personal preference. I think Pepe's do much better tasting grilled chicken, Nandos is just a bigger brand. Spicy rice and fries were OK. In desserts I had Choc-A-Late cake with ice cream that was pretty good in taste.

We came here for an early dinner after some shopping in reading centre. The restaurant is conveniently located by the Oracle shopping centre and carpark. we had not been to Nando's before and got an explanation from a friendly waiter how to place out order. The food was nice and served quite quickly. It was overall a nice experience and the prices are reasonable.

Worst one I’ve been to Food came out cold and missed our chicken wings, 15 mins into eating we tell a staff member who was extremely rude to us/ annoyed she had to rectify the situation. 5 mins later she comes back and slams it on our table (so hard my partner was shocked) without saying sorry or thanks or anything like that, mutters something under her breath and walks off. Won’t be back, also can help identifying the rude & unhelpful staff member (purple hair & piercings).

Only Halal Nando’s in Reading. Location is great, lots of parking. Toilets are located upstairs. Not wheelchair accessible. Food quality is great. Everything is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended

First time eating in and it was lovely. We had a big table and there was a wait but it was well managed.
