Zerodegrees Restaurant & Microbrewery in Reading

Came here as part of a big group last night and cannot fault the staff and service provided however the food was massively sub-par given how expensive it was. We had pre-ordered our starters and mains, I had ordered the teriyaki chicken wings for starter and they were absolutely flavourless to the point I had to ask for some sweet chilli sauce to dip them in because they tasted like they hadn't even been seasoned. For main I ordered an American pizza which was fine but nothing special. A friend of mine ordered the teriyaki stir-fry and it came looking like a Chinese takeaway chow mein. I ordered the peanut and chocolate stack for dessert which was nice enough but very sickly and I could only half of it, but obviously I understand this is down to personal taste. I got a frozen daiquiri which had very little flavour and tasted like I was eating plain ice and their cocktails are not cheap I then ordered a drink with memories in the name which was nicer but still not worth the price tag. My meal came to around £45 and just wasn't worth it, I wouldn't ever go back here for food and I wouldn't order their cocktails.

Lovely pizza restaurant. Bargain lunchtime deals. Our waitress Rebecca was delightful...so smiley and helpful. As a microbrewery we were expecting ales but lager was the order of the day but it still went down well ! Would definitely return when next in Reading

Had an amazing evening at Zero Degrees, it was a leaving event, the staff had shut off an area of the bar for our little event. The service was excellent and food was very good, couldn't ask for a better evening.

On 10th February we celebrated my husband’s 40th bday along with 40 of his closest friends. The event took place on the balcony that was exclusively only for us. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have found the perfect venue for this occasion. From the very first enquiry Rebecca was a legend providing the necessary details along the process, totally supportive and accommodating. This surprise party wouldn’t have happened without you. Thank you. Shoutout to the lovliest bartender George who was behind our private bar. And thank you to the chefs for the delicious food and the rest of the crew for a fantastic service.

Came to the Mid month madness on Monday with a group of girl friends and had an absolutely lovely time. Delicious pizza, great beers and plenty of games of pool, alongside a fantastic quiz. Thanks to Fiona for letting me know it was happening and helping to organise, deffo up for this again!

Received menus from a waitress without any conversation not even a hello or offering of drinks. Ordered food and drinks and then was left - no one came to see if our food was okay, we had to get up to ask for more sauce and had great difficulty trying to get anyone’s attention for the bill. Once paid, there was mo word of thanks, have a nice day or farewell. Such a shame as the food was lovely and I was considering hiring the private area for a birthday however the service I received has ensured I will not be returning at any point

Always come here for drinks as it has a great atmosphere and mango beer. The pizza is decent too but stay away from the garlic and herb wings. They were bland, chewy and looked anaemic. We never leave food but we did on this occasion which was disappointing.

No longer serving mussels They no longer have mussels on the menu which frankly was the attraction to keep going back here . You can get much better pizzas , much better beer nearby in places with atmosphere. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and we didn’t even stay for a beer when we realised they stopped serving mussels.

Christmas works do. So impressed with the evening of a whole, great atmosphere, beef was so tender and the mussels were amazing. Thank you to the team and we can't wait for next year.

Hugely disappointing. This place used to be great years ago, but this time I was served a stone cold pizza accompanied by chicken wings that tasted like they were bought Asda Smart Price and cooked in a microwave. Paid £40 for the privilege. The beer is still good though, so by all means get a drink but do not eat here unless the UN has sent you.

Literally only 3 beers on tap. Disappointing to say the least. One pint and we moved on.

The food was packed with flavour and every mouthful was delicious. I was blown away by the level of technique and the balance of flavours. Hour and a half wait for mains, then one of our party is told her choice is no longer available after 90 mins wait, and within minutes they try and send the rest of the mains to our table. Add to that being incorrectly billed for. Shame really as the food was overall fairly good, but the staff struggled under pressure. Very disappointing. When Zero Degrees get it right they are fantastic, but when they get it wrong... it's not great 😕

Went for some drinks and bits of food with a few mates, hadn't been for about a year but the place has really improved, service is much better, food is good and the general atmosphere/vibe has definitely improved.

I would just like to say, I have been here before a few times, but tonight, has been such a lovely evening. I had the Picante pizza and my partner had the Americana and they were the best pizzas we've had here. And the service from Frankie and Fiona I believe their names were, was incredible. The restaurant was clearly busy but they made sure we were accommodated for did everything they could to make our date night so lovely. Can't wait to come back here again soon

My friend and I had a lunch deal here today - mussels, one of our favourites. The vibe was good with good background music, mussels were made to order, service was excellent - a big thumb up to Beatrice, who took care of us, checked occasionally whether everything was fine, and offered to provide help with a big smile! Really nice micro brewery that seems to focus on producing lagers and pale ales, with the very occasional darker drink. Food is mainly pasta and pizza, but the pizza was hand made and particularly nice with interesting topping combinations. Staff were lovely and enjoyed talking about their produce. There is plenty of outside and indoor seating so it is suitable for all occasions and types of social sessions.

Been to this place a few times already and always keep coming back. Really relaxed atmosphere with lots of variety of music being played, but not too loud. Really recommend the beer, although not the cheapest, but appreciate it being made at the place. Pizzas and some pastas are really tasty. Maybe the quality and efficiency of the service is varied at times.

Excellent selection of beers and wine. Food menu is also varied and good, especially the Mussels. Look out for the discounted period on food after the main lunch period. Heidi behind the bar was very nice and helpful.

I came across this restaurant on a damp Monday evening and was not disappointed. The meal was excellent, as was the beer. I also got over £8 off with their offer. The service was great and the staff very friendly and obliging.

£14.95 for their ultimate sundae which looked like something a child had made with digestive biscuits, a twirl randomly stuck in, a couple of bits of strawberry and some marshmallows, not even any sauce? I was embarrassed for them… Chef apologised for replacing biscoff biscuits with digestives and offered another dessert (which was half the price). Appreciated the gesture but not sure what he was thinking sending that out in the first place. Suggest you remove from the menu and bring back the Nutella pizza which was what we had originally come for.

This was a flashy pub to go for a drink at, with a well-styled bar and leaves for decorations! The staff were friendly, seating is comfortable and cleanliness had been maintained, although the prices are a bit high so I went for a half a pint.

Brewery Zero Degrees is a local brewery in Reading, and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience there. The brewery prides itself on its hand-crafted beers, and you can tell that they take great care in creating each and every one of their unique brews. The brewery has a wide selection of beers on tap, including a pilsner, an American ale, an IPA, a fruit beer, and some specials. Been twice now, once in summer once in Winter. During summer, we were sitting outside in a nice shady spot with an ice cold beer brewed on site. Perfection. During winter, we ate delicious wings and pizza.

Visited here after leaving booked venue, due to poor service and lack of menu items. Couldn't have been better. Outstanding customer service from both Angela and Izy. Excellent food with prompt service. Will definitely be back to support this new team 😁

Every time I come here with my wife or friends the experience is great. The food is fabulous and even this description was exceeded tonight by what my wife described as the best Gluten Free pizza she has ever had. But more than that the staff are fabulous. We had a slight issue with my wife's cocktail which I will not explain because it is not important..... what is important is that the staff listened and sorted it........ thank you. The atmosphere is wonderful and don't get me started on their mango beer and black lager.....OMG!!
