Went to Beefy's for dinner and the service was shocking. The restaurant was not busy and they had lots of staff in. A dirty glass was left on our table after the waiter said he had just set it up and cleaned it for us. One waitress was incredibly rude and ignored us when we said “excuse me” to ask for the bill, she looked at us then kept walking. Chips were not bought out with the Cajun chicken, we had to ask for this. Gravy was not bought out with the children’s sausages and mash, we had to ask for this. Never asked if we wanted anything else with our meal like condiments. Never asked if everything was ok with the food etc. We ordered a second round of drinks and we never received them. Very poor service and would not go back. Used to be a great restaurant with staff that cared! We walked in excited and left feeling dissatisfied, disappointed and upset.

My friend and I had a vegan afternoon tea at Beefys yesterday to celebrate her Birthday and we couldn't fault anything. The food was lovely, plenty to choose from and well presented, and the staff were fabulous, just the right side of making sure we had everything we needed, without hovering around you all the time. Will visit again and would definately recommend.

Had supper two nights during a conference. The restaurant was half full. It took 45 min to get a beer. Over an hour to get a burger. We got wrong orders constantly, then it took 30 min to get the right order. Had lamb first night, it tasted rutting ram. Last night I had a half baked fish and chips. This place really have to shape up in order to make value of £40-50 supper. So should the Hilton. Conrad Hilton would not approve. It's like 4 years old, feels like 14.

We had the pleasure of Lord Beefy’s and his family’s company at our pub, The Mall, in Woodhall Spa so decided to return the favour. Excellent food, hospitality and wine. Lamb and Pork Belly was delicious. Service was exemplary. A fabulous night out.

This was a special meal for our eldest's 18th. He loved the whole experience which is the main thing. I've been to better hotel restaurants but only just. The food here was top notch and the service was good but I felt sorry for the waitresses as they looked stressed out. However, it didn't spoil the atmosphere as it was relaxed. I didn't give a 5 as I said I've been to better but I would definitely give this a revisit 👍

Normally food served in hotel restaurants is not great, but here that's not the case, I had mackerel to start it was nicely presented and tasty. For mains I had the gammon it was a really nice succulent steak, the chips which are served in a separate bowl were really good. My wife had jambalaya as a starter and the crispy braised beef, she found the jambalaya a little bland but really enjoyed the beef. The service was really good from a very pleasant young lady, so yes in all a good meal and a nice evening.

We stayed at the Hilton for a weekend break / spa and had dinner at Beefy’s. I ordered the 12hr braised blade of beef and my wife the pork belly with two sides for sharing; sautéed button mushrooms and broccoli cheese bake. We thought the food was delicious. The beef and pork belly were cooked to perfection. We particularly liked the sautéed mushrooms that complemented the main dishes well. Our waiter was friendly and personable. It was a good night.

If I could award 0 stars, I would. Saturday afternoon lunch with an empty restaurant. Ordered cocktails (bar tender didn’t know how to make an espresso martini) Waitress didn’t know which fish was catch of the day Apart from a few ladies having afternoon tea together, we were the only people in the entire restaurant Food is of canteen quality, stale bread, short cocktails and unkept looking staff. We sent food back and the waiter agreed that it was unacceptable (considering we were the only couple eating) doesn’t bode well for a busy dinner service Overall l, avoid where you can Highly disappointing, sadly Maybe Sir Ian Botham should attend without notice, or read the hundreds of unsatisfied reviews

Eaten here a few times when travelling with work. Decent food, well-cooked & presented, but nothing particularly outstanding for the high ish price you pay (I guess that’s the premium paid for being in a Hilton). It’s basically somewhere between chain pub and slightly gastro-pub, with a fairly stolid menu. Slightly galling is the service charge that is automatically charged on top of the already slightly high prices, on top of which you are also then invited to tip. Service was so-so, and I was left waiting for a bill for 15 minutes after having requested it. You draw your own conclusions! Bottom line - does the job well enough for business travellers, but not sure I’d make a trip here for a special occasion.

Really enjoyed the meal at Beefy’s. We booked in advance and were given a great table on arrival. Greeted by really friendly staff who looked after us throughout. The atmosphere is great and you are surrounded by cricket memorabilia for this that are interested in that. The food was excellent and I think very well priced. The 3 of us talk had different dishes and really enjoyed them all, but the stand out had to be the the slow cooked beef. Also a chance to try out Ian Botham’s wines which drank very well. A great experience.

Easily a contender for the worst dining experience. A vastly overpriced menu, with very ambitious descriptions of the meals. I started with what was essentially a packet of pork scratchings in a bowl with a splash of sauce - alarm bells. I then paid almost £20 for a dry chicken breast with a slather of what was apparently "jerk" paste accompanied by some mass cooked fries - bizarrely however, to buy a chicken breast as an accompanying addition was £7.00...that would suggest they charge £13.00 for some fries and a tomato. There was no check from waiting staff regarding the quality of the food , which was dry, needed at least the offer of some sauce...I would happily have offered feedback. After 3 attempts to order drinks, 2 lots arrived within 10 minutes of each other, we then sat almost half an hour waiting for plates to be cleared. "Signature" desserts, the brownie and sticky toffee pudding both sent back as inedible. If I'm generous, this is an overpriced, low quality Wetherspoons (sorry Wetherspoons.) Absolutely awful in pretty much all key areas - I'd have felt better off if I'd been mugged in the street...at least I'd know someone had stolen off me. I will advise that at the point of paying the bill, the jerk chicken, the incorrectly charged drinks, returned desserts and service charge were removed from the bill.

The vegan main course was similar in quantity to a starter (and cost £18) We sat in the bar area because we wanted to eat there with our dog. We weren't allowed into the restaurant itself but we were told they would serve us in the bar area too, which we thought was fine. However, we were only served until our drinks and main courses arrived. After that we were ignored. We wanted dessert but no one felt able to serve us. Our empty plates were in front of us for about 20 minutes until we left, and they are probably still there. Once and never again

Four stars for the staff who were fantastic. Food was okay, we had the Wagu burger which was not as good as others we have had in the past and very expensive. Burger was £18 and then bacon on top was extra £3, cheese was an extra £3 and if you wanted sweet potato fries an extra £3 too. So very expensive to tailor to a bacon and cheese burger!! Wine and drinks choices were very limited and expensive again! But as I said the staff were excellent and really wanted to make sure we were enjoying the evening.

We enjoyed our dining experience at this restaurant. Ramona who had been called in from Hilton Brighton to work at the restaurant on the evening of our visit was so kind and helpful and seated us at a large booth /sofa table. Perfect. The other lady from Hilton Brighton Jordan really looked after us throughout the meal. The restaurant was very busy and the noise level was rather loud. Since we were seated at this particular table we were still able to relax and enjoy our meal. Nachos, tempura prawn, beef and fish and chips were all actually cooked well. The food at Hilton hotels in the UK tend to be cheap and lacking but this restaurant did deliver pleasant meal.

Eye wateringly expensive for the (lack of) quality. Tomato and mozzarella salad with no olive oil and cheap quality cheese. General lack of pride by chefs and food akin to school canteen rather than restaurants. Wait staff are great but let down by kitchen. Either need to half the prices or improve the standard of food - currently it's on a par with Wetherspoon at best.

This is the main restaurant for the Hilton Ageas Bowl. The lighting is too harsh and bright for my taste. Staff are exceptional. The menu changes with the seasons; this just confuses me! Terrible. We visited Beefys this week after hearing great reviews from freinds. Oh how wrong they were We started off with a round of drinks which took a few laps around the restaurant before arriving at our table, only to be met with an overpriced lager in an unbranded glass. We then ordered our starters of warm breads and butter. The bread was tired and dry, I wouldn't of torn it up for the pigeons to graze on The mains had a 5050 split among the table, with the burger leaving a sour taste, again the bread chewy and tough,. We had to flag down waiting staff twice to get a drink and was left waiting ages to receive our drinks despite it being less than busy. With all the above in mind we certainly won't be attending again, overpriced mediocre food and slow staff it makes a Harvester look desirable. I would advise others not to do the same at Beefys, I can't wait to try Lambys

We had the afternoon tea. One star for the staff, who were excellent, and one for the setting which is pleasant. The tea itself, however, was poor. I understand that eighteen quid doesn't get you much in a Hilton, but it was the sort of food you end up with when you are at the back of a (long) queue for a cheap buffet. If you need to charge a bit more to do it justice, then you should charge a bit more.

Mediocre bistro located within the Hilton at the Ageas Cricket ground. Menu contains what you would expect a menu to aimed at crowed pleasing rather than anything exciting or new you might want to try. Wine and food overpriced for what it is. That being said, my Fillet steak was perfectly cooked but it should have been at that price.

We went on a Friday evening to celebrate my husbands 80th birthday. There were 7 of us in the party. The waitress came and took our order. When the main course arrived only 6 meals arrived the waiter had forgotten to put all the order through to the kitchen. The rest of the party had nearly finished our main course before the 7th meal arrived. To make matters worse the waitress came in the middle and asked if everyone’s meal was alright. When it still hadn’t all arrived A very disappointing experience..

Stayed at the ageas for 3 nights, Breakfast in beefys was nice, the only problem was a piece of egg shell in 1 fried egg, not the biggest crime but shouldn't happen. We ate in the restaurant on Friday night, my wife had the lamb which she said was far to rich for her, I had the burger which was fine but little overpriced at £15. The main problem was the in room dining we had on Saturday. Firstly there's no children's meals on the menu which I find amazing, I asked if they could do meals from beefys menu but got a flat no. When we got the meals the fish had 5 or 6 bones in it and was a bit greasy. We are staying again in July but will not use the in room again unless the menu is better catered for all the family.

Good attentive staff. But unfortunately the food was not what I expected, I admit we were there n a Groupon deal, but the idea of Groupon is for people to get a feel of the establishment. Sadly I suspect that the quality is reduced for Groupon customers. By that I mean if we had gone without Groupon the bill would have been £140+ and for that sort of money I would not expect to be served frozen chips with my gourmet burger. Also 2 of our diners had the half a chicken option which was good but came virtually no vegetables to accompany it. Overall it was OK but only OK.

We thought that eating at a Hilton hotel restaurant would be a great culinary experience, How wrong could we be! The service was horrendous! The table only had two place settings despite being a table for four and it was at least twenty minutes before someone came over to take our drinks order! While waiting for our main course, we couldn't get anyone's attention (appalling) so my wife went over to the bar to get more drinks. The bar man wasn't interested. He made her wait fifteen minutes before telling her that because she was having a meal in the restaurant that he couldn't serve her and she had to order from the table. We asked to speak to a manager and were told by a server that they would go and find them only for them to return to tell us that the manager had left. In her defence, the restaurant supervisor (Helene) went straight over to the bar and made our drinks order herself. We were seated in the restaurant for a further forty minutes before someone came over to clear the plates and ask if we wanted desserts or coffee. As a goodwill gesture they removed the service charge and knocked money off the bill. Appalling service over all and not the level i would expect from a Hilton hotel.
