McDonald's in Eastleigh

Feel rushed and food was warm, would of not waited to eat it at home.

I ordered a latte, got about a mile away to find i had been given about half a cup of really strong coffee , could not be bothered to go back so I drank it, as I had paid for it , I wish I had not as it was bloody horrible. 🫢

What a let down, food was Luke warm at best, at one point said there were 9 orders ready to collect but they were not ready. Mess on every table. Was looking forward to a big Mac all day and was very disappointed

It's mcdonalds. Food is what it is. I've been in there twice in 3 weeks. Both times more staff behind the counter than people eating. First time wasn't served a toy with the adult Minecraft meal. Second time I got 19 instead of the 20 nuggets I ordered. We paid extra for dips with our meals but people kept going up and asking for dips at the counter and getting them for free. Tables and chairs not properly cleaned between uses. Bins too full to get anything in them.

Can be extremely busy during peak times, but the staff are extremely efficient and will get you through the 'food buying process' very quickly.

Ordered a fruit bag for my sons happy meal as an extra and didn’t get given it. To top it off when I started eating my mayo chicken burger it had no mayonnaise inside.

Very clean and tidy Maccy D's is busy at peak times. Good service and friendly staff. Efficient.

First time coming to this one, it is very modern, the touch screen kiosks are the newer HD models. The staff are friendly and the seating area is spacious even with leather sofas. Would com back to this one if in the area again

It's a Ronnie's, won't blow you away not the best nor the worst one I've been in?.... Just wish it came out hotter & didn't look like it had been thrown together from 20 paces? ☹️

Great place to dinner and there's lots of seating and no child play area though. Service can be slow during Sundays

1:50am went through drive thru to be told we are not serving as rebooting our system, watched another 4 drivers go thru to be told the same - staff to lazy to close it. This sums the attitude at hedge end, I curse myself every time I go here - appalling product no care for customer, commercial rubbish, mass produced junk. Service should be consistent and good. Not ever bad. It’s time we ditched macdonalds for good. I’m back to when I taste it I think yuck! This is not food.

Ordered two mac meals and 2 chesse burgers but didint get our cheese burgers when I asked just eat for a refund on the two cheese burgers they refused.

These staff seriously need to learn to read orders properly and fulfil their duties constantly have missing items ( which apparently they can’t rectify even though) it’s a staff issue NOT UBERS as they just collect what they are given Can’t even get an order right when I’ve been in the place but more annoying when they can’t rectify a delivery order Get staff that can read and check that they have bagged the full order BEFORE it goes to the delivery drivers and take responsibility for YIUR mistakes!!!

This is by far the worst Mcdonalds I have entered, there were more staff than customers and still took 20mins to get a relatively small order. Managers organisation of his team was awful.

I have this place a 5 star rating last time I received which was awhile ago but since then it has changed every time I ordered they haven't once gotten it right and one time I was in there they left it on the side for about 20 minutes before calling our number

Dirtiest mcdonalds in the south. I am still currently here and both my children didn't get their toys with their happy meal and when I asked the manager replied they ran out and I have two tables next to me and they got theirs, it probably has something to do that we do not look from here. I can like deserves this as I decided to bring them to eat unhealthy and bad food.

The food was absolutely amazing! I loved it! The service was a bit bad though because they didn’t read out our order number or even look up from what they were doing when talking to us. The atmosphere was ok it was a bit dirty on the floors but hey they can’t clean everything right?

My problem with this McDonald's branch is that they so frequently get the order wrong. I seriously can't recommend ordering for delivery since I don't think they have ever got the order right. We aren't talking about forgetting to put the curry sauce in, we're talking whole meals missing. It's very busy, crowded and waits can be long. The queue for the drive through can be very long, causing traffic chaos at times. In my opinion they have taken on more than they can manage with the restaurant, drive through and delivery demands. Sometimes I wonder why they don't just stop taking any new orders whilst they are overwhelmed. I think we need a second branch this side of the city to absorb some of the demand. Despite all that I've never had a problem with the staff. I'm surprised they stay so calm and pleasant whilst rushed off their feet. Just an update. My son and his friends ordered a breakfast for delivery against my advice. One of the meals did not arrive. So predictably unreliable! Just dropped a star. The app is just shocking. The ONLY way to order McDonald's is in store and check what you get. Incompetent company. UPDATE. Can you actually believe it? The kids wanted McDonald's so we gave in. They got our order wrong AGAIN! Now its just funny 🤣

On 27/3/25, 1.25pm The person working on fries is not having cap and was with a loose hair,where there may be chance of his hair falling or his dandruff falling in,which may lead to asthma kind of things if consumed, Spoke to Manager in charge and the response from her was not promissing and not welcoming with feedback.

Called in on the way home from work, around 10.45 pm. Ordered 3 meals, 2 Big Mac, and 1 Quarter Pounder. Was told they only had Double Quarters, ok fine, but aren't they made from the same ingredients? As I was using the drive through, food was handed through window, and one drink. Was about to check food and was sidetracked by employee saying oops almost forgot your orange juices, and was holding them out for me to take. Put food bag on passenger seat, took drinks, and then had to move as another vehicle was waiting behind. Drove home 7 miles forgetting to check food bag, my fault. Handed bag to my wife as one meal was hers, and the other the daughters. She opened it and then asked where the other bag was, turns out 3 fries, and 1 Big Mac. There was another Big Mac, and the Quarter missing. I was not going to drive 7 miles to possibly be told should have checked at the time, though I shouldn't have to. Tried phoning store, and like every review on here, no-one answers. This store does tend to get orders wrong, and food is nearly always poorly presented. This is the final straw. I will never use this store again, and possibly never use McDonalds again. Prices has risen sharply, and food quality is crap. KFC are much better value. Burger King expensive, but food much better. My advice, steer clear of Hedge End McDonalds.

The food was cold and therefore not enjoyable. This was not the drivers fault as they were stuck at the restaurant and not even spoken to by the staff (we spoke at delivery). McDonald’s in hedge end and in swaythling need to hugely improve their service and speed

Ordered via UberEats. Ordered a meal: burger, fries and a milkshake, with a McFlurry on the side. Somehow, they took over 40 minutes with the order, with the first delivery driver giving up waiting, and the second guy still having to wait another 10 minutes + for the order. Despite the massive delay, they still got the order massively wrong. Instead of a milkshake, I got a large coke, and there was no McFlurry. Entirely the restaurant to blame for this complete balls-up. Never ordering here again. Would recommend nobody get a delivery order from here, just go there yourself and MAKE SURE they got the right items in the order, as they're incapable of doing this themselves. What a joke.

What a poor experience fries cold, tropecana orange juice in date but clearly gone, staff did not care. 3 orange juices all shot, did not want to quarantine the batch, or even try it themselves...

Driver was rude turned up late items in the bag were all over the place chips emptied in bag and there was a drink missing.

Quick and Clean - Good McDonalds Burgers Always well staffed, sometimes you can walk into a fast food place and just see abandoned chips on the floor. Not at Hedge End McDonalds very clean and the food service is always quick even though it is always busy. This is a high quality version on a McDonalds that other locations of the franchise would do well to model themselves on.

Chose to dine in at McDonald’s today with my son very quick service, clean and tidy restaurant plenty of space to sit. Staff were very friendly and helpful when I requested an extra empty happy meal box and sweet curry sauce to take leftover food home that my son hadn’t finished.

The store seemed to have a lack of staff, the tables were not cleared when the majority were empty. The milkshake was just a flavoured milk rather than having any thickness. The counter staff were lovely and very attentive.

Downside is the car park, but inside is nice, they have big sofas and the staff were cleaning as soon as people left their tables

I don't know if the manager reads these reviews but what is going on? A week (13th Feb) ago there was no ice, no wraps (except for bbq chicken) no milkshakes. Sunday 16th we went for breakfast. No coffees only hot chocolate, no breakfast wraps. Today a whole week later, no ice, no hot drinks and only bbq chicken wraps. This is absolutely ridiculous - what on earth is going on? Your lucky to get the right meal but now your lucky if you can get any food or drink!! I can however highly recommend the Whiteley one, never had such hot chips! Lovely place.

This is the worst McDonalds in England. Every time I come here they get your order completely wrong or it looks like they prepared your food and then sat on it. Also, you can never phone up to tell them the order is wrong to get a replacement because nobody answers the phone. Look at the state of this cheeseburger, looks like they’ve been playing football with it around the kitchen. Seriously, who prepared that and thought this is ok?

Missing items on my order and I’ve been charged for it

45 minutes stuck in a cue. Definitely not fast food anymore. I used to work for McDonald's 20 years ago an thing would move so much quicker. Also got order wrong, ordered a banana milkshake but we got a strawberry.

My partner went to go order our food at McDonald’s when we got home they had missed half of our order. 5 chicken selects, Coke Zero, chips, double quarter pounder. It’s supposed to be fast food. We won’t be going back here again as this isn’t the first time they have messed our order up.

Took nearly 2 hours to get my order. When it finally arrived everything was stone cold.... Correction, everything except the milkshakes which had melted and were now room temperature.

Fast food? Dont make me laugh! Even if you're the second car in the queue you'll be waiting nearly 30mins to order and get to the payment window! What an absolute joke!! Food is always cold and normally burnt! Breakfast meals are soo greasy that the grease pours out the wrapping as well as the burger! Staff are extremely rude and rarely know what they're doing! Food always gets forgotten from the order despite being paid for! They let you order and pay for items and then tell you at the collection window that its out of stock and they've given you something else instead which is against the law due to allergies! 🤦‍♀️ The staff clearly need some proper training including in customer service! Managers need to go for proper training of how to be managers and the supervisors too as they seem to just be given a new uniform and a badge to make them this role 🙈🙉🙊 Also, advertises as open 24hrs but it NEVER is! It seems to be open "late" but is closed every day between 5 and 7am! Don't advertise as being open when the locked doors and cones in drivethru clearly show that you're not!!!!

Had a one in one out policy at half 8 on a Wednesday evening. We were waiting in the cold in a queue outside and not told why until we specifically asked. We promptly left disappointed. Bear in mind that the restaurant wasn't even a quarter full. Went back and gave them another try on 20-01-25 and they didn't have a single hamburger available on the menu.

Don't understand what's wrong with this McDonalds branch, you place an order and something is missed off 70% of the time. When you do receive items correctly there is usually something wrong like the national onion shortage that seems to be going on, its the only thing inside the hat trick other than cheese and they usually put in 1 tiny slither of onion, ice cream machine never works, certain burgers are off the menu on random days? Mcdonalds is really being let down by this branch and really needs an overhaul as just seems like staff there don't care, I have had missed items off my delivery today even, I paid for a hat trick and got a double cheese burger? Can't still quite work that one out and then McDonalds fob me off yo Uber who then fobbed me off again to McDonalds? It's the only mcdonalds you try and order from in the entire country and they can only make cheese burgers, double cheese burgers, and triple cheese burgers yet the specialty burgers, quarter pounders, double quarter pounders and big macs are somehow unavailable. Furthermore they never have what is supposed to be on the menu these days, mist be some sort of protest against anything thats not chicken, if i wanted chicken i would go to KFC...Never ordering from this store again and quite personally I think it should be closed down as it's sat there wasting energy off the grid!!

I’ve been to this McDonald’s many times over the years as it’s on my root home. It’s consistently average, and some things never change - The burgers are almost always a total mess, it’s almost comical, they look like someone constructed them with a blindfold on. And I don’t think they have ever managed to get a customer order correct. The wait times tend to be quite a lot longer in comparison to other locations. This being said, it’s always very busy and the food tastes exactly as it supposed to. I also have a good tip - download and order takeaway via the app, they often have deals and discount codes which are applied to your basket.

Everytime I come in here you seem to throw the burger together… it’s not hard, just build it properly.. it’s all circles just put your burgers together and stop doing this. Your staff need basic training or whatever but this happens all the time.

Ordered food at 1230 and delivered at 240 and was told the food wouldn’t be cooked until driver was ready.

Overall, not very good at all. We have ordered from Deliveroo and had a takeaway from the drive-thru from here, and both have been terrible, but especially the delivery. Delivery: We only got a very small fraction of the food we actually ordered and what we did get was absolutely horrible. Drive-thru: A very rude staff member tried to overcharge us, then tried to deny it. Overall, I really would not recommend this place in a million years, I can never understand why there is always such a massive queue for McDonald’s.

The order was placed around 19:00 then was told it was being repaired for 4 hours which meant I could not cancel them 23:33 a driver knocked my door waking me and whole family up with a soggy bag in his hand. Very disappointed will never ise just eat again they seem to think it’s acceptable to send people round your house at midnight when you placed an order at 7pm. They have allowed drivers to claim they are at restaurant then give you no option at all to cancel. Worst business practice

Freezing cold and then the delivery driver messed about at the door wanting some code While I found the code he walked off but then returned just delay after delay. Most of the food was binned. Never again.
