We just love this place. It was our third ever visit this evening and it consistently hits the spot. Really great Italian food, attentive service with a smile and just a great place all round to enjoy a meal with friends and family. Cocktails are particularly impressive also! Recommended and will be returning again and again!

Don’t like to be mean but I was really disappointed Starter’s fine Mains : steak had 1/3 of it was a thick rind of fat. Chips had clearly slightly defrosted then fried as they were stuck together Rocket and Parmesan indicates shaved Parmesan. …… it was powdered Parmesan like you put on spaghetti Powdered. It should be shaved but I guess it’s cheaper to use powdered and frozen chips Also the SCREECHING post menopausal women and the token drunk husband SCREAMING was a total night ruiner Have some decorum, you’re pensioners ! A drink was spilt- 4 times we asked for tissue Chicken and chorizo casserole was disappointing massively especially with a boned bit of chicken lashed in some tomato sauce. Where was the chorizo

“I visited Costa on Liverpool Road in Crosby this morning and while the food and drinks are the same standard you’d expect from any Costa, what really stood out to me was the exceptional service from Lauren, the barista (brown hair up in a bun ) She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make my visit a pleasant one. It’s rare to come across someone smiling! Wishing Lauren a wonderful day – she truly made mine!”

The sun was out, and Crosby Beach in Merseyside was calling, so we stopped at George and Angela's, less than a mile from the beach, on the way. The haddock and chips came in a large portion, with the haddock itself being a good size. However, I found the batter too heavy—it held onto the oil, making it a bit damp and thick on the inside. That said, the batter had a nice flavour, as did the fresh fillet within. The chips were exactly what you’d expect from a good chippy—soft and fluffy inside, with crispy areas on the outside. The curry sauce was spicy with a nice kick, though a little jelly-like in texture. The peas were tasty but could have done with a little less moisture. Salt and pepper is always a favourite of mine, and the salt and pepper chips were both tasty and spicy, though the vegetables were a bit limited. The highlight of the meal was the salt and pepper siu mai. A generous portion with a crispy fried exterior, topped with plenty of pepper, chilli, and onion—absolutely delicious. The shop was clean and tidy, and the staff were polite and friendly. Chips were being freshly cut in the background, which was a great sound to hear. I don't ever write reviews but wanted to say a HUGE 'Thank you' to Danielle and staff for fitting us in last min for our function. From start to finish I was able to message Danielle privately, she put all my worries to bed and like she said, we turned up to the perfect function, delicious food and great service. Nothing was too much trouble. My whole family were really impressed with how quick you turned this around for us and I'll forever be grateful x

They've got a new chef and the food was cold, no onion rings with the burgers, curry was freezing. Ordered 2 all day breakfasts as well, we had eaten 3/4 of it and still not had our toast. When I asked the girl for it she went to get it, it looked like bread not toast. The manager though was very apologetic and gave us a full refund.

I haven't visited Dace for quite a while (probably pre covid) - it was good to see that the same lovely family are still in charge, although I felt ancient when I realised the two 'boys' are now adults! However I just want to mention that the service was great as always, lovely coffee, pot of tea and my mum's scone was excellent. The star of the show was the brownie - I have honestly never tasted better - so a big thank you to Theo, the creator of the Dace brownie which made my day. It really was better than Chris's (and Theo didn't tell me to say that) It was great to rediscover this family run establishment - pop in, you won't be disappointed!
