Came here for brunch and was met with the nicest waitress. The food was great, loved the corn beef hash and my egg was perfectly cooked lots of food on the plate for an amazing price. Would definitely recommend it and will be coming back for a pint someday! 🔥😁 This place is really tidy and clean a high standard is evident. Atmosphere was lovely and relaxing ☺️ I recommend this place if your in the area for a quick breakfast or a pint 🍻

Went in for food. Wow, I had spring rolls, Husband had pate and then we all had roast dinners. Staff could not do enough for us. Lovely pot of tea with cute cups. Be back again Xx

Haven't been in quite a while and was thoroughly glad to have visited again. Brilliant mix of customers, boss disco and happy atmosphere. Perfect ending to night out!

Live music, Sunday roast, pizzas and more can't get better in my opinion it's a must try great place for a date or to socialise or have some drinks with friends on the weekend with a band and dj Ryan following

Great service, just that some of the buffet food which was in heated trays wasn’t kept that hot. Otherwise would have been a 5. Did a gluten free club Sandwich for sometime in our party, which was excellent.

We visited Blues Bar this evening for a family meal and we’ll definitely be back! Grown ups had the small plates menu and they were absolutely delicious! The three children had the “make your own pizzas” - what a cheese pull for your photos! Korean pork skewers were to die for Shout out to the very wonderful Charlie who looked after us tonight marvellously and made it a lovely experience I’d highly recommend for a grown up or family meal out for great food and great staff, we couldn’t fault it and had a fantastic evening

No mention of dress code on website, Facebook or Instagram. Denied entry by old bouncer. Not very autistic friendly.

Good live music with a lively atmosphere

Tried to visit here last night with a group of friends. I got singled out at the door for my ID being “fake” according to the old bouncer on the door. When i tried to explain to him that it was not fake and i could prove with pictures of my passport and also bank details he said i “was not listening to him” - seemed like he just didn’t want to admit he was being difficult to just be difficult. Very disappointed.

I worked here for a while mainly during the summer and fall of 2023, left due to miscommunications on shift, other than that I enjoyed working there. Whenever I was there as a customer (might of just been because I worked there) but it felt like you could strike up a conversation with anyone in there and it be friendly. They are also open quite later on a Friday and Saturday, working it was half stressful like but there as a customer was a boss time like, drinks are fairly priced in my opinion other than the gin which is quite expensive but cheaper than the central of Liverpool for sure, in all it was a nice experience just wish it didn't have a bitter end to my time there.

Only popped in for tea and toast. The staff seemed friendly enough, though they seemed short staffed. I would quite happily come back again to try a meal as the menu sounded nice.

First visit to the BLUES BAR , small and compact would suit a solo performer or KARAOKE a very interesting place to have a cosy time there.

Not impressed waited over 30 minutes for a sandwich and the place was really quiet

My friends and I enjoyed an amazing evening last Saturday watching David Celia and Zuffalo from Toronto!!

I stopped for a drink while waiting for my cat to have blood tests at the vets. Had a very well blended hazelnut latte. Much nicer and cheaper than Costa. I will be back 😀

Went on a Sunday and even though online it states that they open at 10am they said they opened at 12. It was 11am when we arrived so decided to sit in the sun on their chairs and wait as there's not much else around and my grandmother can't walk. At 12 I went inside, only to be told that they didn't serve food that day. When I asked why we were not told all the time we were sat outside waiting, we were told they assumed we only wanted drinks.. ridiculous and not worth going..

O ly went in 4 a coffee. Very warm inside.

We quite often go to Blues for our tea etc. Food is lovely..freshly made & staff are so friendly! Also, prices are very competetive! Very relaxed atmosphere, no pressure to leave after meal. Would definately recommend!!

Nice atmosphere and lovely staff, but the current table service model is shocking. Having to wait 20-30 mins to order your drink, due to lack of staff.

If blues bar wasn’t the hot spot of crosby I do believe they would be in a dire situation because the disgusting attitude of the staff would be enough to turn many people away. They have double standards for their regulars who are allowed 10 to a table during COVID but others are threatened with being kicked out for asking for another drink.

We've just had a lovely evening in Blues Bar. Excellent small plates, great service and a drink or three. Felt very safe and welcome.

The staff really need training on how to work with COVID situation. About 3 different waitresses unnecessarily came over to us before we even got our food menu. Their customer service could do with changing as well. They all looked like they couldn’t be bothered being there and were very unhelpful. When we left because we was sick of waiting for a food menu the bill was thrown down on to the table.

We visited last weekend and felt very safe. We both had the full English with a couple of tweaks, that weren’t a problem. The food was good, plentiful, we’ll cooked and nicely presented. Most importantly it was piping hot. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The only minor quibble was that they had no soya or oat milk so I missed out on my Latte. If that was remedied we would definitely visit more often.

Just had a fabulous meal in Blues tonight. Excellent service from the lovely Phillippa. Delicious food prepared by Jack.Tapas was piping hot,served at perfect intervals as requested. Best meal anywhere in a long time. Keep doing what you are doing guys! Support your local businesses please,they need us more than ever in these difficult times. Thank you Blues x

I proceeded to have breakfast with my family here consisting of 2 adults 4 children one in a pram and another disabled in a wheelchair, the girl behind the bar with an absolute disgraveful attitude told us they were not open, even though there was a customer enjoying a coffee sitting down. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and decided to wait outside a further 10 minutes,upon waiting i seen numerous customers go in and be seated with a menu and drinks being bought over to them. I then went back in and was told i still could not be seated until 10am even with the blatant customers already being served. You should be ashamed of yourself and your despicable staff! I am not sure how that girl can live with herself taking enjoyment out on turning away people through what clearly was discrimination.she needa to assess her attitude towards willing paying cuatomers! I will be advising all my family and friends not to even step foot in this place that does not belong in such a village as crosby! I took my custom elsewhere and advise anyone who is thinking of dining in this place to do also.

Waitress took our first drinks order promptly but we weren’t asked if we wanted another drink and sat with dirty plates on the table for 40 minutes after finishing eating. Had to go to the bar to ask for the bill. The place wasn’t busy so not sure what all the staff were doing (there were four waiters). Fish was lovely but chips were a bit greasy and soggy.

Food is brilliant here you have to try it!! Always the number 1 place for breakfasts. Went for lunch last week, I'm a bit sceptical about ordering salads when I'm out because they can be a bit boring but the one I had was incredible tapas are even better in the evening!

Lovely food but slow on service and sorry to say this but been 3 times now the same last 2 weeks waiting and taking orders is go with the flow no rush to serve u and need a good clean

Was abit unsure about eating out due to the corona virus.. but decided to go for it and blues was the first place I visited and as usual I wasn’t disappointed. The girls were lovely as always. It was very busy but service was still spot on

Such a lovely experience of dining out tonight. Tapas is tasty and big portions, staff couldnt do enough for us and ambience is great! Thanks for a lovely first meal since March.

My son's 18th birthday. Not only did they find his group of friends a table in their busy bar they provided a balloon too.They made his first night out in a bar a brilliant experience. He had a great night. I have nothing but praise for the staff and owners.

This restaurant / bar has had to change to order and Collect due to COVID. Collected 4 pizzas and vine this evening for my family and dropped another order off for a relative. Pizzas were as amazing as when you order in the restaurant.. my son thoroughly enjoyed the salt and pepper chicken. When I rang to place the order, I was recommended the Shiraz and it is so nice.. I can’t recommend this local restaurant enough for a take away at restaurant standards

Blues bar ,now doing take away. We have just had are takeaway, pizza salt and pepper chicken few other bits ,all absolutely lovely. Generous portions and very tasty food. Support are local businesses. Thanks Blues. 🙂

Have visited blues many times and never been disappointed. Really nice food, generous portions and a nice, mixed menu. If your in Crosby and looking for a bite to eat Blues should be on your list

My girl friend and I visited here on Valentine’s Day for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival with roses on the tables and a really nice scene throughout the bar / restaurant. Our waitress was delightful (sorry we didn’t get her name) and the service was perfect. The food was incredible, we had stuffed feta peppers, deep fried olives, salt and chilli aubergine, salt and pepper chips and the special pak Choi. All of the food had a similar undertone of flavour which (thankfully) was delicious. Would recommend to anyone in the area, worth travelling to if you’re not!

I would like to thank Andrea and all the staff at blues bar, for making my night so lovely and special.Jack & Jennie made it perfect, the food was outstanding, even 4 weeks on the guests are still talking about the food. I would recommend this venue as its just the right size for a night out with family and friends.

Great restaurant but poor service in bar. Always several bar staff on but seem more interested in chat or phone than seeing customers who need serving. Waitress in restaurant gave bar order to staff but 10 mins later saw still waiting and went and got drinks herself and apologised for wait. Bar staff need sacking or a kick up the butt. Food and service in restaurant area great. Always helpful and quick in serving meals. Never disappointed with food here.

Has been refurbished since I last went and the atmosphere was excellent. Food very good, I had fish and chips and my friend had the steak sandwich, both looked very inviting, the waitresses were very helpful. All in all a good experience.

Bottle of organic vegan wine, excellent service and perfect food offerings only surpassed by exceptional front of house by Chef Jack........they are missing a trick keeping him behind the pass !

This is the first time we have eaten here and glad we did, it’s mainly a bar but has extended in to a restaurant menu is very good chicken liver pate is so good as a starter I then had the pork with Black pudding lovely I like the booths to sit in as there was 4 of us it was good to chat We will be back and are friends said it serves a lovely breakfast

You can stand at the bar for a full 10 min with nobody serving and the staff apparently busy! very frustrating ( i walked out and this isnt an isolated incident )

Good prices. Afternoon staff more attentive than the after 5 staff who are more interested in talking/checking phones than serving, if they stood at the intersection of the two bars whilst doing this they could see if someone wants serving. All that apart a good place to visit

Food was very good and very reasonably priced. But by lord it was warm in there!!! Too hot and uncomfortable. If you have a pizza oven going you need to reduce the temperature somehow!!

We took friends who we met on holiday to blues yesterday afternoon, got to say the food was fabulous we both had the sharing starter with fish,chicken etc, delicious. Our friends Weber shocked at how cheap it was for the amount and quality of food. They will definitely be eating there again on next visit

We went for an evening meal,we've eaten the there before. Sticky Korean Ribs absolutely great, not overcooked, meaty and flavoursome. Sea bass fillet just right. Many restaurants in Spain do grilled aubergine with honey so I was a bit sceptical but this was as nice as I've had anywhere . The service was good and attentive not pushy. Downside it can be noisy and get hot,however, I'll put up with that for the food and service. The Blues Bar isn't a pretentious place but don't be fooled.

I have recently found this ittle gem and haven't been able to stay away. This is due to a number of reasons, firstly the delicious food (my family ànd I are currently working our way through the menu) and have not been disappointed, the triple cooked chips our just like your mum use to make the best!! The burgers were the juiciest I've ever tasted. Secondly the staff and customer service is fantastic nothing is too much trouble for them, even being able to speak to the chef's which I like to do to thank them. And thirdly the atmosphere and other customers it really is like a little community hub of Crosby village and even if you were dining alone or just popping in a drink or coffee you would not feel alone as everyone is so friendly. Really hats off to the chef's and the whole staff as the products used and their skills are second to none.

Me and my girlfriend went to Blues Bar last week and I have to say the food is unmatched and the service from the staff where great. She had a small breakfast and I had the full English and they were amazing. Nowhere can match the breakfasts they are brilliant. The device was quick and when we had the bill it was a shock to find out that the price was way under what I expected considering the amount of food you get. The staff are lovely and the chefs in that kitchen can rustle up a fantastic breakfast. Thank you for the service I will definetly be back. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing. What a great place to eat in Crosby

Me and my partner have been a few times and the food was fantastic every time. The service from the girls that work there is nothing but the best their knowledge of the menu is nothing but great there is nothing they wouldn’t try and do for you. Would most definitely recommend blues

Visited for a meal and a few drinks on a busy Saturday night. Food was excellent and customer service was great nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Have been a few times and have never been disappointed, great place!

My family and I had a fantastic experience at Blues Bar, the food was something else and such good value for money, we have been before and have always had a great time, the staff cannot do enough for you, always very attentive without being in your face, would recommend very highly

I’ve just come on to leave another review about the food and service for blues bar and noticed a few bad reviews. I’m really surprised at this. I am regular eater at this place and always had the most amazing food and brilliant customer service. Sometimes there have been delays in receiving food but it is ALWAYS worth the wait. The food is cooked fresh so no wonder it can take some time. It is great value for money and I’m hesitant to say that as I don’t want them to increase their prices but I think even if they did, it would still be my number 1 in crosby.

It’s such a shame that this isn’t a great place to eat and drink, Crosby village needs many more restaurants, and the demand from locals is there, but this place really disappoints! Such slow service, when we were eventually served this was unfortunately by rude and unprofessional waitresses. When we asked what bottled beers were available the waitress didn’t know, so said ‘name some beers and I’ll tell you if we’ve got it’! The food took a long time to arrive and was very average. No one came over to take additional drinks orders, we had to go the bar. No one came to give us our bill either, we had to go the bar for that too!

Fond place to go great atmosphere

Recently wrote a review for blues which was awful. I complained to the manager after my last visit and she was more than apologetic. She explained that she had dealt with the issues from my last visit and sent me a voucher by way of apology.

Went during a lads night with my son. Staff were really friendly and the food was superb. The nicest surprise was when we got the bill as it's really reasonable. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat

Blues bar used to be a nice place but now it seems staff don’t care. The food is ok but Sticky tables and dirty toilets don’t make for a decent night out. Add to that, Glum faced, impatient staff and at busy times an ill equipped bar. On one visit there was hardly anything we requested left, including ice and so was presented with warm vodka and flat coke. We left and went over the road to Frankies where, although more expensive they know how to serve a decent drink - courteously. Wine glasses pre-cooled with ice, and spirits prepared with all the relevant ingredients and with a smile - the staff actually ‘see’ you!
