Really enjoyed my time the good and service was brilliant especially the brownies which were amazing considering they were even gluten free! Can’t wait to get back there and try more of the food on the menu

I recently visited with my 1 year old son and wife. The staff were really helpful and patient. We ordered Avocado and poached egg and the black pudding hash- this was absolutely delicious and I’ve been told the avocado was great as well. My son has a peanut allergy and staff were helpful with this. We finished with a cake each, Oreo for me and a brownie for my wife (our son had a banana). The cakes were brilliant and we left knowing we will visit again soon.

Visited with friends. Chose early evening menu, would you believe three courses £10, limited menu but favourable and flavoursome choices. The wider menu was good so plenty of options but prices in contrast jumped up so be aware. The staff were welcoming and it was warm and bright coming in from a murky and foggy winters evening. Going to try lunch next. If they maintain value for money it’s a good local venue

Highly recommend. Owner so friendly, nothing was too much trouble.food excellent and good choice. On both occasions we reserved a table. After reading some previous reviews, we disagree as service outstanding.

Visited 3/1/2020 to give this place another go. Wasn’t particularly busy. Waited 15 minutes for someone to come and take our order, they didn’t. Headed to the bar was told someone would come over. Never approached for more drinks always had to ask. Was told at 9 it was last orders ( closes at 10. Waitress was cleaning the table we were on obviously hinting she wanted us to leave. As we left she shouted rudely “ you haven’t paid” when we had clearly left the money on the table. She must have been having a bad day but poor service seems a theme here. Shame as it’s a nice little place but much more welcoming establishments locally. They need to up their game. Plus they still have Aldi bread on show, nothing wrong with Aldi, shop there myself, but when your charging over the odds for food you would hide your supermarket products wouldn’t you 🙈.

Went for some food and drinks, compared to last visit only a couple of weeks ago, they have made the portions small and not worth your money. Compared to other places around crosby for 3 for £10 this is not value for money at all! Still hungry after it, which just shows🙈 in addition just be careful when entering and exiting, the slope is really slippy on the tiles, especially when wet. A sober person went complete flying when exiting down the slope🙈 there is a little rail but there needs to be new tiles for safety! Just all round disappointment compared to last time I went, feel like abit ripped off for the value of what we had.

Went in this afternoon. As the place was busy went to the bar to order land was directed to a seat. Waited 15 minutes still no service, went back to the bar and again ordered, assumed drinks were on there way, 10 minutes later still No drinks. Was on the verge of leaving when the waitress appeared. To be fair to her she was very apologetic but she was on her own and for the not first time I’ve been in there was running around on the owner and her party of 6. An hour into my visit I was then presented with a red wine I didn’t order which they then tried to charge me for when I left. I tried to purchase some Eshe Road Honey, the waitress had no idea what was for sale or what the cost was. Your waitress was lovely but rushed off her feet. if the owner wants to sit in there enjoying herself that’s great but not at the expense of your customers. Very poor all round.

Visited here for lunch, was able to find a table. Sat waiting for ten minutes & no order was taken so I had to chase this up. Ordered a platter to share & some sparkling water which took a long time to arrive. The waitress didn’t give us any side plates so again I had to leave my seat and chase up the side plates. The platter was presented well and we enjoyed it. After we finished we ordered coffee & a cake. Again, I had to leave my seat to chase them up after fifteen minutes had passed & they still hadn’t arrived. We were offered them to take away or to take them off the bill as an apology. They arrived a short while after and we had to rush them as was picking up my children. I asked for the bill, the coffee hadn’t been taken off so I had to ask for the bill to be corrected. Overall, the food and coffee was nice but what should of been a lovely relaxed lunch out was just painful. This place could be so much better, steps to improve service are much needed. Sadly, I’m not planning to return. Much better places to eat close by where the service is second to none & you are served with a smile.

I’ve been a couple of times now to eat at Livin Kitchen & I really like the place. It’s small but perfectly formed, if the weather’s nice you can sit outside the front. I’ve had the soup and sandwich option in the past as well as a slice of one of Flo’s cakes (Bourbon - delicious!!) but this time I had the avocado, blue cheese and sun-dried tomato flatbread which was so so good! Reasonably priced and a short walk from Crosby Village, I recommend a visit even if it’s just for a cuppa to watch the world go by :)

Hehe surprisingly nice, maybe a wrong title :) probably because no expectations and having a meal in crosby the day before disappointing. This is a lovely little place with good food and service, so higly recommended. They have a larger bar place aswell which is nice on summerdays.

Long long wait for our lunch and when it eventually arrived they had got the order wrong!! The chef had managed to burn the toast twice while we where waiting and the smoke in the restaurant was horrendous!! They had to switch off the smoke alarm! There was a couple sitting in front of us and they got their order wrong too!! We ended up leaving without eating - we were not even offered our coffee free to compensate - even though we are regular customers very disappointed ☹️

My friend and I visited today and found the young lady serving very friendly and checked a few times that everything was ok. The cafe was very clean and table was spotless. Nice music in the background and not too loud. Toilet was clean and well equipped with hand wash and loo roll. Have visited quite a few times and always have enjoyed our visits. Lots of nice things on the menu. Toasted teacakes are lovely!

Visited this lovely cafe on Feb 15th after a brisk walk on Crosby Beach. Just flown over from Spain and visiting family in the area. What a lovely find. Fancied a beer and piece of cake after a long walk! Asked the young lady for a posh glass for my beer and she was so lovely! I think it was her first day, talk about service with a smile! Will definitely visit again when next over. Keep up the good work!

We went to Livin Kitchen for a family meal and had a great night. We had a selection of small plates to share between a group of 4 and each dish was amazing! There was a warm and cosy feel to the place and we were made to feel welcome by the friendly and helpful staff. The gin and and tonics we had were just as good as the food, and we would definatly come back here again

Impromptu brunch with my aunty. Had gone to ‘Moose’ but no table so tried here 10 yards away. Surprised to find plenty of tables so sat at 1 then soon thought “could it be the temperature” as cold inside. We had sat right by a tall radiator but it was cold - Asked the staff about the heating but told it was on a timer. It clearer (at 8 degrees outside) should have been on. Everyone sitting had kept their coats on so what was that saying!!!! To add to the chill the kitchen door was constantly being opened causing a very cold blast & draught by the minutes, we were frequently asking for them to shut it. We’d ordered bacon butties which I have to say was the nicest I’ve ever had in a café. Lovely crispy bacon & oooodles of it!! Coffees were nice too. Sorry to say neither of us will be returning while the weather is cold as it was just too uncomfortable sitting there trying to eat with our coats on. Management need to sort out keeping their customers warm or they’ll wait for tables over the road!!

Love this place! Always get the cheeseboard which comes with all the garnishes and they aren’t shy with the crackers, although I would like to see some more cheeses - a smoked cheese and a mature cheddar would be perfect (for me)! Plenty of drinks to choose from and very friendly staff. Could watch the world go by for hours! Xx

My wife and I visited the Livin with our two year old granddaughter late afternoon. There was a high chair available. We ordered coffees and pancakes, both delivered promptly, the latter with jam and cream. Both were ok. We would return perhaps for something more substantial and a bottle of beer.

Had a lovely early evening chill out with a friend. Decent red wine. Tapas are described as three small plates for £10. We ordered six to share. Mega food we couldn't finish it. It wasn't for the want of trying. Everything cooked to perfection.

A small, compact cafe with a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Definitely a cut above the average park cafe - nice coffee and a good selection of cakes and traybakes. The breakfasts looked good as well.

I briefly popped into Waterfields today and I was very pleasantly surprised at the selection. The cakes and snacks were extensively stocked behind the counter and were very reasonably priced at under £2 each. I bought a cupcake with vanilla cream on top which was delicious! The staff serving were friendly, polite and efficient. You can also sit in to eat, if you wish. The only issue was that the loaves of bread/toasties were running out, then again it was 3pm so this was understandable. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit!

Expensive for what you get. Service was great but you can feel the place is just designed to get as much money as they can for what little they give

This used to be a good bar but is now just a high priced dog compound. 9 dogs in this very small bar. Wouldn't order food given the smell of dogs and lack of washing of hands by bar staff after feeding treats to the dog. Don't bother, there are better alternatives in Formby.
