Costa Coffee in Sefton

Tinah service was exceptional today! The first server explained very sweetly they had ran out of my ginger bread latte I really wanted. I was very dissatisfied! She wasn’t sure what substitute to offer me. But Tinah Overheard and stepped in and asked me what type of coffee I liked which I explained and she suggested another latte that I hadn’t had before, but sounded real good. I then went along with her suggestion and she made it for me and the first server. I didn’t get her name then said she would add two gingerbread men to my latte as I didn’t get the one that I Wanted. It tasted great, and I was happy. They made the same drink for my friend, who wasn’t able to finish it. It was cold and she wanted another one, but she didn’t want to ask. Tinah was Kind enough to remake it for her and put it in a travel cup. Exceptional customer service and his wife me and my friend continue to return as all service have been great but Tinah Service this evening before closing really stood out. I hope she is rewarded for this.

I used to be a customer for Costa Coffee for the last 15 years. Unfortunately, since early 2024. New staff are with less training. Many of them they do not know how to behave or how to talk nicely. Those things are free. For example, the branch in Westfield Stratford third floor. Staff clearly without enough training. Many of them behave badly and they are quite rude. It is sad we will be in 2025 and cafes still employee people without giving them enough training: would not visit this branch again. Bad service, rude staff.

Every time ⏲️ always expect too want food during a drinks order 🙄

It is in a very good place, in Westfield it was very clean lovely breakfast. This Costa is so cute, so big, so beautiful, so much seating inside, so clean. Their food is very good and delicious and I love their chai latte so much I take it all the time. They also have drinks

Went to costa at 9:30pm and the two south Asian men ( didn’t get their names) that were closing the store (30 minutes early) refused me entry. They were unbelievable rude one gestured to me 30 minutes the other was saying closed. Was so rude, he also shood me to ‘go away’ incredibly disappointed by the staff that was closing. My drink would take less then 5 minutes, if anything it was good there was a glass screen between me and them because I’ve never been so disrespected before

I didn’t had good experience with westfield costa me and my friend had chai latte and cookies that was nice but spoons and cups were not properly washed cups were too sticky.

I visited Costa recently and had a disappointing experience. There were no grills on the air conditioners, which raised concerns about hygiene and safety. Additionally, the shelves were empty with no cakes available. I ordered a Terrace, orange, and hot chocolate, but the quality was not up to the usual standards Costa is known for. Overall, it fell short of expectations.

We ordered caramel iced latte and caramel latte. It was the worst latte I have ever had in my life. I usually enjoy costa iced caramel latte but this one was plain water with coffee in it and barely any caramel. They were busy but it doesn’t mean you put no effort in making coffee.

The service is slow, incorrect orders, no smoke extract and therefore atmosphere/air is awful. Coffee weak and not hot.

I had the worst service i ever had in my life... I been ordering something from the images above the coffemachine... and when i received they didn't give me the coffe saying that i didn't order it i point it to the image and she( Sabrina) start to argue with me ... she is the worst and rudest person... I will never order a coffe from costa never again

There are a lot of visitors, and, nevertheless, a peaceful atmosphere, you can relax, but you can also work)

Time (and money) well spent at Costa coffee in Stratford. Two young ladies at the service desk were friendly and my order prep was swift and well presented. Will very likely pay a visit again in the future. 😁

Visited this afternoon at 4pm with the family. Walked in and was hit by an unbearable heat. It would have been like eating in a sauna. Walked around the shop and it was this temperature everywhere. We immediately left and went to the cafe at John Lewis which was nicely air conditioned. You may think it's acceptable for your staff to work in these conditions but paying customers are unlikely to visit. Never again.

Please don't come here if you don't like rude staff who have attitude. My first time here and the woman with the glasses was rude to me and she stold me " not to get involved " They didn't get someone's order right and I told them that the customer wasn't being rude.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Narcisa, in particular, was very good at her job and creative. She made me the cutest cup of coffee I ever had. I always loved Costa and had probably around 5000 coffees in 10 years, never seen one so original. Wonderful and refreshing.

Sadly my review is about staff members bullying and humiliating a much younger staff member publicly whilst she was serving customers at the ground floor branch inside Westfield Stratford. It was upsetting to witness. An older lady with a long grey plait very publicly berated a young member of staff in front of a big queue of customers for not having a loud enough voice (although I could hear her very well). She loudly criticised the way the girl was serving and then told her she couldn’t stay on the till. The tirade went on for some time. The girl was visibly upset but managed to carry on serving in a friendly and efficient manner until being swapped out. After finishing my coffee I asked to see the manager, fully expecting it to be the ‘plait’ lady. The lady I asked told me it was herself. She had been behind the counter when the incident happened and had done nothing. She made excuses saying the girl didn’t listen and kept making mistakes. I suggested this was not the way to improve the performance of a young staff member. She continued making excuses so I pointed out that the way the girl was being treated amounted to bullying and she as the manager was colluding in it by not taking action. Im not sure my complaint will make any difference but maybe if anyone else witnesses this behaviour they will call it out too. Maybe things will change at the branch.

Avoid discounted items! Had food poisoning 3 hours after having a discounted carrot cake (from the outlet next to John Lewis)

Fast service, poor execution on drinks. Ordered a mango and passion fruit cooler came out as a mango and passion on ice, wasn't blended at all. This is poor as I used to work for Costa and this isn't how it should come out. Other than that it was decent.

Whenever I'm in Westfield, I always come to this Costa! Always received excellent service. The seating area by the window is peaceful, the coffee and cakes are lovely!

i came to costa as i was craving something sweet, i was greeted by arif in a professional and enthusiastic manner, i tried the cookie dough frappe and really enjoyed it, amazing service and lovely drinks

Such a disgrace to non inclusive behaviour. The costa staff came saying that kids are making too much mess on the table and people are complaining - was surprised that why someone is complaining for mess on someone else’s table. The mess was from pop corns, which was sold by them for ridiculously high price and same goes for kids fruit shoot. So when you sell something, it is supposed to be consumed in the shop, and no one can come to your shopping leaving kids home. Don't sell such items or write clearly outside NO kids allowed, but do not show discrimination for kids being in the shop. Absolutely disgusting experience. Literally guy had no point at all. He did not know what to say. But still he came and spilled stupid words out. Be aware !

The website says 7am opening time but as I arrived for a meeting the branch was closed and the door times say 8am open. Please correct on the website. Thank you

Best costa coffee in Westfield the both serve well and keep store clean . I like this branch as the view is amazing , bigger and corner store just beside Johnlewish.

I would like to say thank you to Wendy for cleaning up coffee which I accidentally drop on table and floor ,she was very friendly and very polite

Honestly I don’t understand costa stuff they close the toilet because they want us go around the mall to use the mall one , okay this fine if they don’t have toilet but as you see in pic they have toilet at the shop but , however I might someone working he/she needs toilet they can’t leave or like me im pregnant woman we cant use toilet because your in the mall come on guys if the national needs is just toilet and you must have cod to get in haha fatuousness!!

Friendly and helpful staff is an otherwise standard costa. The lemon drizzle cake was excellent.

Coffee was fantastic and the staff were welcoming. Just wish there were more options to choose from. 💫💫💫

It's one of my favourite Costa branches. They are very courteous and efficient even when they have a long queue. I have been served by Anastasiia today . There were 2 other members of staff in the equally excellent.

Best place ever since they started serving Hot Hazel nut Chocolate milkshake.

Very few seats available. More people with Laptops and I Pads then PC World. Nursing a drink and stopping other customers using the seating areas.

I came here today to have a coffee, as I do every time I arrive in Stratford at 4,25 p.m.My son was holding a water that I had bought from another store and I was very surprised when the girl who was supposed to take my coffee money asked me about said water, saying that Costa has the same water. I showed him that bottle, after which he apologized, saying that there are people who take water and don't pay for it, but I tell him to be ashamed and to be more careful with people next time.

Strange outlet of Costa within Stratford Westfield..layout on a half circular basis so you're not aware of what's around the corner i.e. more seats or toilets. On going for a wonder around aforementioned bend was gruffly advised by a staff member (who I didn't approach and frankly looked like they couldn't be bothered) 'no toilets here.' No direction given for toilets so was left hanging... (they're located outside on mall floor in the centre of the floor level....) Quite dark interior inside and noticed on return from trek to bathroom the 'artistic layout' of the sugar and sweetener sachets on the self-service plinth....remind me again why we actually go to these places? Oh..hot chocolate and millionaire shortbread if you like paying premium prices....I suppose...servers behind till nice and friendly though, a saving grace...

Was erg druk, maar de koffie was prima.

This is a very good place to relax with a view. A lot of tables behind. Away from walking crowds inside Westfield. Glad I've looked inside and found those tables by the window.

This Costa is a bit of a respite from Westfield. They make good coffee, and there are lots of places to sit. You can sit and watch the world go by with your cup of cafine!

Atmosphere always feel good, STAFF Especially! Chirpy even at the busiest time , food, The Service is always great in Costa's..was my first time there...due to the experience I had I'll try go as often as I'm working at London stadium if time permits 👍. Love it!👏🏻

Went in there to get a quick bite to eat and everyone seemed to have a stinking attitude. I got a vegan ham and cheese toastie as I'm vegetarian and my other half got a meat one. We were asked if they needed to be heated up separately so we said yes, but then they proceeded to cut my sandwich using the same knife as his, same chopping board and same tray... so was pointless asking wether i wanted them done seperate Another woman who was preparing everyone's drinks and sorting out cutlery also kept wiping her nose but didn't wash her hands. So not only are they rude, they don't adhere to dietary requirements and they spread germs.

As a regular customer, all the staffs today are my favourites hahahaha. They are professional and friendly. Smile and treat you sincerely.

Grabbed a carrot cake to take away, which was surprisingly tasty. The cake was moist and moreish. Not sweet either so the balance of the ingredients used was great.

Good Place to do chit chat and enjoy coffee

Called in for my free coffee! and bacon roll. ( Only coffee free) less crowded than the other branch.

Decent flat whites for the most part, however not as good as my local in the countryside. A lot of rude customers come in with screaming kids or take up loads of tables before queuing lacking manners.

I went to see this place last Sunday morning and I have to admit that it rised to the top of my favourite places have a breakfast. Not only because they have a good selection of coffees , teas , sandwiches and croissants but mainly because the service is exceptional and prices are affordable in comparison to similar chains of coffee shops . Everything was served quickly , order was prepared in clean and nice looking manner with a touch of smile . Good place to relax and spend free time .

Gisteren deze zaak bezocht; Lekkere koffie en gebak. Vriendelijke en goed personeel. Groot nadeel: 50% van de tafels werden gebruikt door mensen met een laptop; die alleen aan een tafel voor 2 of 4 personen zaten. Sommige waren nergens te bekennen; hadden nog wel hun spullen laten staan. Daardoor geen plek voor ons. Er werden zelfs messen verhandeld vanuit een blauwe Ikea tas

Costa is my all time favourite.

Great service and coffee. I usually order the Latte and Cappuccino and it is made fantastic! I highly recommend visiting this Costa if your in Westfield. Their Victoria Sponge Muffin is great! A must try! Overall a great atmosphere with great friendly staff.

Over crowded and had to wait a long time in the queue

I'm going here every now and then, usually wants or twice a week. I always get a coffee or something hot, sit down by the window and watch the people go by and it seems they don't mind how long I sit there for and chill out. However I do have a problem with some of the slobs who leave their stuff on the tables nearby. Please for Goodness sake throw your rubbish in the bin when you go! I love this shop dearly and I love the staff here, and they have enough to do making your coffee and serving without having to take up for your rubbish as well. I do genuinely appreciate them. Am more than happy to big them up and recommend them to anyone who asks.
