Staff? Fantastic, Food? Fantastic, Service? They know what you want before you get the bar.

Only went in later on so the band were already playing and they were good and now trying to push for a 1 oclock license so that should bring more people in so good night had by all.

Family and friends went for drinks, A good time had by all

Went for a roast on Sunday which was gorgeous. Lovely pub and friendly staff.

The bar looks unreal after the refurb. Brilliant beer, also a much better selection! spotless. Staff very welcoming.

Great Friday night out. Live band was brilliant and the pub had a party like atmosphere. Drinks were reasonably priced and staff were friendly.

Went on a Friday night, was quite empty. Clearly was just a handful of locals, atmosphere was rather morose. There was some very low music in the background. Was definitely not somewhere for a good night out. It's a shame because the website states live music in a Friday, but there wasn't.

Expensive drinks £4.90 for a pint of San Miguel. You can’t get a smile from the staff very miserable. Food is disgusting don’t bother

Used to come here years ago and forgot how lovely this little pub is! Came for a quick lunch and it was beautiful. Gorgeous homemade steak pie, chips and mushy peas and my dad had lovely thick slices of ham with chips, two eggs and peas. So reasonable and food lovely. Will definitely be back. Lovely pleasant staff so friendly.

Overpowering smell of lemon pledge at tea time on a Thurs,to the point of not being able to taste your drink,, disappointing

I’ve been eating and drinking here since 1990. They have a fantastic array of ales and wines on display. In the last 12 months I have stopped visiting for one very simple reason ! Whomever sanitises the premises does so with an overload of citrus disinfectant. Net result is that this is all you can smell when in the venue. This distracts from the lovely food and range of drinks..all one can taste is citrus disinfectant when in the building. Sort this out please !

Great spot, lovely old school boozer. Comfy seating, reasonable pricing and friendly staff. Next visit we'll be trying the food as it looks delicious

What a fantastic welcome and quality service . We had a delightful light lunch, the place is so welcoming and the staff went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our visit. Lady behind bar was so pleasant and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place.

My friends and I always have a good time in the Jawbone. Staff are brilliant.

1st time going here and really enjoyed it. Good music from the live band and a dance floor which is rare in pubs these days. I will be back there for sure.

This place needs a lot of work very tatty looking and the toilets were absolutely disgusting both men and women lost a lot of it's chae sadly

Been recently, waited 40 mins for two meals. Lasagna cold. Garlic bread arrived 10 mins later. Such a strong smell of disinfectant/cleaning product. Probably won’t return.

Friendly staff great atmosphere

Had a great xmas dinner there 14 Dec.

I used to love coming to this pub,as my Grandad was a regular,when he was alive,and I had fond memories with him,i went there a few weeks ago,with a friend and really enjoyed it,but when we came on Friday,it was totally different,it was my friends daughters Heavenly 18th Birthday,and we were celebrating it after midnight,not realising how late it was,we were asked several times to leave, and the manager and owner were very rude to my friend,telling him to drink up,I was quite upset and saw a different side to 2 people,who I actually thought alot of,especially with knowing my Grandad.

Good pub on till closing time when you get told to get out by two people who thing they are the mafia we where celebrating my daughters 18th birthday who past 17 and bit years ago. So what make thing about it is my other half said the two know her granddad from many years ago met nothing to them at closing time so sorry disgusted.

First time in the jawbone and won't be the last, great atmosphere.

Gone right downhill, pubs still great, always a good night, music was great, tonight was ruined because the female staff member called me a bell end for advising her that she had overlooked the guy next to me who should have been served next as he'd waited longer than anyone else haha I know I'm a bell end nothing knew there but too ignore the guy for 10 minutes and serve others deliberately was pathetic. Asked to speak to the manager about her abusive and petty behaviour towards customers but theyre not available, chose the next best option and decided to let them know in writing so they can respond

Brilliant community pub. Go every Thursday night from Southport to play darts with a Brilliant set of lads

Love the beer garden, great place to chill! Only issue was the music / speaker sounded off (cutting out at times) when in the beer garden, but it doesn't affect the rating. Shows Liverpool and Everton games.. love it

Don't be deceived by outside decor, this pub is lovely inside with great friendly staff

Only downfall is paying on card has to be £10, if your drink is less than that they give you the change, I am a cashless person so this irritates me, but clean and lively pub otherwise

Amazing on a sunday homemade roast dinner and it's always perfect you only need a small one because the large is to large and I cant normally eat the small although u can pay extra to have all the meats which is normally chicken lamb n beef

Great pub couple of real ales on have live music on week ends. The host Harry is a really nice guy would recommend this pub
