Went for breakfast as we were staying in the travelodge which is practically next door... We googled the opening times and seen that it was open at 10am but it was actually open from 9am. It would be a good idea to have the opening times on the window to save any confusion. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast and at £4.95 I was expecting a vegetarian sausage at least but I got 1 egg, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast. My partner ordered the medium sized breakfast and he was looking forward to the fried bread...but when it arrived it was buried underneath tomatoes so it was totally soggy...both breakfasts looked like everything had just been thrown on the plate and different juices were swimming into each other which I don't like. Both breakfasts tasted ok but I think presentation needs to be looked at. The lady serving was friendly.

Decided to pop in for lunch one afternoon with my wife as the place always looks so cozy and welcoming. Was greeted by Chloe the waitress who was really friendly and helpful who asked us where we would like to sit. The place was quite busy but we got a really nice table and didn't have to wait very long before our order was taken. The food was really nice with very generous portions and all the waiting staff were very attentive whenever we needed drinks. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy and once we had finished eating we stayed at our table for a few extra drinks. The staff were very friendly and were keen to chat to us and we never felt rushed to vacate our table. We decided to book to come back after Christmas and Chloe took our details and confirmed our booking via text almost immediately. If you are looking for a cozy afternoon out over Christmas then definitely give this place a try. The food is great and the atmosphere is friendly and it has a real Christmas feel to it on a cold winter day

Went to cafe in Edinburgh Woollen Mill Southport. Very disappointed. Would not visit again or recommend this cafe to anyone. It was as if the staff couldn't be bothered to make a proper sandwich or didn't know how. The advert outside the shop isn't what you receive inside. Give it a miss. Tesco meal deal better value

Use to be good - not many in - what’s bad is 5 staff behind the bar and service is not very good ♂️- all more interested in chatting to each other and drinking their own drinks behind the bar - now see why no one in - not good - need customer service training

Previously visited several years in a row & fully enjoyed both the food & the service. 2 out of 3 main courses arrived almost an hour after ordering when the restaurant has only 2 tables occupied. Food was cold & lamb well done instead of pink. After complaining to a manager, no interim refreshments were offered & he told us that there was a trainee chef working & there were problems. Waited a further 30 minutes for replacement meals to arrive whilst more recent diners were prioritised with their ordered food. We had been working all day at the Southport Flower show & simply wanted to eat & get to bed. Instead our evening was ruined, my husband having to eat alone & us having to wait an hour & a half to eat. The food was disappointing & had become very mediocre instead of excellent as it had always been. Hugely disappointing. As a consequence of such an awful experience, our bill was negated but we would have rather had the great food we normally enjoyed there. I believe the restaurant was in new hands so perhaps new management was responsible for the huge change of quality & service. We will not return.

This is how all Burgers should be. However, the Burger sauce is sweet and overpowers the Burger. It is well worth a try (Without Sauce). Fries are the best I have tried.

I am a Southport resident and found it incredible that this pub closed at 6pm because of a parade that afternoon. I felt that we were to blame for this for some reason, the truth being that they took decent money during the afternoon so we're closing now. Total contempt for people who actually live in Southport! Obviously not business minded people, especially considering the pub has run down in recent years and doesn't take much money anymore, or so it appears to me because I pass it all the time (being a local resident) and it's never full anymore.

Excellent food at more than reasonable prices, all of our meals cost under £5 each, we will definitely be returning.

Went for a family lunch and had quite average food at an above average price. I was very unhappy about being told "I really must sort the track and trace thing" when I asked if they wanted my details.

45 min wait for order. In end got refund, they couldn't even get that right. No apology for wait. When we asked where order was after half an hour waiter left to check and never responded,

We have been to the purple rain lounge twice now Once for the open mic night for drinks and today for Sunday lunch. It’s a great venue a hidden gem down Queen Anne street in Southport, the decor is fab really quirky set over two floors, with a great stage for live music, the Sunday lunch was a bargain at £10 and really delicious we will be back for the tapas which sounds lovely.

Writing this whilst still at Casablancas but felt I had to. Walked in today after the news that the team from The Brass Pig had now taken over the kitchen. Lovely warm welcome from the lady behind the bar and from the gentleman who served us as well. Good beer, comfortable surrounds and a nice atmosphere. This is a really nice bar. However the genius here is bringing in food of such high quality at such a reasonable price. Went for the Cajun Chicken and the Pig Mac and both were amazing and it was so good to have exceptional food back in Southport. My one plea to the catering team. Don't leave me again Highly recommend. Will be back
