FIREPIT - Smokehouse & Sports Bar in Sefton

Use to be good - not many in - what’s bad is 5 staff behind the bar and service is not very good ‍♂️- all more interested in chatting to each other and drinking their own drinks behind the bar - now see why no one in - not good - need customer service training

So apart from being the only ones in here and it was freezing in there, the food was bloody awful. I’ve never been served a burrito that you have to roll yourself! It was served as an open style burrito which wasn’t explained in the menu and therefore it was a soggy mess because everyone knows you serve a burrito as oven baked otherwise it’s just mush in a cold wrap. Not only this but I asked for the beef burrito and was served a five bean burrito, no check back given and the food went cold very fast. Loaded fries were overcooked tooth breaking and burnt, all I could taste was the burnt bacon on top. So disappointed as heard really good things about this place, perhaps we rocked up at the wrong place.

Excellent chateaubriand,friendly staff and great service. Food excellent would recommend to others. Will be returning

We found this place a little on the off chance but turned up for dinner and was not disappointed.A very warm welcome from attentive and funny staff.The restaurant is really cool.The food was really good. We didn't have one of the sizzling platter meals but they looked, sounded and smelt amazing.

I attended the Firepit with my sister recently and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were super cheerful and helpful! I was served by a young woman called Natalya and she helped us by recommending passionfruit gin as we’re both indecisive. We’ll be returning soon!

Dined here recently with my family and was waited on by a young girl called Keisha. Nothing was too much to ask and she made our experience very pleasurable

Couldn't recommend Firepit more. There's so much delicious food to choose from (but I'd recommend the kebab), the drinks are incredibly affordable, and the restaurant is clean and comfortable.

Not enough words to describe how brilliant this restaurant was.

To start with, we thought the staff where very helpful and professional throughout.

First of all I'd like to say the Service was excellent. Me and my old man visited to watch the United Wolves Game, and we found the service second to none - the two staff on at the time deserve credit and a raise.

We met here mid week the place was empty but food was ok not great value for money but wasn’t anything wrong with it just good

Booked a table of six to watch the football. Great set up... Big screen, waitress service at our table (big thanks to Emma, you were a star!) and fantastic pub food. Myself and my mates will definitely be back.

First of all I must say the staff were very friendly and helpful. But we were very disappointed with the food. Not only did we have to wait a while for it, when it did arrive we all thought I was a poor standard. The chips were floppy dark brown things that must have been difficult to make. But our main gripe is my wife,s meal, it was suppose to have been a Buttermilk Burger but the coating was almost black and she couldn,t cut the chicken. The staff were very apologetic and knocked the price of the bill.

Visited this place today with my mom and my god the food was absolutely phenomenal! Onion rings were to die for, all homemade too! All the staff were very friendly and genuine! Can’t wait to go back and try more things on the menu!

Visited firepit tonight with a group of friends.

Booked to watch the Ireland v new Zealand Rugby match last Saturday Emma our hostess was absoultely terrific and very professional we ate drank and had a blast the craic and food were top notch highly recommend the Buttermilk Chicken or Cajun Burger the atmosphere after the match with the DJ and saxophone player were brill and least not forget some Rugby buffs from Southport Rugby Cub who also joined us well done the Firepit we will be back

Late review but booked for birthday meal with my son whilst watching Huddersfield vs Liverpool. Reserved a sofa in front on the main tv screen. Massive and absolutely clear screen, best I’ve ever seen. Excellent service bringing drinks to us regularly. Food large portions and decent quality. Will definitely return.

Went in with my husband on Sunday and warmly greeted by 2 staff members. Upstairs was quiet but the staff explained that it gets busier in the evening mostly.

Had been in for food before, visited to watch the football over the weekend and WOW! The screen is amazing, it's a huge 3m TV Wall, amazing viewing! Seriously the best place to watch sport in the area, can't wait to go for some boxing.

It might be reasonably priced on drinks and nice decor but the service is still shocking train your staff!!!

Me and my girlfriends had a trial run of a pub crawl for our brothers 30th one Tuesday...Starting in the Fire Pit, Emma was so accommodating, sorting out tables and table numbers for us, who we needed to email and helping us organise the day, for the Saturday coming! Telling us it’s okay to bring balloons, cake, sparklers and to quote, “anything to really make a show of him”. On the actual Saturday, nothing was too much for her, Such a friendly, professional person!!

Had the best night at the fire pit, the best bar staff they were so friendly and helpful made time for us no matter what. Made sure to get their names, it was holly, Elle and Laura, couldn't credit them more. Will 100% be going back!

Nachos and sport, my favourite! Nachos came stacked with beans, cheese sauce, sour cream, chipolte and some salsa. They show the football on a HUGGE screen, biggest i've ever seen, a must visit for sports fans.

Good points are it's quirky and clean.

Here I was enjoying a nice healthy pint of lager...when I was approached by a beautiful young lady called Elle she joined in...very welcoming...and made the night even more exciting then it already was...behind the bar we had Elle no.2 and Kia and cara...all sharing there nights experiences...they all got involved and went the above and beyond making my and my friends experience at the potting shed/ fire pit that little bit better...they were all excited to see us...enjoying are experiences while doing there job with the abmost professional and estatic approach...all of them were fantastic and couldn’t ask for better hosts of the night

We had a great time at the firepit late Friday afternoon came for cocktails Emma the lady behind the bar was boss at recommending what cocktails we would like and things would definitely recommend and il be coming back again.

Amazing place to hang out with friends and family to come here to have a amazing meal and cheap booze,the staff are very friendly and the place is like a 80s style American dinner. They have aircon on in here which is great when it is hot outside.

Went to the Firepit last night for a couple of drinks, the bar staff were all so lovely, Elle made our cocktails they were delicious! Would highly recommend for a couple of drinks!

I have visited the Firepit on numerous occasions with friends, family, my partner and even solo. First of all, the rustic decor is fantastic and suitable for the style of bar the fire pit is. Each experience has been amazing and the staff have made clear progress with confidence and service on each visit I’ve made. Definitely my new local! Each visit has been beyond satisfactory. I would certainly recommend for watching sports, for predrinks, or even for the American themed cuisine alone.

Went on Saturday night there was a live dj playing all sorts of music was such a good atmosphere, Kai continued serving us all night remembered our drinks orders throughout the night regardless of how busy it was!! Will 100% be going back

8 of us went for dinner and to watch the open championship. The HUGE TV was perfect for sports and the leather sofas made it even better. Staff was supper friendly. We ended up drinking and playing shuffleboard for hours! The atmosphere was outstanding. We will be going back again today!
