Afternoon drink with friends. First visit on recommendation and didn’t disappoint. Greeted by warm and friendly staff who were excellent. Given olives and nibbles as we sat down. Lovely rose blush pinot wine. Dog friendly and reasonably busy but not overly so. Would definitely visit again.

Visited here after reading reviews and was not disappointed. Had the 2 course meal for £13.95 and a large glass of wine for two of us, came to about £38.00 and the wine was good! Staff were very attentive and friendly. We will return.

What a fantastic place the atmosphere was lovely and the staff the most multi talented “proprietors” around. A great place or food drink and music. I was seriously impressed by the food some of the best tasting selection for a long time. The staff were excellent and transformed into a great band!!!!

Thought we were going to have a superb takeaway judging from previous reviews. We paid top dollar (£59- which we were pre warned about when ordering) for two mains with egg fried rice. We were sorely disappointed and felt thoroughly ripped off. The mains were average and the fried rice was gloopy. Never again. Save your money.

So having passed a few times and saying “we must give it a try” today we did- and soooooo pleased we did. The staff were lovely, Coors on tap (what’s not to like!) and the food was great. The menu is everything you want from pub grub. Traditional pub meals, with lighter bites-perfect for lunchtime if you don’t want anything too “heavy”. Three of us shared salt’n’pepper fries, nachos & the cheese combo. I have to say it was all good, but my particular favourite was the nachos. When they are made with 🩷, they have ingredients all the way through, not just “dumped” on the top- and these were just that- lots of salsa, jalapeños & guacamole & thank you so much 🙏🏻for using real cheese- not that awful nacho cheese sauce used by so many places…. Our new favourite place x

Outstanding service, very good food, lovely surroundings. Could not fault this place. Will definitely return, well worth the short walk from Lord Street. Had the special 3 course menu for £24. Starters cauliflower, OH had ham hock. Cauliflower beautifully spiced, husband loved the ham hock. Mains £3 supplement for steak, I had gnocchi. Husband said steak is one of the best he has had in ages. The gnocchi was a very satisfying dish, gorgeous cameralised garlic, long stem broccoli with almonds. Very tasty. Puddings had were sticky toffee and lemon posset. Both divine. Generous portions. Very much worth it. Looking forward to returning to try the Sunday lunch. Would highly recommend.

We were a party of seven. We all had a mixed pick off the menu. I personally had the cheese and bacon burger, my onion ring was cold, and then I cut my burger in half. I picked up half of the burger, and it dripped stuff all over my top. The burger was awful, and I only ate half of it, I looked around the table, and all my family was pushing their meals away, unfinished the staff kept asking us if the meal was okay I think they noticed that the meals were not eaten, the meals were awful. My granddaughter got a children's meal, and the ice lolly sweet had been defrosted and refrozen she left it. I do not recommend the meals.
