Afternoon drink with friends. First visit on recommendation and didn’t disappoint. Greeted by warm and friendly staff who were excellent. Given olives and nibbles as we sat down. Lovely rose blush pinot wine. Dog friendly and reasonably busy but not overly so. Would definitely visit again.

We looked for a bar in Southport with music. We stumbled on Coopers. There was a cracking band on. The place is quite intimate and everyone was friendly. We’ll definitely go again.

Average fish for the price. No difference between small chips n large just the box sizes . Only just warm when we got home 2 min away .

Lovely local pub that lives up to it's reputation as one of Britain's smallest pubs. Friendly atmosphere and a good selection of beers to be enjoyed with the view of the marina. Went on a wintery day, but extensive outdoor seating would be very pleasant on a warm day.

A group of us went for Christmas lunch. The food was good. The service was quite good. The thing that spoiled it for us was one thing the manageress . Harsh abrasive unhelpful . One of my friends ordered a cup of tea she wouldn’t give it to him until she had proof. It was his. then when it came to paying for our meal, most unhelpful.. luckily they employed a lovely young lady waitress who dealt with us charmingly professionally with a smile. She should be the head waitress . As a group we have been there many times before we decided never again.

Thought we were going to have a superb takeaway judging from previous reviews. We paid top dollar (£59- which we were pre warned about when ordering) for two mains with egg fried rice. We were sorely disappointed and felt thoroughly ripped off. The mains were average and the fried rice was gloopy. Never again. Save your money.

Outstanding service, very good food, lovely surroundings. Could not fault this place. Will definitely return, well worth the short walk from Lord Street. Had the special 3 course menu for £24. Starters cauliflower, OH had ham hock. Cauliflower beautifully spiced, husband loved the ham hock. Mains £3 supplement for steak, I had gnocchi. Husband said steak is one of the best he has had in ages. The gnocchi was a very satisfying dish, gorgeous cameralised garlic, long stem broccoli with almonds. Very tasty. Puddings had were sticky toffee and lemon posset. Both divine. Generous portions. Very much worth it. Looking forward to returning to try the Sunday lunch. Would highly recommend.

Come here frequently,coffee is best in southport, staff are lovely and friendly. Prices are reasonable compared to other cafes

Lovely place. Staff so friendly and there is a great view over the marine lake. Was my first time visiting there today and would definitely go again. The cake was delicious

Wanted a change from a Domino's... Pizzas were good, just lacked a little bit crisp to the crust. Staff were spot on.. Offer 4 pizza and 4 sides was very good value. Will be back..

Went with a friend for a quick Christmas bite after work. We decided to go with the steak frites. Tough as old boots but that's what I expected (but hoped not to get) but as I will be pigging out over Christmas I didn't complain. I like the Imp and have had some good scran there but give the steak frites a swerve if you don't want to be taking out chunks of gristle from your mouth. Yuk!

The hoisin sauce was missing from our duck, the soups were bland and the chicken and ginger dish was overpowering. To be fair to them we didn’t call them to rectify the issue as they had already told us their driver was finishing early so we knew there was nothing they could do anyway. Just disappointing

Tired looking pub in need of decorating could be doing better, people friendly enough, good selection of food but average quality. Needs help
