Excellent food. We tried here for a late lunch, although the waitress was on her own and really busy she was very attentive to her customers. Very reasonably priced. We also tried the coffee and cake deal and breakfast during our stay, all excellent value and lovely staff

Afternoon drink with friends. First visit on recommendation and didn’t disappoint. Greeted by warm and friendly staff who were excellent. Given olives and nibbles as we sat down. Lovely rose blush pinot wine. Dog friendly and reasonably busy but not overly so. Would definitely visit again.

Visited on probably six times during summer months this year 2024 , me and my wife rate the fish & chip /steak pie lunch 10/10 , meals are served hot , on a warm plate , freshly cooked , with a complementary fried onion ring ( very tasty ) and slice of fresh lemon perfect with the cod fish, but the best of all is Sandra`s home made Tartar sause , made by Sandra herself , so creamy and satisfying , probably the best Tartar I have ever tasted , for a fairly priced and enjoyable lunch visit this place , but most of all , ask for Sandra`s home made Tartar its the best , Southport Locals Ian & Deb

Oh my Lord. I can’t say enough good about this place. I was served by a nice man called Christian and lovely lady called Chantelle - now, they were the best servers of all time. I asked for a ‘Rum Mule’ cocktail and it was served so quickly and tastes amazing. I also knocked my glass off the table and Christian dived and caught it before it hit the floor! He grazed his elbow and claimed it was of no issue. Chantelle dressed his wound and continued their shift after hygienicly washing their hands. By god, you need to attend this pub on a Friday night. I’m in love with the place. Best pub in Milton Keynes. Goodnight fellas! :)

We took a party of just under forty of our Southport Friendship Group there for lunch today. Food was perfect, as were the staff. As usual, I spoke to everybody, and every one of the group enjoyed the day. We were greeted more like old friends than customers as we arrived, and our people (Mostly elderly) were well looked after.

Outstanding service, very good food, lovely surroundings. Could not fault this place. Will definitely return, well worth the short walk from Lord Street. Had the special 3 course menu for £24. Starters cauliflower, OH had ham hock. Cauliflower beautifully spiced, husband loved the ham hock. Mains £3 supplement for steak, I had gnocchi. Husband said steak is one of the best he has had in ages. The gnocchi was a very satisfying dish, gorgeous cameralised garlic, long stem broccoli with almonds. Very tasty. Puddings had were sticky toffee and lemon posset. Both divine. Generous portions. Very much worth it. Looking forward to returning to try the Sunday lunch. Would highly recommend.

Lovely place. Staff so friendly and there is a great view over the marine lake. Was my first time visiting there today and would definitely go again. The cake was delicious

We are regulars at the Marsh Harrier and enjoy popping in for a drink or two as the staff in there are great. The chef had only just started work for the evening so we decided to stay and have a meal, we ordered a plant based burger and chicken combo which we were looking forward to. When our meals arrived I saw that the skin on the chicken looked very crispy which I normally like but unfortunately the chicken was very over cooked to the extent that the chicken wing was totally unable to pulled apart. As I don't like to complain I told the waitress who came to take our plates about how bad the chicken was and showed her how over cooked it was. I wasn't expecting to have a refund or to make a fuss although I think I was within my rights to do so but the only response was a quip of 'oh sorry bout that' and took our plates away, end of story. Needless to say that it is with a heavy heart that we will no longer be calling in for a drink in the near future.

A small, compact cafe with a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Definitely a cut above the average park cafe - nice coffee and a good selection of cakes and traybakes. The breakfasts looked good as well.
